- Marieke (6/5): Zonder toegangscode en zonder lift. Alles met moeite zelf geregeld. - Centraal gelegen, mooi ruim appartement. Maar er is geen personeel aanwezig. Er was GEEN LIFT. Dus mijn 20 kilo koffer moest ik zelf de stijle trap optillen en 3 dagen later weer naar beneden. Heel vervelend en niet vooraf bekend. Dat er geen receptie was en geen lift. Ik had kennelijk toegangscode moeten krijgen voor de voordeur en van de kamer. En die had ik niet. Ook een ander stel met hetzelfde probleem. Kostte veel tijd en irritatie om het op orde te krijgen. En ontbreken van lift en zelf je 20 kilo koffer een stijle trap op tillen was onverwacht. Ik had niet geboekt als ik dit geweten had. Schandalig. Bellen kan ook niet. Alleen appen

- Langdon (9/5): - The place was well keep at the surface level, as we settled and started to get familiar with the unit, we found that the ,control in one of the bath, for the water stopper was broken, the ceiling in that same bath had some detective and unsighted curling, the skylight in that same bath ,needed cleaning , there was some hard water build up behind forceuts in that same bathroom, kettle need to be cleaned or replaced and parking space was abit challenging to navigate (if you're driving). Parking and heating of the living / dinning room was limited to 22 degrees and couldn't be adjusted higher.

- Mary (9/5): Perfect place for our night in Montreal. - This place is great! Easy to book. Great value. Wonderful location. Plenty of room in the unit. Good for our family. So nice to have a kitchen and laundry facilities, even though we didn't use either. We'd definitely stay here again. I'm glad I drive a small car, as the parking soace was very tiny. Would have been nice to know that it would be small, in case we had a larger vehicle.
- Jeanne (4/5): Montreal-fabulous. The SFX Montreal - not great. I'm owed a credit. - The best I can say is that this hotel is conveniently located. Touring Old Montreal, the Old Port and Downtown was delightful. The people were very pleasant, courteous and friendly. The Place des Art (and Raffi), Aura at the Notre-Dame Basilica and the Montreal Museum of Science were great experiences. Children love the Museum of Science. As for restaurants, Bellucci Italia (downtown), Venice (just next door to the hotel) as well as Creperie des Suzette, 3 Brasseurs and Tommy Cafe (on Rue Saint-Paul O & E) had great food and excellent friendly service. Rue Saint-Paul is nice for walking and shopping especially for souvenirs. Had it not been for a bad experience with the management, I would have rated this hotel as ok to good (not excellent) for the price. However, upon entering our unit (2 bedroom), we were hit with a strong odor of cannabis indicating that someone was smoking there for days. We immediately requested a new unit but was denied for the evening and promised one for the next day. There were units available on Booking.com for the next day. In the morning the cleaning staff told us to check out and move our belongings. Fortunately family rented the unit next door. Later the management communicated that they could not give us another unit because they were booked. The cleaners used very strong chemicals which mixed with the bad odor. The soft furnishings still smelled terrible but management denied this. One member of our party could not use their room (no windows) due to the odor and slept for four nights on an uncomfortable sofa with little privacy. After being lied to, inconvenienced and made uncomfortable, I requested a partial credit but was denied. Management's treatment of us was patronizing and sub par for excellence in hospitality. Would not go there again. Our communications were through the texting feature on Booking.com - see photos.

- GZ (10/5): Highly recommended for a large group that want to spend time exploring old Montreal - Amazing location, heart of old town, 1 block away from Notre-Dame Basilica of Montreal. 2 Bedroom unit is spacious, high ceiling. Free parking is a great bonus. The entire package is well worth the price Ceiling of the bathroom need some maintenance, but it does not impact our stay.

