Would be nice to see something to cater to the 20-40s crowd - club/bar, a place with apps/happy hour style, better music, maybe a kids area with some claw machines since they cant play the casino...there are some missed opportunities. Overall a nice place but needs to work out some of the kinks.

- Troy (6/5): - So I'm not usually one to judge a service on one visit, but based on the amount of money I spent for one night, I felt I should clarify my poor rating. The hotel, as explained by the customer service staff during our check in, just opened this past July. The lobby and room was clean. The staff were informative when we arrived with our questions. Check in was a breeze. However, since we arrived late and tired from our road trip, we decided to order room service. It's done through the app QR code on the TV. Delivery was quick. But it was delivered in a take out box instead of plates. We ate our meal out of take out boxes with plastic forks and knives. No condiments provided. Not cool. Secondly, the pillows have plastic zippers on the covers. Found out when I scratched my back while turning over. Now I'm being picky here, but the TV channel selection didn't show the Blue Jay game 3 in the ALDS. Minor point but notable.

- Nicholas (4/5): - We were in second floor room that faces the casino. Because the rooms are adjacent to the casino roof the window isn’t floor to ceiling like they depict when you book it. Not only is the window much smaller than depicted it’s also frosted and non transparent up to 6+ feet high… it feels like sleeping in a basement. This isn’t really acceptable at the same price as the other rooms that have floor to ceiling windows that are actually windows. There should not be hotel rooms in this area, it should be gym or spa. If they want to put rooms here they should be discounted rooms. The funny thing is, it wasn’t even that busy, why would they put first time customer here at their new property. Speaks to bad service.

- Jaiden (10/5): - Went for a concert not really for the casino and it was honestly a great experience. Room was a decent size with a huge bathroom, two restaurants, two bars and basically a food court with a 24/7 snack and coffee bar. All the staff were super. I’m not a huge fan of casinos as they tend to be a lot but it was pretty chill (I stayed Sun-Wed so it wasn’t super busy) only issue was that it’s a bit far from the city and there is nothing around it, but besides that it was great!
- Sara (2/5): - The manager, Greg, was absolutely not helpful when the second room I had booked got canceled in their system for my guest. I had checked in the previous night and informed the reception that my guest was arriving late, we intentionally booked the extra night as we had to be at an event prior to the usual check in time. The staff made the error of not making that note, and when I brought this to Greg's attention, he did not offer any solution or compensation for their mistake as my guest had to book a hotel last minute further away from our event. There were also flies in my room that I couldn't get rid of! I stayed in a room with frosted windows and it made me feel so weird that I couldn't see outside, almost like not having a window at all! They also only make your room every other day (?!) which was a first for me. I've stayed at Hard Rock Hotels in Mexico and it was the best experience. Had high hopes for this location, but was definitely disappointed.

- Larry (2/5): - Arrived at 9:30 went through checkin processamd once checked in to a 4th floor room told that both elevators were down and in order to get to room we had to take stairs. My wife recently had 2 knee surgeries and stairs not an option. After I climbed 4 flights of stairs with our bags... I am done, my wife is down stairs and hopefully will be able to enjoy herself and hopefully the elevators are back on line soon so she can get up to the room. Sorry but for the cost of the room this is a horrible experience... and on a weekend that we are celebrating our anniversary. Thumbs down on this experience.

- Roger (6/5): - Check in as a hotel guest was challenging and frustrating. facility seems to cater to casino guests, not hotel quests. Check in parking was the biggest problem and frustration. Single lane for (drop off) only and 2 empty lanes for Valet. I understand it is best for the casino to charge additional fees for valet, but as a hotel guest there was nowhere to leave the car as you bring your bags in for check in to your room. I was scolded by a lady ( short blond hair) I was told that other guests could figure out where to park. ( I guess that means I’m the problem.

The food at the restaurants was also very good. It was a great two night stay and we are so glad there is somewhere now closer to drive to of this calibre and quality. - Verified traveler (2/5): Worst Hotel Experience I Can Remember - Regarding Room Service: 1. No one answers the phone, so I was forced to order through my television. As a result, preferences and important dietary considerations cannot be discussed. 2. Told it ends at 9:30pm, 9:45pm, 10pm and 10:30pm. Which is it? 3. They forgot multiple food items, then refused to bring them afterwards. One of the items was a Sprite, which was readily available from several open bars within the hotel. 4. Their employee lied, pretending that Gratuity is not included so that she would be tipped more. 5. Food did not come on an nice room-service table as usual (with glasses, utensils, condiments, etc), but instead it came in take-out food boxes. Was this Uber Eats or the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino?

We went to leave our original room door didnt lock ..so we had to change rooms and pack everything back up.. but with a little inconvenience we went on with our night and enjoyed ourselves..

- Ken (6/5): - I paid extra for a King suite with soaker tub. It indicated in the description and pictures. I was given a room without one, then switched rooms. This one also didn't have one. Why am I paying extra for a room without the amenities listed?
- brian (10/5): - Property was opened on July 3rd and is therefore brand new. Property was spotless, rooms were comfortable and spacious and several restaurants onsite. Thouroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend to all

- Brad (6/5): - Rooms are great, but when it comes to food and convenience, the hard rock struck out. They made their market place fully automated, so you’re ordering from a screen, difficult to modify or ask for something simple. We had reservations at steak house, even though it was 2/3 full we were told that if we didn’t have reservations we would not be allowed to sit. We had 9:00 reservations, we got our soup and 5 min after soup was given to us our steak came, so we couldn’t even enjoy the soup. Asked for medium rare, came medium well, we sent it back, was then told that the “heat” said it was medium rare so they will make it rare. New steak came and was 2/3 bone or fat and had zero flavour. Casino was packed, happening.

- Ben (8/5): - Great stay. Comfy, clean, friendly. Food options good, though Marketplace area was mostly empty during my days there. Only drawbacks: location, and unclear policies. Make sure you have what you need, since it’s miles from any shops. ‘Rideshare Zone’ for Uber lifts causes confusion. No in-room movies, just Netflix if you can sign in. Strange security and no-photography policies, and some staff were unaware of rules. Overall very fun though!

- Magdalena (10/5): - Great new hotel with comfortable new rooms, beautiful huge bathrooms. The main area by the lobby is where the casino is, so it's LOUD and busy all the time

- Adam (8/5): - The king suit was very modern and luxurious. Overall very well designed and has great potential to be even better. Also, this is a great addition to Ottawa. It will only get better!
