We were disappointed by the value for money and the lack of transparency. We felt that the photos and description significantly embellished the reality. The accommodation clearly lacked maintenance, cleanliness, and comfort. We raised the issue with the new manager. If you stay there, let's hope the property will have improved by then.

• Milagros (5/5): Arrepentidos del lugar que elegimos. No hay relación calidad-precio - La ubicación era muy buena. El departamento era amplio. El chico que nos recibió fue muy amable. Uff. No había privacidad, ya que todas las ‘cuevas’ compartían una misma terraza, los jacuzzis estaban todos ahí, o sea que todos te podían ver. Un desperdicio de jacuzzi. El cual no estaba tan limpio cuando llegamos. Además de que había obreros en construcción en el mismísimo pasillo de entrada, lo cual hacía q esté todo más sucio, con ruidos y poca privacidad. Le falta mucho mantenimiento a la propiedad, está lleno de humedad y no tiene suficiente ventilación. El baño por ejemplo, lleno de humedad, y cada vez que te bañabas, tardaba horas en secarse un poco. Había un aparato que juntaba la humedad, el cual teníamos que vaciar a cada rato. Los pisos tienen manchas de hace mucho tiempo. Se sentía el polvo en el sillón. Realmente daba la sensación de sucio. Además de que no nos dejaron nada para el día a día. No había cafetera, pava eléctrica, algo que podamos utilizar, solo un plato y dos vasos. Los televisores eran viejísimos. No eran smart TV y ni siquiera andaban todos los canales. Un aburrimiento el día que nos tocó quedarnos por la lluvia.

• Caroline (6/5): Inadequate and depressing. - The location was good and the shower was powerful. The staff tried to assist but wasn’t able to do much about our disappointment. Nothing else was good. It felt dirty and damp and everything smelt strange after leaving. The hot tub was absolutely boiling and we couldn’t use it much. One day was completely spoilt. It felt unfinished and depressing. Not worth the money and we felt the room was much smaller than advertised. We asked to change the room but it wasn’t possible. Not a comfortable stay at all. Made a complaint about hot tub dirtiness and broken surround. Felt we were in a building site with workers walking in front of our relaxing area. Very disappointing. Not even a bottle of water for arrival.

• Pamela (8/5): Great location, spacious suite & great host! - We had a wonderful stay at Cliff Aura Suites in Fira. The location is fantastic—right in the heart of everything, with stunning views over the caldera that made every moment feel special. A big thank you to our host, Sardi, who was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. When we had an issue with the air conditioning, he responded immediately, resolved the situation very quickly, and kindly upgraded us to another room, which we really appreciated. The suite itself was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, making it a relaxing place to unwind after exploring the island. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely recommend staying here! The only thing to note is that there are two rooms within the cave that don’t receive direct sunlight. If that’s important to you, I’d recommend booking one of the other rooms, as they offer more natural light and even better views. - Smart TVs would also be a lot better being able to watch Netflix or use Youtube late at night.

Eigener Wirlpool, schönes Anwesen. Zimmer hat kein Fenster nach draußen, dadurch schlechter Luftaustausch. Pool und Terrasse siund von außen und von den anderen Appartements einsehbar, dadurch keine richtige Privatsphäre.

• Luisa (2/5): Un pessimo soggiorno - Nulla, perché la buona posizione non vale tutti gli aspetti negativi Sono rimasta molto stupita date le numerose recensioni positive, ma le foto (almeno per la nostra camera: Suite superior con vasca idromassaggio e vista Caldera) sono molto ingannevoli. Si vede una finestra, che nella nostra stanza non c’era, solo la porta di entrata. Si entra da un corridoio che porta a un altro corridoio, per poi arrivare al letto, il tutto senza alcuna luce naturale o apertura verso l’esterno (salvo la porta di entrata all’inizio del primo corridoio). È come stare in una grotta, situazione che non è segnalata per la camera in questione. Naturalmente è intuibile la qualità dell’aria all’interno, mitigata soltanto dall’AC che tuttavia è spenta, come l’intero impianto elettrico, quando si esce rimuovendo l’unica chiave in dotazione. Dietro i cuscini del letto, sul muro, sono presenti numerose macchie di umidità e anche sui soffitti. La cosa peggiore però è stata la biancheria in dotazione, piene di macchie ovunque (suppongo di sangue, oltre ad altri liquidi di colore giallastro) presenti su lenzuola e trucco su asciugamani. Abbiamo dovuto dormire vestiti. È veramente un peccato che la struttura sia gestita in questo modo, perché la posizione è molto buona. Peraltro, l’host che ci ha accolto inizialmente ci stava dando un’altra camera (senza vista mare nemmeno dall’esterno, dato che dentro la camera non si vede nulla) di un costo inferiore rispetto a quello pagato. Malgrado tale esperienza non ci è stato offerto alcun rimborso o assistenza, non sono state cambiate le lenzuola e ci è stato risposto solo la mattina dopo (il check in il giorno prima era avvenuto alle 20 ed eravamo stati fuori per cena prima di contattarli accorgendoci della situazione). Pagare 143 euro per dormire vestiti in una camera senza finestre mi pare eccessivo. Allego foto di parte della biancheria sporca e dei corridoi da percorrere prima di arrivare alla camera senza finestre, dato che sul sito non sono segnalati.