- Marianne (1/5): Une expérience stressante, inadmissible, loin des standards attendus , un vrai cauchemar. - Quitter !!!! ATTENTION NE RÉSERVER SURTOUT PAS – ENDROIT À ÉVITER!!!! Je n’ai pas l’habitude de me plaindre, mais notre expérience dans cet établissement dépasse de loin les limites de ce qui est acceptable… J’ai réservé pour moi et mes employés dans le cadre d’un congrès. Dès notre arrivée, les surfaces étaient sales, aucun produit de ménage n’était à notre disposition : aucun essuie-tout, aucune guenille. J’avais prévu de faire un repas sur place puisque le loft offre une cuisine, aucune plaque à cuisson, manque de matériel. J’avais réservé pour 5 personnes, mais seulement 4 chaises étaient disponibles, et il n’y avait même pas assez de fourchettes pour tout le monde… Impossible de faire du café : la machine était brisée et se déversait partout (rien pour nettoyer, sauf les serviettes de douche). La toilette du premier étage était brisée. La connexion de la télévision coupait aux 10 minutes. La moitié des lumières au plafond ne fonctionnait pas. Le pire de notre séjour est arrivé plus tard… Dormir à cet endroit a été un vrai cauchemar. Il y avait un énorme party d’environ 20 à 30 personnes juste en face de notre chambre : la porte était grande ouverte, les gens étaient lourdement intoxiqués et circulaient en hurlant dans les couloirs. La sécurité a finalement réussi à les expulser. Ces personnes ont ensuite cru que nous avions porté plainte (ce n’était même pas nous) et se sont mises à nous regarder de travers et un a même mimé des gestes violents. Une de mes employées a préféré partir, elle avait trop peur. Nous sommes allées la reconduire à sa voiture parce qu’il y avait un attroupement à l’entrée du bâtiment et des gens nous criaient : « sale pétasse blanche ». Jamais je ne me suis sentie aussi peu en sécurité que dans cet endroit… Nous n’avons pas dormi de la nuit, d’abord par peur que quelqu’un entre à tout moment, mais aussi à cause d’un bruit sourd constant qui faisait trembler les murs, au point que les cadres accrochés faisaient du bruit.

- Jessica (10/5): Quick visit but perfect for a family of 5 to visit Montreal. - Great location to visit old Montreal and way more spacious for a family than a hotel room. The included parking was also a great perk.
- Ivannia (7/5): Pequeños detalles grandes diferencias - El lugar es amplio en una ubicación fantástica a 2 bloques de la iglesia de notre dame rodeado por restaurantes Muy bien equipado perfecto para familias a grupos Cuando me escribieron no mencionaron nada de formulario para ingresar el hotel no tiene el mismo nombre que tiene en booking , nadie sabía dónde estaba no es un hotel es airb&b no hay recepción ni a quién preguntar nada estuvimos 2 horas tratando de llenar un formulario que no cargaba sin nadie que nos ayudara finalmente contestaron el teléfono y logramos hacer todo el papeleo que me pudieron avisar que había que llenarlo y habíamos estado conversando , a un final después del frío y él pésimo rato porque no había letrero ni cartel ni nadie sabía que ahí había un hotel , nos mandaron a perdernos para ir al parqueo que bastaba con decir que estaba detrás del hotel. Comfortable space, the beds were comfortable but could have used more pillows. The bathroom ceiling looked like it was falling apart although it didn’t affect our stay.
- FREDERIC (9/5): A découvrir ! - Seul hôtel ouvert l'hiver à St Siméon : très appréciable comme halte hivernale sur la route de Tadoussac. L'échange avec son propriétaire a été délicieux. Et rien que pour cette rencontre , l’hôtel en vaut le coup ! Vue magnifique sur le St Laurent. Conditions conformes aux attentes .

Fun reconversion of an older granite building into unique studio apartments with full kitchen and bathroom If you are in need of an elevator, this is not your place. Also the warm water boiler has limited amount of hot water and the tub had no plug available

- Sophie (3/5): À moins de travaux prochainement, passez votre tour. - La localisation et le stationnement L’état de décrépitude des lieux. Le plafond tombe dans la salle de bain, il y avait une seule fourchette pour 4 personnes, beaucoup d’équipement non fonctionnels (tv dans une des chambres, laveuse/sécheuse -et depuis un moment-, bouilloire, chaudron et poellone inutilisables) ou non présents (linges pour la cuisine, débarbouillettes, tissus -mouchoirs et essuie-tout). La propreté n’est pas au standards (coussins souillés, peinture des murs arrachée, plâtre sur les murs et le planchers, moisissures dans la douche), cor de rond arrachés, mobiliers avec parties manquantes, planchers grafignés ++, robinet qui fuit, toilette qui ne flush pas bien, tablettes dans les armoires toutes tombées). Pas de rideaux opaques dans une des chambres si bien qu’avec la luminosité de Montréal, c’est très clair en pleine nuit. (Voir photo) Et le lit est trop bas. Ok pour des enfants, mais difficile pour des adultes… C’est bien dommage car le bâtiment est beau, l’emplacement est génial. Beau produit qu’on a oublié de maintenir. À moins de travaux prochainement, passez votre tour.

