Guest Reviews
- Brad (10/5): - Sparkling clean room. Staff and as courteous and professional. Parking lot was cramped and dirty.
- Mark (4/5): Not Recommended - Strange place. They don’t clean the rooms even when you ask them. They have tons of big rental trucks in the parking lot, so they’re running a few businesses there.Hot water sucks. But end positive, the beds were comfortable.
- Thomas (6/5): - No coffee pots!!! Newly updated rooms with modern touch. Very comfortable beds. Full size refrigerator in closet so nowhere to put clothes. Big draw back no coffee pots in room. Starbucks real close but you would have to walk or drive. Receptionist very pleasant. Can’t beat the price.
- Billie Jo (4/5): - The property is under constru
- ROBERT (6/5): - The room looked nice but nowhere to hang clothes and the in wall fireplace wasn't even wired in. The toilet was so short that it must've been intended for a kiddie's day care center. and it's all still under construction.
- Courtney (10/5): - Great hotel for a great value!
- Gregory (6/5): - This place feels like a work in progress, or someone's first attempt at a hotel. The room had a giant TV and fireplace... but nowhere to hang your clothes. The bathroom was freshly remodeled but clearly unfinished and the showerhead was too low for anyone over 5'6" or so. The whole place had a surreal, off kilter quality to it. That being said, the staff was very friendly, the location is great, and it was clean and comfortable.
- Teresa (8/5): - Liked that it had no carpets. Though it made the room cooler, it also contributed to the cleanliness.
Evening staff helpful in carrying my suitcase upstairs. Small hotel w no elevator.
A bit difficult to find entrance even with gps.
Easy parking.
- Jodeyne (8/5): - Very basic. Comfy bed, nice, large screen tv with good channels but little else. No gym, coffee. Host had no knowledge of area or amenities.
- Angelick (10/5): Just great for time alone - I love the room set up, everything was easy to find and the building is close to everything you need
- Scott (8/5): Not great on the outside but rooms are very nice - The outside of the facility is not great looking and inside the common areas there are several missing vents, fixtures, the deck area was a mess upstairs. However inside the rooms were very nice, clean, and felt freshly renovated.
- Jodi (10/5): - Property is very clean. Staff were friendly and efficient. Only issue was the outlet by the sink didn’t work. Ample parking, with easy entrance and exit. TV was amazing, as well as the fireplace in the room! Property is secure with room key entrances.
- Starla (10/5): Clean and updated, we loved our stay! - I wasn't sure what to expect at our stay at the Wexford, because I saw other reviews stating the hotel was under construction. However, we were very pleasantly surprised. The hotel was clean and updated. The shower heads in the shower were absolutely amazing. We also loved the size of the tv as well.
There was not a breakfast available, but Starbucks is within walking distance, and we walked there for coffee in the morning.
This was a great stay overall, and I would highly recommend this hotel.
- Damon (10/5): - Definitely stay here, it’s clean and looks great!
- Julie (8/5): - Large tv
- Ashley (8/5): - Water leaking from ceilings in hall but it is still under construction room is really nice could be cleaner still has some areas in the room that are durty from construction
- Crystal (2/5): - This hotel is filthy. I left dirty footsteps in the shower when I got in because the floors are so dirty. My room didn’t have hot water. I called the front desk and she said she’d “look into it”. 45 minutes later I called back and the only thing she could say was that maintenance was not there. I demanded a new room with hot water, and they did accommodate that. The room does not have a closet. The lighting is awful. Half of the outlets don’t work in either room. The AC is so loud. My key didn’t work on 2 different days, in which I had to go to the front desk each time. I made a mistake with my reservation and needed an additional night. I had not other choice, they then charged me 160.00 for this terrible room. They wouldn’t even give a discount for the water situation, and charged me full price. This is a terrible hotel, filthy, inconvenient, with terrible customer service. AVOID AT ALL COSTS
- Ronald (10/5): - They are still doing some work around the hotel, but the remodeled rooms were beautiful. Can't beat them for the price.
- Kent (4/5): - This hotel was recently refurbished and therefore the rooms and the furnishings are Immaculate, everything is just like new. In spite of this, I would not be anxious to stay here again. There are too many things that just aren't acceptable. There are no hangers in the rooms, and nowhere to hang one, even if there were. We asked the front desk for hangers and they said they couldn't provide any. Even if you bring your own hangers, the only place to hang anything is on the shower curtain rod. There is no closet, no wardrobe, not even a rod attached to the wall where you could hang your coat. My wife was in a wedding party and had nowhere to hang her dress.
