Guest Reviews
- Gregory (10/5): - I didn’t like the breakfast is not made fresh it was frozen so we will not eat breakfast there again
- ROGER (7/5): -
- Placido (1/5): Horrible stay - Nothing it was loud at night could not sleep, the indoor hot tub was held up by the the same family for over 5 hours. My family told me they will not come back to split rock ever again. Loud at night could not get any sleep and the pool area was just dirty and over staffed with people.
- Irina (10/5): Mejorar desayuno y arreglar unos cosas en habitaciones - Todo Naturaleza
- Mariela (10/5): -
- Laquonah (10/5): -
- jeree (8/5): -
- Alisa (1/5): Horrible experience!! - Horrible experience My Grandson incurred an injury on Split Rock Resort property. As a result, I received a $200 bill from EMS services (contacted by Split Rock), and an empty promise made by Kelly Roschbach for an opportunity to "do it right".
- Edward (5/5): ok. nice hot tub, comfy room - room, general area, we had a lot of trobloue getting in our room, keys kept disconnecting
- Simonson (10/5): -
- Aziza (1/5): - Nothing ..we didn't stay ..they couldn't accommodate my handicap husband
- Jody (4/5): I would stay again if they fix the water. - The room was excellent, clean and comfortable. The hotel was very inviting. The water was brown. There a lot of conventions going on.
- Kiran (1/5): -
- Carol (7/5): Great family place, just a bit tired. - Super amenities all under one roof - restaurant, bar, great pool, theater, etc. Although the room configuration (we had 2 bedroom 2 bath) was great for the family, the room and decor were well used and in need of updating.
- Charles (3/5): -
- Patricia (5/5): -
- Kimeisha (10/5): Relaxing stay. With fun activities at resort. - Property was clean.
Staff courtesy and helpfulness. Breakfast options or it had finish and waited before next batch.
- Ashley (9/5): -
- Somia (1/5): A Completely Disappointing Experience - This is not the first time we have reserved this place, but it will definitely be the last. One of the main reasons we booked was for the indoor water park, but it was closed, only open on weekends and it didn’t say that on website which was extremely disappointing.
The property also has a kitchen, but there was no cookware available. We arrived late, around 8:55 p.m., with all of our groceries, expecting to cook, especially since during our previous stay the kitchen had everything we needed. When we asked about the missing cookware, we were told that it is no longer provided except for shared members. Apparently, this is a new rule, but no one informed us in advance. If we had known, we would have brought our own cookware.
Because of this, we were left trying to find dinner late at night, and most places were closing by 9 p.m. We ended up going to bed without eating anything. The next day, I had to spend over $150 on cookware that I should not have needed to buy.
Also we did not even get the apartment shown in the pictures. The unit we received did not match what was advertised, and the Internet is very slow I’m not connected to the TV .
which made the experience even more frustrating.
Overall, this experience was frustrating, inconvenient, and very disappointing. The staff situation was also disappointing there was only one employee managing both the arcade and the bowling area. He was doing his best to keep things running, but he was clearly overworked and exhausted.

- Dallas (1/5): - Quiet, Not many people. Dirty Rooms, TV did not work and no one came to help, no toilet paper, looks abandoned. garbage all over the place outside.
- Oloughljn (1/5): - Location that is it In the matter of a four days stay, we moved three times. The room smelled really bad. There was broken things in the room. There was very rude staff we got kicked out of breakfast. We had to move our room at 1:30 in the morning. Our fridge door would not close things were broken in the resort that need to be replaced. It was a horrible stay
- Leizl (7/5): - I like the place, nice spacious clean room, staff were nice. The only thing that I dislike is missing the toiletries stuff and the kitchen garbage bag.
- Latisha (5/5): Wouldn’t stay here again - The location of all the all the activities was perfect as it was on site at the hotel and the staff was very friendly. Housekeeping services were HORRIBLE. Limited towels and toilet paper. Called and requested more and they never came to replenish it, even though they said they were on their way, they never came. When I asked the front desk they said they ran out. The overall concept of the place was nice but it’s definitely in need of some upgrades.
- Emmanuel (10/5): -
- Josephine (1/5): - The only accessional part was the staff When I did the booking on booking.com, it did not state that the facility was not fully equipped in the kitchen and the staff did nothing to help in that part thought the stay was gonna be at the main hotel, they put us somewhere else, and we had to travel back-and-forth to do any of the activities and the pool was a horrible stay. No.
- Isotides (8/5): -
- Benkabbou (10/5): Great experience I will recommend - All was great Spacious has privacy. Big new and clean
- YEVHEN (10/5): -
- K (5/5): - My Son had fun
Staff are amazing Omggggg
The place looks haunted ghetto
Please someone donate update but however prices r really cheap .