- Maribel (5/5): Nice place but a bit uncomfortable - The location is superb, can’t beat it. It’s in the heart of Old Montreal. Also loved the big windows. I did not like the lack of cleanliness. From the moment I stepped in I noticed it had not been swept. In the bathroom there were dirty towels on the floor, disgusting boogers on the shower wall. Crust in the kitchen counter. Super dusty under the bed that would make us sneeze.

- Danielle (9/5): Très satisfaite! Adresse à retenir. - Grand appartement bien équipé, bien situé et très confortable, propre et beau cachet en plein cœur du Vieux-Montreal. Parfait pour séjour en famille. Bruit provenant de la rue… opération déneigement ?
- ELODIE (5/5): Bonne localisation mais pas adapté pour 6 - La localisation de l'appartement est parfaite, il y a même de quoi se garer à proximité. L'accès avec le digicode est très pratique et nous avons pu laisser nos affaires à la réception avant notre départ. Bel appartement dans l'ensemble. Nous étions 6 et il manquait plusieurs accessoires (serviettes, couvertes, tasses, couettes). De plus le canape qui sert de 3ème lit ne convient absolument pas pour 2 adultes. Et l'appartement n'est pas bien isolé, un courant d'air vient des fenêtres et un tapis à l'entrée pour l'hiver ne serait de refus ce qui éviterait de mettre de l'eau sur le parquet.

- Florent (4/5): Expérience bizarre - Emplacement Confort de la literie. Un studio pour 4 personnes avec un canapé de 1,60m de long. Mon fils ne pouvait s’allonger. Et gros problème de sécurité. Mon fils s’est retrouvé face à forcené qui avait forcé l’entrée de l’hôtel et s’était enfermé dans l’hôtel avec les clients. Mon fils a dû prendre le risique d’ouvrir la porte pleine de chaîne pour que la police puisse intervenir en faisant usage d’un tazer sur le forcené pour l’interpeler

- Rob (6/5): - Locatie Parkeren is inbegrepen, maar op een hele kleine plek waar je met een SUV bijna niet kunt parkeren. Je moet dan om de hoek voor 45 dollar per nacht parkeren. Als je dit meld krijg je bericht dat je overal kunt parkeren op de 'privé plaats. Maar in eerste instantie krijg je een nummer toegewezen. En dat nummer was helemaal niet bereikbaar, er lag een sneeuwberg van bijna 2 meter. Dit is niet goed gecommuniceerd. Nu dus extra kosten. Als je zelf wil koken is er maar zeer beperkte keukengerei.Erg jammer omdat het verder een fijne locatie is. Het is wel op de 3de verdieping en er is geen lift.

We felt like we were in a safe area. Apartment was cute and enough room for the 5 adults. A 20ish minute walk to the Bell Center. 1 of the 2 bedrooms had no window and there was a door to the shared hallway with the other units. One bedroom door and the upstairs bathroom door didn’t latch…awkward when staying with your adult children. Shelf in fridge was dirty and there were hairs on the sheets in the bedroom with no windows and dead bugs in the window of the other bedroom. Pullout wasn’t comfortable for sleeping and we had to get a blowup mattress. The thermostat was upstairs and the upstairs was warm and the downstairs was cold. Lots of cold air coming from around the window in the kitchen

- sugania (2/5): Disappointing - Only the location Both bathrooms could not be used as was in a very poor condition. The ceiling in the one bathroom was peeling and dripping onto the floor. The shower curtain was dirty. The shower in the other bathroom had mould all over and the shower floor drain was damaged. I did not end up staying the 2 nights I booked for as was very uncomfortable and could not shower. The photos advertised was not the same condition as the apartment. There was no mention that there were 2 flights of stairs and no lift that I had to take my heavy luggage up. I asked Bakan to refund me as I left 1 day earlier as I could not manage in the apartment but they refused.

The apartment’s exposed stone walls and beautiful paintings added so much historic charm. It was exceptionally clean and fully equipped for our family's needs. The location is unbeatable, just steps from the best of the Old Port. The management team was incredible. They were super helpful and responsive every time I contacted them, making our stay seamless.

- Reinhold (8/5): - Die Lage des Appartements war optimal, an sich gut ausgestattet. Die Waschmaschine war defekt, Wasser wurde nicht abgepumpt, der Trockner funktionierte dann auch nicht. Reisen mit nasser Wäsche ist nicht so toll. Eine Prüfung durch die Hausdame hätte das verhindern können. Leider hat sie uns das trocknen mit dem Hauskeeping Trockner auch nicht ermöglicht.