Sadly left a very bad impression on Santorini - Nothing, the condition of the property was very poor , taped and ripped ,dirty outdoor furniture cushions and dirty stained and poor condition hot tubs, The door handles in bathrooms needed replacing and faucet was coming unglued in bathroom . Beds were hard , and outdoor gate before entering the property had a big hole which was a hazard . I questioned the condition of the property before booking, based on an unhappy traveler review , and I was assured by Irene that the condition of the furniture outdoors was not the current state of the property . We were also met and picked up late by over an hour upon arrival as well. Then they didn't have the proper room for us on arrival and we needed to transfer to a different room the next morning. Also bathroom/shower in our first room had empty shampoo bottles left in shower area, made me uncomfortable about the hygiene and cleanliness of the property. Housekeeping was late in arrival so we declined as we needed to use the shower to make our dinner reservation . They made out that we declined the service , but it was a poor service , lacked common amenities like glasses , no coffee maker , no wine cork screw , one towel for three days , had to ask for everything , then they left the same dirty glasses the next day to re-use. We were very unhappy with this hotel. We could have had much better accommodation for the price. Danae one of the hosts was nice , and tried her best to be accommodating but Irene the original contact who I questioned from past reviews on condition of property through booking.com did not own up to my complaints and her previous answer to my concerns before booking this hotel , assuring me this was not the current state of this hotel. This is a poorly managed hotel or owner, VrBo, or Airbnb? I'm not sure what this property is classified as ? This ruined our experience in Santorini and caused us a lot of time over the issues experienced at this hotel . Everything

Les chambres offrent des avantages différents car intimité et equipment différents . Suggérons : -Ajout cafetière /café / bouteille d’eau potable comme tous les autres hébergements visités en Grèce -lumières dans la cour intérieure commune demeurent allumées très tard et rideau insuffisant limitant la qualité du sommeil . -mortier en décrépitude tombe sur nous de l’étage supérieur lorsque sur le balcon -matelas limite confortable (creuse au centre ) -boîte de nuit à proximité bruyante ( mais hors de votre contrôle naturellement mais insonorisation limitée ou fournir bouchon oreille ) - support pour valise insuffisant . Suggérons de mettre un support plus long que le petit banc car valise bascule

Cerca de la estación de buses de restaurantes . La decoración. El baño estaba bonito pero las pareces y suelo muy deterioradas , el suelo de la habitación necesita mantenimiento. El mobiliario de la terraza también. La tele no funcionaba. Pero volvería otra vez. Y lo recomendaría por calidad y precio.

Kostos was always on hand if we needed anything. Kostos was very knowledgeable of the island and places to visit and eat. He was excellent. A really nice man. Nothing it was all great.

Internet speed was average to poor. Not as close to cliff view as we expected from the photos. Noisy during the day from tourists standing on path out front. Noisy at night if people in spa. Walls are not concrete as they appear, just plaster, some some noise from adjoining rooms

Все рядом. Косметика фен, полотенца все есть. Очень помогала мне Danae, с локациями. Как добраться и где лучше. Также у них еще есть трансфер в аеропорт и другие интересные места. Что номер расположен где все проходят мимо тебя и фотографируются. Никакой приватности.

• Maria (1/5): Not recommended - different than on the pictures, no privacy - The view. Although to get to the apartment is very difficult. You have to carry your suitecase over a lot of stairs. And when you open the door of your room, or better cave, you habe a lot of people standing in front of it, taking photos. The room is not as in the pictures! It has no window and feels like a cave. The air conditioner lost a lot of water and a technician had to come. Wifi was not working at all. The Owner gave us a bottle of wine to apologize, but refused to give us a refund and never really said sorry for all the inconvenience. The appartment and furniture was not clean and the pool is so small and needs to get cleaned everyday - but it is only done in the evening, so it looks bad all day.

