Guest Reviews
- Lubomir (8/5): Good place - Pleasant staff, clean room, quiet neighborhood. Gorgeous nature around.
- Devin (6/5): - The room was decent for the price. But the facilities were old and run down. The air conditioner broke in the first room I was assigned. I appreciate the manager giving me another room. The next room had a working air conditioner, but it had a leaking faucet. I liked that the room had a microwave to heat water.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Worst hotel service - My family and I got 2 rooms for 3 nights each. Not once did we get our rooms cleaned. Asked front desk for tissue since room wasn’t serviced which was after midnight after coming back from a local event, the clerk or seemed to be owner said not until the morning. So we had to go to the nearest convienance store to purchase our own. Owner also made us wait for clean towels and which he promised our rooms to be cleaned the on our 3rd day but once again it was not cleaned. This has been the worst hotel we ever stayed at. There has been better more 6 we stayed at that was more accommodating and understanding. I recommend not to ever stay there again
- Sunny (8/5): Really Great for the price! - We paid half what most of our friends across the street paid and had two very comfortable beds, clean room, a fridge, and desk. I would highly recommend them if you are not looking for a fancy hotel, but want great value and comfortable accommodations!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Nothing fancy but it was clean and it was a place to sleep is all I needed
- OJ (6/5): - Very bare bones room, but clean.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - This is a older hotel that has been in use for many years. It is nice, but the bathroom really needs to be remodeled. However, you get what you pay for because it is actually one of the cheaper hotels in the area.
- Heather (8/5): It was okay..... - A lot of in room that need fix, tv with captions wasn’t working, most of plug in was loose, not enough hot water in shower,
- Steve (8/5): Nice price - Inexpensive, small, clean and comfortable bed. Tiny soaps.
- Ben (8/5): Good stay - Was a good night
- Robert (10/5): Nicely renovated - The hotel was clean and quiet and conveniently located. Good value for solo overnight.
- Eric (8/5): Central location - Just an over night stay, but room was what I expected. A little dated but clean and manager/owner was continually checking to see if everything was ok. Would stay there again.
- Sharon (4/5): - Needs maintenance. Bathroom so small you can't close the door. Room the size of a closet.
- George (10/5): Great Stay! - We traveled 1600 miles on this leg of our road trip. We spent an extra day in the area to more fully enjoy Dinosaur and the area. This Motel 6 was, by far, the best of all the Motel 6s of our trip. The highlight was the attitude and helpfulness of the manager. Our trailer had an electrical issue and all the food was spoiling. He quickly hooked us up to his power source and saved our food.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Not a bad place - The room was cold when I first got there... it after it warmed up I didn't have any complaints at all
- Carol (10/5): Excellent stay - We needed to stay-husband had to be in hospital next day-This took worries of bad weather and roads away-Great staff!
- Melissa (8/5): Great for the price - It was good for a great rate
- Verified traveler (10/5): Old But Nice - Older motel but very nice and clean and comfortable
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great for price - Everything was good but no coffee in room and had to wait until office opened.
- Davina (8/5): - Stayed there before we visited Dinosaur National Monument. Super close. Hotel was a nice size, very clean. I would definitely stay there again. Front desk guy was very nice.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Unsafe environment go somewhere else - No good! Felt very unsafe here. Door didn't lock correctly. There were strange activity in the parking lot (women getting in and out of rooms). Very bad looking hotel and dated rooms. Not clean as well. Would never return here. Definitely not a place for families.
- sven (2/5): Nie wieder. Sehr dreckig. - Das schlimmste Hotel das ich je gesehen habe. Sehr dreckig.Heruntergekommen und unglücklich gelegen an der Straße und somit sehr laut. Zudem noch viel zu teuer.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Bike ride - This is a older motel. Could use some work, the A/C was very nosey. Made it hard to sleep. When I turned on the water it came out brown and rusty color after it ran a little while it cleared up. To me its fair, not great.
- kevin (4/5): It serve the purpose - It serve the purposevery nice staff appreciated the fresh water bottles when we got there just an old building poor temperature control just outdated and it serves the purpose we needed it for overnight stay could use some help with their continental breakfast also thank you
- Mike (8/5): Nice location very much in the center of town. - The Inn was easy to find. But, even though we were on Main the traffic was not heard. staff was accommodating and courteous it was a pleasant stay.
- E (4/5): Check out the room first. - The bed was fine, the room was clean. But after it was warmed up and we were asleep a terrible odor permeated the room. It woke me at 2:00 a.m. and got stronger and I couldn't sleep although I tried by covering my head and holding my breath, trying not to wake my husband who can sleep through anything. When we needed to be up we made haste to vacate the room. We left a message for the staff as they were sleeping. I wouldn't be surprised to learn there was something dead hidden above the ceiling. :-). Just make sure you don't get room 136 and smell carefully before you carry your bags inside.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Poor hotel up-keep - Arrived and went to room and found bed un-made. Room a mess. Given another room. This one was okay, but in morning tried to get a shower and couldn't get any hot water. Breakfast was limited in choices and dried out.
