Guest Reviews
- Niall (2/5): Disorganised and uncaring - Booked through hotels.com, a week after booking was sent a private email requesting a €50 cleaning fee. On the day of check in no code was sent to me to access lock box so I had to call, a minor inconvenience but a an inconvenient nonetheless. On arrival the apartment had not been cleaned after last guest. I immediately notified and after approximately an hour I was told no one could clean for me so I had to sleep on the couch, related to this there were no clean towels to shower with in the morning.
On day two of my trip to Lyon I received several automated emails of the form "we hope you are enjoying your trip so far, please let us know if we can do anything for you", I replied to these emails and once I received a response "we are sorry for this, please kindly return keys to where you got them on check out "
- Jeremi (2/5): - HORRIBLE EXPÉRIENCE. Pratiques frauduleuses.
- Brian (2/5): - Don’t stay with Dify. If you have a problem they will not help or take responsibility. They’re cheap but it’s a high risk proposition.
The most annoying thing was that except for the first day of my 4 night stay, the elevator was broken. It’s a 6th floor apartment (American 7th floor, since in France the entry floor is floor 0). So i went up and down the about 140 stairs many times. The light for the stairwell was on a timer and would go off before i got all the way up, so I would go the last one or two floors in the dark or with my cellphone flashlight. When I contacted Dify and asked for a discount if I had to carry all my bags down 6 flights of stairs (which i did), the response was “oh, it’s a building problem, there’s nothing we can do”. As though they can’t give a discount. When I suggested i would leave a truthful review of the unit they said “let me talk to my manager”. Then nothing.
They’re trying to run this business with a dysfunctional web page. For example, you are supposed to get the code for the keys at 5 pm the day you get in, but it never showed up in the online page. I had to call to get it. Also i could not sign up for early check in, got 404 error. Emails were ignored.
VERY low ceilings. I’m 5’7 and I hit my head on things so many times.
This apt in Lyon is in a good location but on a bad street. I would not, for example, recommend my mother stay here. A homeless person was camped out on this block about two doors down my entire stay.