- Shamiah (4/5): Disappointed - The amusement park was decent for the kids activities. The water park was partially closed the (jungle gym part) tvs and Wi-Fi did not work, we had a two bedroom suite with 3 tvs only one worked because maintenance brought a new one upstairs and connected it. Front Desk Staff wasn’t welcoming, almost as if they were doing you a favor for a room you’ve purchased. Not many food options on site.
Water park had many roaches near where the seats were to eat. The kitchen seemed clean. The highlight was the actual water park staff including a he water park food service staff. They were hospitable and took their jobs seriously. They had no problems explaining how things worked and ushering us to have a great time.
Parking lots and grounds could use attention as well as the main level restrooms.
This place has so much potential if it was properly maintained and exterminated. It is definitely passed its days of glory.
- anderson (6/5): - Wifi did not work on tvs so couldn't watch tv all weekend, the temperature was 84 degrees and couldn't turn the heat off so they had to bring in two box fans
- Tiffany (9/5): -
- Michael (6/5): Cheap - Location was good. Rooms were ok for the price. Hallways stink of marijuana every morning. Very little enforcement of drug an alcohol policies. The property is in disrepair. A ton of aesthetic maintenance is needed. Everything felt dated. Floors sag simply due to walking, stains in shower, doors rub the floor, mattress felt ten years old.
- Susan (5/5): -
- Sharon (5/5): It was decent I felt like we had better stays - The front desk people were nice They removed the pots and pans the kitchens came with
The water park was closed the days we were there so we had to travel to khalahari to go to a Waterpark
The food was expensive and not just expensive the pizza was nasty for 23$ I expected a better quality pizza not flat and no flavor
Some molding on the corners of the showers
The sofa bed is hard to sleep on
- Laura (6/5): - No water in the shower and the restaurant is closed
- Elizabeth (3/5): a funny story to tell my kids - nice location 30 mins away from everything -no AC (i had to open my windows for air)
-tvs didn’t work or were slow
-pools were dirty/ hot tub broken
-SO CROWDED
-walls are paper thin
-hot water ran out quickly
-water park was for 10 and below
- williams (5/5): - The rooms were outdated, food was not good
- Alarcon (6/5): - No tenia aire acondicionado y estaba muy caliente la habitacion
- Stephanie (5/5): -
- kamau (10/5): -
- Jose (9/5): -
- Keyahra (1/5): - Save your money. After waiting 3 hours to check in and get our room, we get our key and our room was filthy. Beds not made, table and sink dirty etc. in a cliff notes version we stayed two nights. Checked out on a Sunday. Our room was freezing cold that our windows were forming ice from the inside. This was the weekend when it was -4 outside. With two littles it was quite concerning. Denied giving us another room but offered a space heater. Waited several hours for space heater which was fine we had to find things to do outside the room bc of the temp. We get back the heater is finally there but broken. We take it down immediately and they said they’ll bring another. Never did. Every time you call here either no one answers or someone does says they’ll transfer you then hangs up. We had no clean towels or rags had to request them, never came. The TVs also did not work. We never got our $100 room deposit back still to this day. After weeks of emailing calling they felt only a $80 refund was warranted. The place is falling apart which is sad because it could have a lot of potential. The basketball/gym is freezing bc the doors don’t close properly the ceiling is open and leaking to where a garbage can is collecting the water. Same with the pool room.
The one lady on the morning shift gave us tickets to the indoor water park after I complained for the 4th time. We did end up
Over there and immediately walked back.
It was also freezing dark and dingy. The workers were wearing long thick winter coats!
- Ana (10/5): -
- Anthony (7/5): this is my 4th time here - the amount of things to do. rooms need to be updated.
some of the guests were rowdy and disturbing.
- Tyra (1/5): It’s was a bad stay.. no hot water in both bathrooms - The space of the room. A lot of space for the kids. The hotel is giving motel 6 vibes, it is very outdated. The hot water did not work, they did not give us wash rags or towels. We had a dishwasher in our room so i called down for dish soap for the dishwasher. Instead of telling that it’s only for timeshare holders. They kept saying that they were gonna bring up to the room. Hours of waiting i went to the front desk and they told me this information. Water park is not included in the stay but it’s $25 per kid. It’s a waste of money not really a water park. The kids stayed in the pool… movie theater tiles was dropping while the kids was watching a movie…
- Robin (1/5): - Pool No manager on premises to fix all the issues
- Travis (6/5): Not the best but not the worse - Bed was comfy and location was very nice. I like the terrace to walk out on. The rooms were nice and private We paid extra for a jacuzzi room. The Jacuzzi didn't work and they didnt have anyone to come look at it cause it was late. Said they were going to change our rooms and they never did but It was so late I didnt really worry. None of the TVs would work to watch anything. You get what you pay for, you can see what Kalahari or Great wolf lodge the price difference for a place thats up and running with no issues.
