Guest Reviews
- Andrew (9/5): Great location for a comfortable stay in a beautiful part of England. - Location off the main road between Penrith and Carlisle. Good access to shops, attractions and restaurants. Perfect for exploring North and West Lakes. We went to Whitehaven, St Bees (lovely) Bassinthwaite Lake, Lowther Castle plus many other places. Nice safe enclosed garden for the dog. £25 per dog). Some stains on carpets but only a minor issue.
Take kitchen cleaner.
Otherwise very well equipped.
- Sarah (10/5): Peaceful, restful and comfortable. - Well equipped cottage, location in short driving distance to emenities and local attractions. Very good value for money. Garden was a little unkempt which didn't bother us but it would be nice for guests in the summer to have a nice outdoor space to relax enjoy.
- I.reland (8/5): High Hesket Sandstone Cottage - The property has a well equipped kitchen with microwave oven, plus an electric oven, dishwasher and washing machine. WiFi. Comfortable beds. Nice rainfall shower. Located in a quiet rural area. Despite this being a return visit, initially, I struggled to locate the property. The best advice I can give is to search for the bus stop after turning off the A6. The property is fairly easy to spot in the daylight hours.
- Sarah (10/5): Cozy, great location. Amazing host - Great communication from the host. Excellent location, nice and cozy. House was immaculate.
- Thomas (7/5): Tidy, well-priced, good host, overall positive. - I liked the privacy, and the history of the cottage. I found the host to be very helpful and communicative. There wasn't anything major to dislike. There were one or two things that perhaps could be different next time, for example, the conservatory light didn't seem to work, and there were a few noticeable cobwebs on our bedroom ceiling. Again, these were not a big deal for us and wouldn't stop us staying again.
- Tok (8/5): Relaxing stay. - Quiet location, warm, functional, parking. All OK.
- Shawn (10/5): Amazing stay and love the fire and putting wood in - Cosy relaxing with everything you need and more
- Mathew (9/5): Comfortable cottage with everything you would need. - Very nice and spacious good location comfortable beds and well equipped kitchen. Shower a bit low for anyone over six feet!
