• Richardson (10/5): Beautiful accommodation, unbeatable location, and exceptional hospitality from Diego made Quiote Quiote the perfect Puer - Our stay at Quiote Quiote in Puerto Escondido was honestly incredible. The accommodation itself is stunning, beautifully designed, comfortable, and perfectly located within walking distance to some of the best swimming beaches, cafes, and food spots in the area. The pool was an absolute lifesaver for escaping the heat after long days exploring. What truly made the experience special though was Diego. He was incredibly responsive, welcoming, and genuinely cared about making our stay the best possible. From thoughtful local recommendations to kindly allowing us to check in early and check out late free of charge, his hospitality went above and beyond. Could not recommend Quiote Quiote more highly. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. That we didn’t book longer!

• Marek (9/5): Nice oasis in Puerto Escondido. - The room was very unique, functional and pleasant. AC was very good. Shower/bathroom nice and functional. The pool in the courtyard was perfect to cool off and have a beer, we used it much more than we expected. The owner was very nice and responsive. No windows, makes it a bit weird, but you get used to it. A bit more storage to unpack would be appreciated, but it was not a deal breaker.

I love how cool (like the temperature) the cement buildings kept the rooms. Also i usually don’t like digital check in but these guys are on top of it and super friendly and proactive. Nothing!

Das Zimmer hatte eine kleine, gut ausgestattete Küchenzeile, ein bequemes großes Bett und eine gut funktionierende Klimaanlage (Wichtig zu wissen: zum Bad/Klo gibt es keine Tür). Die Betreuung durch den Gastgeber Diego war außerordentlich gut!

• James (8/5): - Quiet, excellent location nears restaurants and beaches. Rooms literally have no glass windows. There are louvers in the wall, which would let in some light, but then you have no air conditioning, which is absolutely essential. So you are in a cave.

• Migle (10/5): Great - Very clean apartment, comfortable bed, attentive host, the premises were cleaned and looked after every day. Host was very sweet and helpful, as well had some good recommendations to go to, also loved the location, quiet, but near the beaches. If you're interested in more lively area I guess it's further away and you need taxi for that, but we didn't go there and it was great. Nothing that can be easily solved, but there is noise coming from the outside, like dogs or birds in the morning, if you're a light sleeper it might be annoying, for us it didn't matter that much. Also toilet doesn't have any door, a bit niche decision

It was on a quiet street away from the boise in town but close enough to get everywhere on foot. We really enjoyed the spacious room and quiet facility.

Minor problem controlling shower temperature but mastered it eventually.

• Grecia (10/5): Exquisite place in Puerto Escondido - The location is excellent, in quiet Bacocho neighborhood. The apartments are new, refurbished and exquisitely clean. Everybody has a good attitude in the other apartments, and the attention from the hosts was marvelous. Nothing!

El propietario solo nos envió un mensaje pidiéndonos que cambiáramos de habitación por nuestra cuenta, lo cual no nos pareció adecuado para un establecimiento. Incluso después del cambio de habitación, los problemas de agua continuaron. Además, las tarifas para el check-in temprano y el check-out tardío no están indicadas en Booking, y los precios son extremadamente altos. Esto da una impresión de falta de transparencia. En general, la experiencia no estuvo a la altura y aún menos considerando el precio que pagamos. No recomendaría este establecimiento hasta que se solucionen estos problemas.

No esta en medio de bares y restaurantes, sin embargo a dos calles hay lugares para desayunar, comer y cenar. Y está casi enfrente de Playa Carrizalillo. Las instalaciones son modernas, nuevas y muy minimalistas. Nada. Todo excelente.

La habitación es amplia y cuenta con baño y regadera, además de un balcón, refrigerador y estufa. Destaca la limpieza de la habitación, ésta siempre se encontró limpia y con toallas limpias. La atención del anfitrión, Diego, fue excelente y nos hizo sentir seguros y atendidos durante toda nuestra estancia. Respondió nuestras dudas y nos brindó recomendaciones excelentes para nuestra estadía en Puerto Escondido.

• Marissa (9/5): - Beautiful interior design and architecture. Perfect communication and service. Squeaky clean and it felt very luxurious. The bed is super comfortable and spacious which made us extra happy given that beds in Mexico tend to be queen size. This bed could have fitted four people. Parking was available and there is easy (walking) access to beaches and restaurants. Cooking space and beach towels are provided. Because of the extraordinary architecture, the room has little daylight and you need artificial light during daytime (albeit beautiful lighting). Same for noise - be prepared to sleep with earplugs depending on the room location. As already mentioned by others the bathroom has no doors, which on the upside can bring you closer to the person you’re staying with. Despite those points above we still loved our stay and it was the most memorable accommodation we had in Mexico.

• littleboat (8/5): It was very lovely. - The place is very easy to find and is walking distant to a couple of lovely beaches and a stretch of restaurants and bars. The room is very spacious with mini fridge and hobs. The host was super good at communications and always checked in. Our room is at the front and because of the building structure, we could hear everything outside. And if you want to close the shutter, it is pitch black. I wasn't aware of that. So I would check with the host which room you were being booked in, if you would prefer quietness.