- Hampton (1/5): Worst Valentine's Ever.... - I liked the activities I did with my friend. The room we stayed in had NO HEAT. We had to ask twice about the heat. When someone came to check on it, we were provided with two space heaters. To keep a One Bedroom suite heated/ warm. We had dinner at the Fusion Bistro for their Valentine's Day Special. We where asked to come back and when we did our experience was horrible. My food came out cold and burnt. I sent it back and got the same results. Our first course was given to the table behind us. By the time we got the first course the dessert course came out at the same time. My manager blamed it on being short staffed. When you know that you are having a Special Event going on. You should have enough staff to cover the services. Not ask your guest to come back and then provide poor service. The manager Pablo needs to be retrained on how to handle busy services. The picture below is how my plate came out to me. No food was eaten off this plate. My friend's plate was the only food I can say was good. This was my fourth time staying here and this was the worst experience I have ever had.
- Sheila (8/5): -
- Sheila (10/5): -
- Jessica (1/5): - I liked the area It was dirty and e had to ask for cleaning products to cleanour jacuzzi and the jacuzzi didnt even work that was the whole point of the room we got
- Jessica (3/5): -
- Caitlin (8/5): -
- Gary (5/5): Tears were shed, ridiculous check-in 45 min, rooms not ready and dirty when ready, useless staff - Bowling and the arcade Check-in took 45 minutes (this was an everyday occurrence), rooms were dirty and not ready upon check-in time of 4pm (unacceptable), staff were useless, the only elevator broke daily (although staff did not fix it or tell anyone it was broken so people stood waiting for nothing), no customers appeared happy with the place
- Brianna (5/5): short weekend. - I liked that there was a lot to do at the hotel. also, the location is near the outlets and the country junction. The room we stayed in was on the other end of the building. The breakfast at the cafe was super expensive and not that great.
- Shawn D. (6/5): - The whole facility needs an upgrade.
- Cassandra (4/5): -
- Joan (4/5): just ok - the view and the bed. NO dishes, cups ,etc. couldn't work the shower....
- kevin (5/5): -
- John (4/5): Will not return, will find another place to stay - the room was ok We didn't eat at the resort, it looked like the cafeteria style type food. so we had to spend alot of money on food at the local restaurants. The room we paid for was a kitchenette, the room had no kitchen stuff in it at all. Even the coffee maker didn't have a pot to brew in. When I asked about why these things where not in the room, I found out they are renting out time share room and they take everything out of the room. They really need to upgrade there checking in system' it took of an hour to check in. The main building ac system was not working at and our room was about 1/2 mile away for the main building so it was a big inconvenience if we need anything.
- Daniel (4/5): If I was to ever go to the Poconos again…..I’d probably looking for a different place to stay - The scenery of the Poconos was very nice Air Conditioning wasn’t working in Sports Complex where dance competition was being held. Rooms were outdated. Toilet kept backing up in my room….I informed the front desk and the best they could do was send me a plunger.
- Lawrence (1/5): Terrible - Nothing really I paid extra for a room with a kitchen. The microwave did not work. The TV had no remote. The phone in the room did not work. The curtains did not close all the way. Oh and I couldn't check into my room until 5pm because I was waiting for it to be "cleaned"
- Levar (7/5): It was a known 2.5 to 3 star hotel stay so my expectations were met. - Location in the poconos was nice! The property is definitely a 2.5-3 star and appropriately priced for this (has potential for higher if owners would keep up with renovations). Check in was easy and smooth, front desk staff were friendly. The jacuzzi in the room is nicely kept with good water pressure. I did not like that there's no ramp for strollers or wheelchairs to get from the parking lot to the check in entrance. This resort is geared towards family and its baffling to see 20 stairs and no ramp in site. Not to mention the staff were outside the front entrance smoking cigarettes (as families headed in to front desk). The pool area did not have towels, no one replaced towels even after manager was made aware. Buildings are definitely clean but did smell. Lawn chair outside my room was broken. Breakfast was decent and definitely not worth $15.
- Nubia (5/5): Mas o menos - Cuando recibi mi habitacion estaba sucia y cosas tiradas en el piso. Me toco bajar para que me dieran otra. Nada que ver con lo que habia reservado.