Next, there is no elevator.
Next, there was no kleenex.
Next, the hotel chose to use very thin, cheap, toilet seats which place the seat perilously close to the surface of the water in the bowl. It was too close for anyone, but absurdly close for an adult male. It was impossible to use comfortably.
There is much that's good about the hotel, the rooms are large and in wonderful condition, but until they get some of the fundamental amenities right, it will not be a place I would wish to stay.
- Lane (8/5): - Very nice room for the price and convenient location. Would stay again.
- William (10/5): - I enjoyed my stay - my room was nice, clean , and quiet. Staff were all very helpful and polite.
My only complaint is that there was no closet or even wall pegs to hang up a coat or garment back so my suit wouldn’t be wrinkled. With fall weather coming, people will need to have some place to hang up jackets rather than having to throw them over the sofa.
- Bradley (10/5): Comfortable stay - Nice new and clean. Good location
- Dwight (6/5): - Recently renovated.
- Stacy (10/5): Mother / daughter back to school shopping trip - This hotel was absolutely beautiful on the inside. Huge wall mounted TV. A fireplace that changes color beneath, touch screen vanity and waterfall shower. The hotel desk person was a very kind gentleman. My only thing was I wish there was a coffee maker to go along with the nice fridge and microwave. With that being said there is a Starbucks right in front of the hotel. Would definitely stay there again and most likely will within the next 6 months.
- Staci (10/5): - This property was newly renovated. When we checked in, we inquired about the laundry room (hours, cost, location, etc). She told us that the washing machine was free but the dryer was coin operated. That was not true, $2 to wash, $3 to dry. I didn’t have enough quarters to dry, and front desk didn’t have any change, so she let me dry my clothes in the hotel dryer. That was a save! We got a king bed suite. It was spacious, clean, and fairly new. And thank goodness NO carpet! I hate carpet in hotel rooms… gross. The only thing was the shelf on the wall was falling off. It wasn’t put up good. Oh and the security lock on the door was broken. The AC worked well, cool lighted (fake) fireplace, rain faucet shower, full size refrigerator, and bed was comfy: The room light was a nice big bring LED light, but the sink/vanity light needed to be more bright. Overall, it was good and we would stay here again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Renewed and Reopened - Just reopened after remodeling. Still upgrading decor such as pictures and clothes hooks. Large refrigerator with freezer. Great stay and will return for future visits to Pittsburgh.
- Libro (10/5): - Clean, comfy and in a great location
- Robin (10/5): - Great staff and very nice place. Compacted area it’s located in but still close to the main city and great eating places near by!
- Eric (6/5): - Very poor remodel job. Room was unfinished. Walls too thin. Could hear the people in the room next to us having sex in the middle of the night.
- Roberta Ann (8/5): - The fake fireplace in the room was nice. The walls were thin so that the party in the next room was loud. I would go out to my car and there was always someone in the parking lot smoking or talking on the phone or both. I had to ask to have my room serviced.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The bed was very hard and uncomfortable other than that it was a nice place
- Sharen (6/5): Work in Progress - We were there at the Wexford several days after the opening. Our room was newly renovated, modern fixtures, comfortable bed, refrigerator and microwave provided, large tv above a modern fireplace.
More needs to be done to make it a top-rated hotel.
Only some outlets in the room worked. No closet, no hooks or towel racks, no coffee pot, no breakfast. Construction materials laying around in outside spaces. More time needed to finish the job before opening. Potential is there to make it a desired hotel. I hope it turns into that.
- Ava (6/5): - Renovation on room was not completed 😕
- Verified traveler (8/5): Clean rooms, great value - Our room was recently renovated, and was very visually appealing. The beds were comfortable. My only suggestion would be to use comforters that are a softer texture.
Clean bathroom and room. No hot water in the shower in the morning initially, but after about 10 minutes, there was hot water flowing. It was a great stay for the price!
- Courtney (10/5): - clean and new. very modern and cozy.
- Santiago (8/5): - Clean and quiet, staff very courteous and helpful. Hotel is undergoing renovations so some areas were inaccessible. No breakfast.