• Bobby (10/5): Geweldig! - De locatie, de rust, de kamer, Diego. Alles was echt geweldig. De locatie ligt in het “rustige” deel van Puerto Escondido en is heerlijk om te relaxen. Op 2 min lopen van de hoofdstraat van het gedeelte Bacocho. Zicatela vonden wij namelijk erg druk, wel heel leuk en makkelijk aan te rijden (binnen 10-15 min zit je in zicatela). De kamer voldeed aan alle wensen, lekker grote douche, groot en lekker bed, koelkast, zitgedeelte en een goede schoonmaak van de kamer. Alles was heel netjes. Ook was de kamer verrassend donker in de nacht. En als slotstuk krijg je echt een geweldige eigenaar: Diego. Wat een geweldige man, niks is teveel gevraagd. Hij is betrokken, aardig en geeft je hele goede tips over waar je evt kan gaan (niet alleen in Puerto Escondido, maar in heel Mexico). Ik heb echt hele leuke en goede gesprekken gehad en hij nodigde ons zelfs uit om gratis een dansles Salsa mee te doen bij zijn dansschool Los Bravos. Dit was ook echt een unieke ervaring en wij als ultieme beginners hebben echt genoten. Diego, bedankt! 👍🏻 Niks.
• Charlotte (10/5): Magical, and made even better by our wonderful host Diego! - An architectural delight! This property is absolutely gorgeous, located in the best part of Puerto Escondido, Rinconada, a small more local town minutes from the best beaches in Puerto Escondido, crystal clear waters and small waves make it a relaxing day by the beach, followed by so many wonderful cafes and restaurants to try (we recommend the wine bar La Bruja and the restaurant Almazul). Turtle sanctuary only a few minutes drive away to help release baby turtles at sunset. A 12 min drive into the hub of Puerto Escondido for more bars and restaurants. 6 rooms make it an intimate stay and a dip in the pool in the afternoon to cool off is wonderful. Diego is a truly the best host, going above and beyond to ensure our stay was as enjoyable as it can be (and upon finding out I’m pregnant, giving a small gift from Mexican culture to us for the baby). I would highly recommend staying here for the best experience in Puerto Escondido! Nothing!
• David (9/5): Excellent apartment in perfect location - Diego the owner was exceptional from a communication & helpfulness point of view. He even gave us a parasol to use for the beach. Location is in Rinconada part of Puerto Escondido which has a lovely easily accessible beach ( 5 min walk). Steps down and up are steep but would be manageable for most people. Location of apartments are in a quiet & safe area just away from Main road where most of bars & restaurants are. Apartment is fully kitted out with kitchen & utensils etc. if required. Fridge was extremely useful. The beach for ‘Turtle Release’ plays Bacacho is very close ( 10 mins max in taxi .. less than 100 pesos) and is a ‘must do’ activity. Can do it yourself ( get there before 5pm) and much cheaper than organised trips, but Diego will offer this information to you. Lovely Pacific sunsets! Very little. We were apartment 6 which had no balcony light ( as others did) If sitting out of night this would have been nice. Yappy neighbours dog very early some mornings but not every day. Not Diego’s fault but irritating on the days it barks!

• Caspar (10/5): Blissful stay in the perfect location - This was one of the best hotel we’ve ever stayed in. The design, the privacy, the location, the attention to detail, and Diego’s clear passion are all exceptional. The rooms are designed around a relatively small courtyard, but in such a way that each one has total privacy. We barely saw our neighbours during our seven night stay. The rooms themselves are designed to maximise airflow and ensure that they stay cool even in the middle of the day. They’re also just beautiful spaces to be in. The little kitchen was really useful too, and good if you’re looking to save a little money and make breakfast. Above all it’s the attention to detail in the rooms that stands out, they’re superb. Some reviews had said that the lack of bathroom door might be a problem - it wasn’t. The bathroom is set back from the bedroom and the loo is then behind a curved wall in the bathroom so it’s quite separate. The location is superb, it’s a 7 minute walk to the best beach in town (Playa Carrizalillo) and only 15-20 mins to the second best (Playa Bacocho). All the restaurants are a five minute walk away, but you’re set back and so not disturbed. There’s so much to do in the area. We ended up talking 6 hours of surfing classes with Donovan from Pacific Surf Academy which is only a 10 minute walk from the hotel. Overall we had an incredible time and we can’t wait to come back.