Rooms are not as private as photos show and “suites” are small - Friendly and communicative staff member, comfy beds, good location Photos were deceiving since our room had no windows and was more like a cave room. The suite did not have a living room either. The balcony view offered no privacy as it was shared with other rooms and was right on the foot path of traffic. Hot tub was cleaned but immediately was dirty again because the wall behind/above was crumbling and it was full of dirt by morning.

Η κεραία της τηλεόρασης δεν λειτουργούσε και η επισκευή δεν είχε κανένα αποτέλεσμα!

Ενδεχομένως η τηλεόραση που έχει είναι το μοναδικό αντικείμενο που αξίζει εκεί μέσα. Έπεσα κι εγώ δυστυχώς, όπως πολλοί άλλοι άνθρωποι, θύμα της απάτης που έχουν στήσει οι ιδιοκτήτες του συγκεκριμένου καταλύματος. Ωστόσο, η διαφορά μου από την πλειονότητα των υπολοίπων θυμάτων, είναι ότι αφήνω τον οποιονδήποτε εγωισμό στην άκρη, και αποδέχομαι το γεγονός ότι πιάστηκα κορόιδο, όσο δύσκολο κι αν είναι. Σκοπός της εν λόγω κριτικής μου, είναι να σταματήσει επιτέλους η ενοικίαση της οποιασδήποτε "στάνης/τρώγλης/αποθήκης" που βαφτίζεται ως κατάλυμα (πολυτελείας) από τον καθένα προκειμένου να θησαυρίζει με τις πλάτες αθώων θυμάτων, μη διστάζοντας να διακυβεύσει ακόμη και την υγεία τους, -η μούχλα που μυρίζει το δωμάτιο έχει αρνητικές συνέπειες στον ανθρώπινο οργανισμό-, λόγω των εξαιρετικά ακατάλληλων συνθηκών διαμονής. Έχουμε λοιπόν και λέμε: Με το που μπήκα μέσα με χτύπησε μια τρομερά έντονη μυρωδιά μούχλας, η οποία δίχως υπερβολή, κάνει την ατμόσφαιρα εντελώς αποπνικτική. Η δυσωδία ήταν μόνιμα στα ρουθούνια μου, καθόλη τη διάρκεια της διαμονής μου. Η υγρασία που έχει, σε κάνει κυριολεκτικά να παγώνεις εκεί μέσα, -ελπίζω τον χειμώνα να μην το νοικιάζουν γιατί αν το καλοκαίρι ξεπάγιασα, δε θέλω να σκεφτώ τι γίνεται εκεί μέσα τον χειμώνα. Το "κατάλυμα" -αν μπορούμε να το πούμε έτσι-, είναι θεοσκότεινο, ανήλιαγο, δε μπαίνει μέσα ούτε αχτίδα φωτός, καθώς είναι τύπου "σπηλιά/cave". Μου προκαλούσε έντονο άγχος.Τα ελάχιστα έπιπλα που έχει, είναι σε κάκιστη κατάσταση και απίστευτα βρόμικα, όπως και το πάτωμα, και γεμάτο σημάδια. Το καπάκι της τουαλέτας ήταν επάνω λερωμένο με πιτσιλιές από ούρα και είδα και ένα μεγάλο, ελαφρύ κόκκινο σημάδι, που μάλλον ήταν από έμμηνο ρήση. Μέσα στο σωλήνα της τουαλέτας, υπήρχαν υπολείμματα περιττωμάτων, καθώς έχουν τη συνήθεια να πετάνε μέσα μόνο το απολυμαντικό χωρίς να τρίβουν. Όταν μου παρέδωσαν το δωμάτιο, το εξωτερικό τζακούζι που διαθέτει, ήταν μέσα σε απίστευτη βρομιά, όπως και το μαξιλάρι δίπλα του, ενώ έβγαζε επίσης μια δυσωδία, ίσως από τα χημικά που ρίχνουν.

• Massaad (1/5): Nicht zu empfehlen - Es ist stinkig wegen der hohen Luftfeuchtigkeit. Nach einer Nacht mussten wir unseren Aufenthalt in dieser Unterkunft abbrechen. Wir standen früh und alle Klamotten im Koffer waren schon nass. Für die Leute mit Atemprobleme wäre es gesundheitsschädlich

• Maria (5/5): Nice spot beautiful views andclose to restaurants but it was a tight squeeze - The spa outside was nice and the location was lovely No wifi at all ,the shower was not very clean and the way the room is designed it was really difficult to lay out our lugggage,the tap in the shower was hanging on buy a thread!!