Would not stay here again.
- Wally (8/5): Conveniently located on main road through Vernal - Staff was excellent in cancelling one day of an initial 2-day stay. Room looked as if it had been recently refinished with a more updated look. Good value for the money.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice Little Motel - I didn't expect too much, it was pretty inexpensive to stay here. It looks old-school when you first drive in, but the room was clean and everything was nice. I was pleasantly surprised
- Engineer/sales (8/5): small clean quaint - Great location . Small but cozy for one business travler. The toilet was backing up and this must be why there was a plunger in there? They need to do a better fix for plugged up sewer line.
- Smitty (2/5): Don't BOTHER!!!! - Tub surround/shower walls were covered with hair. Bathroom door would not close. Bed coverlet was soiled. Pillows were way to small to be comfortable. My wife wanted gone from the place ASAP. Six A.M. was none to soon for her even after retiring at one A.M. that morning.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Overnight - For the price I think we could have done lots better. The bed was comfortable but pillows were lacking in that area. The sofa bed, that our grandson was going to sleep on had no pillow. TV in the outer room didn't seem to work and the stand/table it was on was broken. The bathroom light switch was kind of scary, So we turned the outer light on and left the door open. The room smelled of smoke, I had not requested a smoke free room, but wasn't aware that it wasn't smoke free. It is close to JB's, grocery store, hardware and a dollar store.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Great as a dive hotel...... - The photos say that it is remodeled. It is maybe in the beginning stages of remodeling. I found my room with a dresser broke, tile in the bathroom not adhered to the wall correctly. The carpets need a deep cleaning. The chairs were all beaten up. I would not even sit in the chairs due to the lack of cleanliness. This would be what I would call a dive hotel. I kept hoping and praying that I would not find bedbugs. Luckily, I did not, but my room just made me itch looking at it. Anytime I left my room, I had to have my key redone as it would not hold the code. I have spent 8 years staying in at least four different hotels a week. This is by far the worst that I have stayed in.
- JoAn (2/5): Save yourself and don't stay here - Room is very small, a/c was not working at all in a 98 degree weather, though they gave us a box fan it did'nt help because it was just circulating hot air and was the worst night i've ever had. I checked in at 7 pm and left at 6 am. Save your money and save yourself by not staying in this dump.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Three days - The connential breakfast was disappointing. The milk tasted sour, pastries were stale, and no fresh fruit as stated in their materials. The same items were placed for breakfast each day of my stay.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good Sleep - This hotel was clean and quiet--- we slept well which was our only objective
We stayed here two nights on our trip--- one going and one coming back
- Mrs. D (2/5): Creepy - It was after dark when we arrived in Vernal, when we first saw the hotel on the left side of Main Street, it was not apparent that the hotel was even still open for business.
I drove around the block to be sure it was the right hotel. Lights were visible from the makeshift office area, but only when coming from the other direction.
The heater did not work well (or even at all). The desk clerk actually entered our room before we did just to get the heater working. We froze most of the night.
To sum up our experience . . . this hotel is creepy. Pick a different one if you go to Vernal.
- Becky (2/5): Terrible hotel, not worth the money. - The room is grimy. The heat didn't work properly, and the outer room (we had a suite) was boiling hot while the back room was freezing cold. Once everything finally warmed up, there was no adjusting the heater - it was on FULL or off. Breakfast was quite possibly the worst hotel breakfast I've ever seen. Go somewhere else.
- pat (8/5): good value for the money - good value, good location, continental breakfast with waffles and friendly staff
- Venkat (2/5): Not impressed - Not impressed. There are far better places to stay
- KaLee (8/5): Good for the money - To be completely honest, I thought it was a different hotel. I got confused and thought it was one we had stayed at before. I was very worried pulling in to check-in. We only paid for one night in case the rooms were horrible and we wanted to stay somewhere else. Turns out it was a great stay. The hotel is old and the heater took a little tweeking to get it running right but after it got running we were not cold in the least. Also, the water took a bit to warm up in the shower. Overall the staff was very nice, the rooms were clean, it's in a decent location, and it had a great price.
- mike (2/5): terrible - I travel a lot on business and stay in a LOT of hotels. This one ranks as 'bad' on my list.
NO hot water on ANY of the three days I stayed here (I tried morning and evening). ESPN is blocked so good luck watching the game or getting baseball scores. The light fixture next to the bed was falling off the wall and didn't work, so no reading except by overhead lights. NO breakfast (despite advertised continental breakfast) and signs in the lobby indicating 'breakfast served between 6:30-10am'. Staff not very friendly or helpful.
Give your money to someone else.
- Bill (8/5): Nothing special but good value for the money. - Everything in the room was clean and in good repair, although not new. Located near the center of this small town so everything (even Wal-Mart) is fairly close by.