The property is beautiful, peaceful and thoughtfully designed, making it the perfect place to unwind and enjoy such a special trip. Our room was bright, comfortable and spotless, and the whole space has a calm, effortless vibe that makes you feel at home instantly. Diego was truly exceptional. He was warm, welcoming and incredibly accommodating throughout our stay. He even surprised us with roses and champagne in our room, which made our honeymoon feel extra special and memorable. His recommendations were spot on and he struck the perfect balance of being available without ever feeling intrusive. The location is ideal, quiet and serene but still close to amazing beaches, cafes and bars. We could not have imagined a better place to spend our honeymoon. We would return in a heartbeat and highly recommend Quiote Quiote to anyone visiting Puerto Escondido. Nothing

• Martin (10/5): - Quiote Quiote is a small development of 6 apartments. There is a small pool but no reception/bar or restaurant, but there is a really good selection on your doorstep. Great room with good kitchen facilities. Excellent air conditioning and roof fan helped keep the room temperature comfortable at night. The support team are available on WhatsApp and very responsive and helpful. Difficult getting a good shower temperature but not too much of a problem.

• Paige (10/5): Beautiful, tranquil space very close to the beaches. - Great location, kind and attentive staff, clean room, beautiful architecture and design. The staff were always there to help, whether I needed to store luggage, find a souvenir shop, or find an airport taxi. The pool was cute and small, perfect for a little refresh after a long day in the sun. There maybe could be lounge chairs around the pool for the people with upstairs rooms - but I did enjoy my balcony chairs.

• Jessica (10/5): Beautiful + would stay again - The architecture and design of the apartments are so nice. They look exactly like the photos and the bed and bathroom are very comfy. Diego was extremely helpful and gave us great recommendations, including a very easy car hire that came to the apartment. They had beach umbrellas and towels which were also great. The location is a 5 min walk to plenty of good shops and the beach where there’s lots of surfing lessons. Initially I was hesitant about the bathroom not having a door, since I was travelling with a friend, but it worked out fine for us. Also, upon looking around before booking, many other properties didn’t have bathroom doors so it’s maybe common.

For 4 nights, he gave us amazing recommendations, and he was truly attentive to our needs. We travel often, everywhere in the world, and I can say that Quiote Quiote is a rare gem. You won't be disappointed. Location is perfect. The room is comfortable and clean. And the most special part is that you feel you are been hosted by your family. hey take really good care of you. • Mj (9/5): A charming stay in an unusual setting, close to nature - The hosts were very communicative and helpful! The buildings themselves are beautifully constructed and sleek and modern. The area was convenient, close to local restaurants and bars, and felt calm at night. It felt more like an Airbnb than a hotel, because there are no staff on site, and check in and out is done remotely. The rooms don't have regular windows - there are holes in the wall, covered by shutters on the inside. This means that you have to choose between letting in light, and letting in the hot air. For most of the time we were sitting in quite a dark room, which seems a shame because the area is so beautiful. The pool is quite small, you can't really swim in it. And we didn't feel comfortable to sit on the balcony, because you are visible immediately to all your neighbours - there isn't much privacy in the outdoor spaces.

El mini-bar cuanta con unas cervezas y aguas de cortesía que son muy buenas para el calor. volvería a hospedarme allí. La ubicación el hotel esta alejado de la zona de restaurantes y sitios para salir. sin embargo, si quieres pazy tranquilidad, este sitio esta muy bien.

• Tabitha (8/5): Beautiful spot and would come back. Felt very safe and Diego was best host - Fabulous stay - property has everything you need and Diego is so helpful!!! There are some great food spots nearby (Metxcalli was our fav) and there is everything you need in walking distance, including great beach! Location is a little bit away from a lot of places we wanted to go (about $15 - $20 NZD to taxi to La Punta which is where a lot of food / bars are). So perfect place for people wanting relaxation but if wanting to go out every night should stay closer to La Punta / Zicatela

The pool was great to dip in after the ocean. The design and furnishings were lovely - I will definitely be back. The service was also impeccable. Incredibly helpful and kind! Also - as a solo female traveller I felt very safe and at home.

• Lily (10/5): Lovely stay - Beautifully curated property and room. Everything inside was selected and designed with a lot of thought and care. Bed was so comfortable and pillows were so fluffy. Felt very safe and peaceful. Really close walk to nice beaches. AC was great. I loved how dark the room got at night (I cannot sleep with bright windows). Much much better than any Airbnb! Highly recommended.

• Emily (10/5): Beautiful property and the perfect base in PE - Beautiful property, exactly as pictured! The host is incredibly friendly and provides many restaurant and activity recommendations. He also provides a free beach umbrella, which is very handy. Carrazilillo is a beautiful beach and is around a ten minute walk alway, including the steps down to the beach. It’s easy swimming there compared to other beaches in PE which have giant waves. We enjoyed mornings at the beach and cooling off in the pool after! For dinner there is more going on at Playa Zicatela, but it was easy to arrange taxis to and from for just over 100 pesos. The toilet didn’t have a door and is instead around a corner but that’s just personal preference.

• Isabel (9/5): Great place, would definitely stay again. - Fabulous room with a mini kitchen. I loved the wooden shutters. Diego was excellent at communicating and saved us many hours travelling from Oaxaca (nearly ended up on the old mountain road…that would have been 11 hrs!!) Lovely restaurants nearby and bakery at the end of the road. Pool was great for a quick dip Maybe heard a bit too much from our neighbours!!!!