• Lynn (9/5): Great location but “cave” type unit does not allow the view unless you are outside. - Location was perfect. In the middle of everything with easy access. Amazing view from outside sitting area. (Not inside) Owners very helpful and very attentive. Hot tub clean, room was clean. Be prepared. This is a “cave” unit. No windows other than the door where the shutter can be opened. You cannot see anything outside when in the unit. Smaller than it looks online, very little room for suitcase.

Le jacuzzi sentait très fort le chlore et semblait un peu vieux avec des jets jaunes. La douche avait de la moisissure.

• JAYA (10/5): Absolutely incredible- great communication, warm welcome, fabulous location, amazing hostess Danae! - Communication from Irene was excellent-clear, timely, and detailed instructions made our arrival and key pick-up effortless. Danae, our amazing hostess, arranged a smooth airport transfer and warmly welcomed us despite our flight being delayed. She patiently waited until 9:00 PM to greet us in person and personally guided us to our apartment. Danae went above and beyond throughout our stay, offering fantastic recommendations for trips and restaurants, which truly enhanced our experience. Everything was perfect and our stay was genuinely memorable. We wholeheartedly recommend this place-five stars all around! N/A
• Julia (6/5): Would love to go back only if issues are sorted - The location is nice and in the middle of everywhere. The place was clean and beautiful. Danae was very helpful with checking us in, leaving our luggages at a safe place when we checked out and recommending places to eat. Unfortunately though we were 5 people we had only 4 towels. The air condition of the room was constantly licking water inside. We contacted Danae and she told us what to do to fix it which we did but nothing changed. We asked for someone to come and clean and though we were told someone was coming, no one did so we had to put all our towels on the floor to collect the water. Toilet flushing button was coming off the wall, shower accessories were rusted. We didn’t have any tea,coffee or even water in the apartment.

• Solène (8/5): - Nice place with jacuzzi. Cleaning every day. Staff is nice and helpful! We’ll located, amazing view and a lot of facilities in the area. Lack of privacy, all the jacuzzi are next to each other and wall are really thin.

• Sofia Z (10/5): Cosy, spacious inside and outside, stunning views, great host. - The location was beautiful and right at the heart of Fira, in a small quiet alley next to taverns shops bars and cafes. Stunning views and good vibe, we enjoyed our hot tubs and outdoor space at our own time! Host was super polite and very helpful, gave us a list of recommendations, which were spot on. We are a family of 5 and booked two rooms. We sometimes struggle to find rooms where we can share an outdoor space with the whole family and we were definitely not expecting to have this with views over the caldera, this was just the right setting. Rooms were spacious and comfortable and had good sound proofing. While we were right in the middle of the buzz, it was quiet inside. Very positive experience! Everything was good

• Estefania (8/5): PRECIOSAS VISTAS - Ubicación y vistas inmejorables la anfitriona encantadora, nos recibió y ayudó en absolutamente todo, solo por ello ya mereció la pena este alojamiento. Levantarte una mañana allí y poder disfrutar de esas vistas, no tiene precio. Había mucha humedad y aparcar era un poco complicado.

• Peter (10/5): Loved it - Had a great stay at this property. Right at the top of caldera with breathtaking views. And our host Danae was absolutely amazing.
• April (9/5): Incredible!! - The view from the balcony of the superior suite with hot tub was second to none the biggest reason we booked to stay here. The bed was an absolute dream, probably the comfiest bed I have ever slept in. Aircon was great, quiet and the added bonus of the dehumidifier. The decor was beautiful and loved the authentic cave with a modern twist. Location is amazing, so close to everything in Fira! Finally, the host Danae - she was incredible, friendly and really hospitable. Nothing was too much trouble. You can tell she really cares about making your experience the best. Not so much a not like but we did have an issue with the above aircon unit flooding in front of our front door which unfortunately meant whilst it was being fixed meant we couldn’t use the hot tub/plunge pool. This could not be helped as it was coming from the building above us. Personally if we were here longer wouldn’t have cared at all. However, Danae got this sorted for us ASAP. Another which again isn’t the host or property’s fault, just purely the location. Inconsiderate tourists blocking the view and taking photos literally on your balcony. When you have paid to enjoy it privately in the comfort of your own place.
