• Wesley (10/5): - Our time at Marmelkroken was most memorable. Lisbeth is a wonderful host and an advocate for the awe-inspiring nature the property is situated in. We even saw moose a short walk away. The breakfast was also thoughtfully prepared. We were treated to local produce (some from the Marmelkroken garden) which we loved. Marmelkroken is truly a priceless refuge — for humans and wildlife alike. We can’t wait to return to Marmelkroken to see it in its different shades and seasons.

• C. (7/5): Prima lokatie om van daaruit een rondje Annoya te doen. - Ontbijt was afgepaste hoeveelheid maar je kon gerust bij vragen, dat was geen enkel probleem. Lokale producten waren heel lekker Wat we misten was yoghurt en vers fruit. Personeel was heel vriendelijk! Een theedoek om in je appartement iets af te drogen was wel handig geweest en een vaat doekje voor in de keuken We hebben twee keer in het restaurant diner gebruikt. Wat meer keuze in de gerechten plus mogelijk iets vegetarisch zou heel welkom zijn.

• Renate (4/5): Die Lage des Hotels an sich sehr schön, wenn man Seaview frontseitig hat. - Abendessen und auch Frühstück waren sehr in Ordnung. Daß es zum Frühstück kein Joghourt gab und der Kaffee (leider keine Espressomaschine) aus der Kanne kam, trüben etwas den positiven Eindruck. Die sogenannte Superior-Suite (das "RAPA"-Zimmer) hat zwar den versprochenen Sea-View, aber nur, wenn man sich in eine seitliche Position zum Fenster setzt. Der Schlafraum gerade ausreichend für das Doppelbett, das Zubettgehen nur über eine Seite (fußseitig!) möglich. Das "ANDA"-Appartement (wir mußten für die zweite Nacht umziehen), war schlicht und einfach eine Zumutung. Abgewohnte Möblierung, kein Sichtschutz zu Parkplatz und Straße, teilweise kaputte Lampen, einfach mies.

• Sally (9/5): Interesting location and good views, restaurant on site. - Service was very prompt and friendly. Location was interesting and a good view of the marshes and birds and sea beyond. Room was neat and clean and had two comfy chairs. The restaurant was nearby and had views too. Food was interesting, and they use local ingredients. Location is not far from Bleik - and in season the boat trip out to see the puffins, with Puffin Safari - is a must - very interesting and fun trip on a nice old boat, and good guide!. The verandah that led to other rooms was in front of the room and window, so people walking to their rooms went past, compromising privacy unless you shut the venetian blinds which then interfered with the view - a room at the end (furthest from the restaurant would therefore be best for privacy.. Restaurant was a bit on the expensive side, but good quality. Some milk and sugar in the room would be good for making hot drinks - we were able to get some from the restaurant to take to the room.

• Chris (10/5): A Different and Tranquil Experience - A very peaceful and tranquil place providing a different experience on our bicycle journey through Norway. The location of the cabin in front of our room did interfere with some of our view of the ocean.

Liked the long cushion bench beneath the window where we could just sit back, relax and enjoy a glass of wine and the beautiful scenery and sun. Idyllic. We liked everything, it’s a hytte so of course not all facilities are there (for example oven), but it’s an amazing stay.

• Christoph (9/5): Very enjoyable. - We booked the ´hytta´, a small house besides the lodge. Super location. Stunning terrace view. Very good starting point to explore Andoya. Excellent breakfast and diner. Dare a hike to Aurtjonna lake up the valley just opposite the lodge on a late summer evening (see pictures). Simply great. The House has a kitchen so self catering is possible. The kitchen could be a bit better equipped, including dish towel or sponges etc. But im sure if you ask it will be provided. People are super nice! The upper dormitory only has piled mattresses as beds. That my be uncomfortable for some people.

• Mary (5/5): Remote, peaceful location with stellar restaurant. Not fancy but clean. - The restaurant was absolutely wonderful. The end unit Braken has shower that is for disabled people. The entire floor floods when the shower is turned on. There are no toiletries, no coffee or tea, and the”sea view” is blocked by a recently built cabin.
• Vesa (10/5): Exceptional - Trough the website we could only select two adults, and when we arrived they well handled the situatuion that we had 12years old and 1 y old whit us and quicly set up extra bed and baby grip for us.

• Komide (9/5): Like a home on vacation! - What a gem we found! Due to booking our stays a bit short notice, we couldn't get all the places we had planned, and Marmelkroken was a sort of backup option. Little did we know. We had issues arriving on time due to delays in the whale safari in Andenes, but a quick phone call sorted it all out and our room key was waiting for us despite late arrival. The rooms are much nicer in person than they are in the pictures and breakfast was so lovingly prepared by extremely friendly staff. Watching the (not quite) midnight sun from the bird watching pavilion after a long day was just the crown on an amazing stay. To be honest, we expected worse from the pictures, somehow they don't do justice to how nice the rooms are. Much more light than we got the impression. Be aware that there is active farming around and you can tell from the small, but nothing of the sort is noticeable in the rooms.

• Markus (8/5): A prefect place to stop by for the “night” on our cross-country road trip. - The location was very good with a beautiful view over the open sea. The staff was very friendly and the fish of the day that was served by the in-house restaurant was special and extremely well prepared. The breakfast was good too – simple but thoughtful and with local specialties. The rooms are basic and old-school, but very clean nevertheless.