- Rybak (7/5): -
- George (8/5): Nice romantic weekend with my fiancée. - Location, the room was nice big The coffee maker didn’t work. Leaked water and coffee down the counter. Which I had to clean
- Tatiana (10/5): -
- Charlene (2/5): Terrible experience - Indoor pool Paid for activities separately
Indoor water park only opened on weekends
Staff didn't have knowledge about snow mobiling in area.
The elevator broke
Food was horrible
Staff not so friendly
- AyalaVargas (1/5): They need to do better and need a remodel - Need a remodel Need a remodel
- Castaneda (2/5): dirty, bad and cold - We stayed at Split Rock Resort during our recent New Year vacation, and unfortunately this year’s experience was extremely disappointing.
We have been coming to this resort for three consecutive years, every summer and winter, and I can honestly say this has been the worst stay we’ve ever had. The property looked dirty and poorly maintained. The movie theater chairs were broken, most attractions in the water park were not working, and the pool floor had visible cracks, which was concerning.
Our room was very cold, and the heater did not work at all. We asked for help several times, but no one was able to fix the issue or provide a solution. Every time we asked staff members, we were met with confusion and no follow-up.
Additionally, the staff seemed very disorganized and uninformed. No one knew schedules, where food was available, or basic resort information. This was very strange and frustrating for a place we used to trust and enjoy.
We are leaving sad and disappointed, with no desire to return, which is unfortunate because my family and I have been loyal guests for years. This resort has clearly gone downhill, and unless major changes are made, we would not recommend it.
- Blake (6/5): Everything was fine, except for the dog barking next-door for two days straight - Kelly at the front desk who is very good to us. They just need more staff for check-in. We had a dog next-door to our room that would never stop barking. You could not walk you could not go in the kitchen. You could not do anything without this dog barking. It was out of control and when we did say something to the young lady, she said we are making too much noise Which was a lie with four grown adults and we were just cooking and eating and hanging out but other than that, it was fine.
- Reyes (7/5): -
- Marina (4/5): - I liked everything about the property, just didn’t like that the whole building was struggling to produce heat. I room was 64° and under the entire stay, we had to ask for extra blankets, I had to layer my 2 year old for bedtime.
- Amber (8/5): Fun would come back - Clean and convenient we do not have to leave for anything Check in took about an hour. The line was long.
- Joseph (1/5): -
- Laura (5/5): Rooms were nice, but they were extremely hot and uncomfortable and the check out lady was awful. - My children really enjoyed the amenities like the pool and the basketball court. That our room was 78 degrees when we checked in. When I went to front desk they told me they would send someone up. By 10pm it was 95 degrees in the room and the air did not work. Again they were supposed to send someone up and no one never came. At 3am we woke up to it being 89 degrees. It was very hot and uncomfortable. When checking out and trying to express my concerns as were other people the lady behind the desk was on her cell phone the entire time just telling us to put the keys on the counter. We wanted to express our concerns but she didn't want to hear them.
- Patricia (8/5): - Check in slow
- Gary (9/5): Comfortable stay - I like the food I like the room the amenities and activities I didn't like that pots and pans and plates were not included unless you were a timeshareholder
- Scott (5/5): Its like great wolf or kalahari on a smaller scale, without the crowds - It was roomy, beds were comfy. It was like great wolf lodge or kalahari for half the price The phone in our room didn’t work, we couldn’t call the front desk, had to walk down for anything we needed, we found items in our room that other people left behind. We traveled w 5 kids, they all loved it.
- Iovanna (3/5): -
- Sabrina (3/5): Not very happy with our stay. - Close to other activities in the area. The hotel rooms are outdated, needs an upgrade badly.
Some of the arcade games were broken. The loud noise that the heater made in the room. The elevator was not working for two days. The food was not good. The water park area only half the activities was available to use.
- Nye1988 (3/5): - Beds were comfortable. Rooms were clean Elevator was broken and my room was on the top floor so i had to take the stairs. The refrigerator in my room was broken. My rooms had no windows. The Waterpark opened at 4pm which is crazy. The restaurants were closed...$276/day was not worth it. I left a day early and got a refund because these were not my expectations of the facility.
- Price (8/5): It was fun and a lot of attraction for things to do!!!! - Yes I liked the property Nothing
- Robert (5/5): Needs a major overhaul for the facilities. Staff were helpful and did everything possible to make our stay enjoyable! - It was clean but out dated, I used to work and live the Pocono Mountains. I worked back in the day at Hershey Pocono Resort, Split Rock Resort was back then top shelf resort. It’s located in a beautiful area. No working elevators, we had the Brunch food was sub par for the price.
- Nancy (10/5): Nice big and clean.i wish 4-5-6floors have more room service people - Nice and clean None
- Muñoz (3/5): -
