- Jolene (8/5): It ok if you can handle the stairs - Nice enough place, would have booked somewhere else had I know the elevator was broken, after walking around all day you had to hike 3 flights of stairs to reach the 2nd floor. Not something I want to do on vacation. The room was pretty nice, tight quarters, and the lock for the door was interesting. Note that you are done in the temple bar area so lots rowdy drunk people yelling through the street, we had to leave our windows cracked open as it was pretty hot in the room without having the heat on.
- Adrian (6/5): - If you want a place to just sleep, with limited facilities but in Temple Bar area, this may suffice. The elevator/lift did not work, and I understand has not worked for several months. The room was pretty small with limited storage. No air conditioning, although an electric floor fan was provided. We could not get regular TV channels to show on the TV in our room. The front desk attempted to help but were unsuccessful. Although they said someone would come to fix it, no one ever did. The reason I am rating average rather than poor is cost. We were attending the Pittsburgh-Minnesota NFL game, and this was the only place in Dublin with available rooms, and cost seemed very reasonable given the demand for hotel rooms in the city.

- DEAN (6/5): - The lift was broken and we were on the 4th floor. I had my 90 year old Mother in law with us with no way of getting her up to the room. The staff was not able to give us another room due to the hotel being fully booked. My daughter and son in law also had a room booked. Luckily they were only on the 2nd floor. If it wasn't for that, I don't know what we would have been able to do at that point.

- Jeffrey (10/5): - Room was clean. Staff were welcoming. Was exactly what I needed for a central location. I walked all over the place from this spot. Didn’t even use the transit pass I bought. If you’re fit and willing to walk 45-1hr in any direction you will see so much!

As others have mentioned, obviously there was noise given the area, but that should be expected. Lift still out of order, just something to note with luggage!

- Peter (2/5): - My stay at the Temple Bar Townhouse in late September 2025 was extremely disappointing. I was returning to Canada after 2 weeks walking the Camino Portuguese and I had to overnight in Dublin. I chose a reasonably priced hotel in the Temple Bar area so I could enjoy the activity in central Dublin. Of all my accommodations in Portugal and Spain over the previous 2 weeks, my stay at the Temple Bar Townhouses was most disappointing. The room was quite nice and the bathroom was very good; however, I found the staff to be challenging from the moment I walked into the hotel. I asked for a recommendation for a restaurant and the gentleman in the hotel immediately recommended an Irish pub just down the street. However, as I found out later, this pub was affiliated with the Temple Bar Townhouse and may not have been the best choice for an authentic Irish lunch. I would not stay at this hotel again. It was not a good experience.

Downside of our stay…the elevator was broke and not working. Our room was on the 3rd floor so made it difficult carrying luggage up several flights of stairs. There is no air/air conditioning (which is mentioned on their listing) and it was August so it was hot and stuffy! Fortunately we ran into a housekeeper on 1st night who offered us a fan. Unfortunately the fan was low powered and didn’t give us much air.

So we had to carry it all down and then back up again. Our room was small and we found an earring in the middle of the room so it wasn't vacuumed. The location was very convenient in the heart of the city but this did make it a bit noisy.

- Tatjana (6/5): Dublin Temple - Very nice staff! Location great if you want the buzzling scene of the Temple area in Dublin. However the rooms are small, and extremely hot in the room. So not stay here in the middle of the summer. It was ca 15-20 C when we stayed.

- Robert (4/5): - No AC which i understand hard to find in Ireland but no fan as well and window only opens a tiny bit. Very small room but i knew that already. No fridge. No chair. The worst part was the elevator was out and the construction that started 7am next door. Could not sleep. It was awful.
- Jane (8/5): - This was a good place for a short stop in Dublin, near to all the sights and action. The room was small with no storage but fine for our overnight stay. Otherwise it was well set up and well equipped, the bed was comfortable and the shower worked well. We had a problem at check-in because Expedia had not transferred the payment to the hotel and the hotel wanted to have received the money before we checked in. This was resolved by someone coming from the sister hotel but we were delayed about half an hour. The staff were all very helpful though in sorting the issue.

However the location is a double-edged sword: close to so many attractions / pubs make it super convenient BUT the noise from the street is super irritating. People out partying right outside the hotel until the wee hours. Would have liked to sleep with the windows open as there's no other ventilation in the room but had to shut them bc of the noise.
- Dee Anne (6/5): - This is an old, but beautiful property. It is right in the middle of activity, so the noise is to be expected. The property is in the process of updating. A bit more attention to cleaning the rooms would help. That being said, we did enjoy our stay here. The location was ideal.
- Brian (8/5): Good value for money - Room was small and rather warm (no aircon), but very clean and comfortable. Looks like it's recently been refurbished and had limited amenities but bedding and towels were clean and luxurious. Room was also surprisingly quiet considering it's in the heart of Temple Bar. All in all, very good value for money and I would definitely use again - ideal for a one or two night stay.

Our room had a musty odor and faced a view of trash and debris outside. Additionally, the lobby felt unclean, which gave a poor first impression upon arrival.
