Guest Reviews
- Robyn (2/5): Damp rooms, damp bedding. Don’t stay here. - The location was good, easy check in. Our room was damp, looks like they have just painted over the damp walls to hide it. The floor was wet due to how damp the room was, our bedding was even damp which was really uncomfortable to sleep in. It’s actually a health hazard. No one at the reception when we left, we tried to put our key in the key box on the wall using the code given when we booked, but this code didn’t work. I would never stay here again and if I’m honest, I’d advise others not to either due to the damp. I have take photos. Even when we left after one night, our bags we all damp.
- Jared (6/5): Decent room - I liked its location, the bedding was nice and the room was well appointed with furniture, fridge, kettle and complimentary teas and coffee. The TV was a nice addition The bathroom had 5+ air fresheners that made it difficult to breathe from all of the artificial fragrance in the air. It did not cover up the smell
of urine in the toilet nut only added to the indoor air pollution. I did not like the lack of windows in the room and bathroom.
- Lee (8/5): A nice little place. Nothing to fault. The staff allowed me to check in early - It was a very nice little place and well looked after, I would say a Japanese themed place. The bed was very comfy and the shower was great. The little room I stayed in was light but for one person it worked out ok About a 12 Minuit walk into the main centre of sanur, but not too bad. Many places to eat around on the street
- Mai (9/5): Quiet and comfy stay in Sanur - Had a lovely and restful stay again. Convenient location, quiet guesthouse, comfy bed and very clean in general. I highly recommend and will be back. Nothing.
- Luka (5/5): Very noisy stay with stained bed linen - AC in the room, large bathroom, very nice towels Stains all over the bed sheets and pillows.
Construction drilling and banging late into the night on the bedroom wall.
Shower barely works and dribbles through.
Bathroom has an odour issue that has been rectified with five scent diffuser and oil plug ins.
Very close to a busy street with road noise coming through a hole in the bathroom wall with only wire mesh on top and through the bathroom door.
Uncomfortable pillows
- Nathalie (6/5): -
- Chun Bee (10/5): Awesome - Pillow is too hard but it’s ok.
- Marianna (8/5): -
- Margherita (7/5): Acceptable and clean for one night, but. - Comfy bed, clean, practical location, cheap and kind staff. I appreciate it’s rainy season but there was a very bad smell from the bathroom. I could see it was very clean but something with the sewage needs to be addressed or handled differently.
Because the room is very small with no windows and the only “window” is the door, which can’t really be left open due to insects and mosquitoes coming in during this season, it felt a bit claustrophobic.
Also due to humidity there were big marks on the walls and paint coming off and a very damp vibe.
On top of this the walls are paper thin and I felt like I was in the room with my neighbour watching The Gladiator for the whole evening. This is not counting the street noise.
I’ve travelled a lot in Indo and some of these things individually can be managed for a short stay, but all added on in the same accommodation meant I left after a day and a half. The staff seemed to acknowledge my feedback.

- Lee (7/5): A great little place. 10 minutes walk to the main centre of sanur. - It’s small but nice and peaceful.
They did allow me to check In early In the room I stayed in the have a vent in the wall for the bathroom. Unfortunately non stop traffic noise

- Janette (9/5): Very lovely, clean and cozy, Would stay again definitely ! 🌞 - It was a true gem ! I stayed in the Sendai Room, which was the best of them all in my opinion! The view to the small garden and pool was beautiful and my favourite part. It was overall peacefull and felt private even there were four other rooms. The staff was super friendly. Lovely minimal Japanese style decoration, very much recommended ! I spend lot of time sitting next to the pool writing and meditating. I stayed only two nights, but would love to come back ! Walk to the beach every morning in less than 15mins was amazing way to start the day! Only minus I find is the road noise that comes inside the property and rooms. At night it calms down more but day time if you are very sensitive for noise it will be something to mention.
- Brett (8/5): - Clean and tidy A little bit noisy near main road
- Hana (9/5): -
- Stephen (10/5): The place is new I believe I found it very comfortable - It was comfortable and modern a new property I think ? Nothing
- Nadya (5/5): It was okay - I like that all the rooms were on the first floor There were so many small flies and they were no windows in the room so everything was constantly damp and smells undry. The only air circulation was through the bathroom’s exhaust fan so we kept the bathroom door open with the exhaust fan on when we go out of the room. A lot of wood furnitures are old like the chair in our room, it broke when my friend sat down out of nowhere.
- Georgina (10/5): Exceptional - The convenience was amazing for a one night stay after getting in late at the airport before heading to Nusa Lembongan
- Khadafi (10/5): -
- Mathilde (8/5): - Det var hyggeligt, intimt og der manglede ikke noget. Der var mange små fluer på værelset som ikke blev gjort rent.
- Stevanus (10/5): The staff were very proactive and helpful - I had an amazing stay at Mimoya Stay Sanur. The staff were very proactive and helpful
throughout my stay. The place was clean, comfortable, and beautifully designed in a
Japanese-inspired style that gave it a homey and relaxing atmosphere. The location is
strategic, close to Mertasari Beach and right across the main road, making it easy to get
around. The spacious parking area also made my trip even more convenient. I would
definitely love to stay here again.

- Rachel (7/5): Modern, clean, private guesthouse in Sanur with professional staff and access to shops - Mimosa is very modern & the room I got was clean and minimal - it had all the basics & very lovely nature shower gel and shampoo. There is also a pool in the courtyard, and I liked that it was a small guest house with only a few rooms. During my stay, I saw a mix of people staying - couples, friends, even a small family. Everyone was friendly & the property was clean.
The staff & property manager were also very professional and nice. I had to communicate with them on WhatsApp and everything was quick, easy, and polite. I would return to this property & hope the small issue I raised about the bathroom will be fixed by then. Small issue in bathroom with water drainage - didn’t bother me much, but I stayed in cheaper places where this wasn’t an issue, so I’m raising it to be fair.
Traffic noise from road outside - just need earplugs next time.
- Jose Miguel (10/5): Beautiful place relativelly near to the beach at a great price! - The place was very nice, silent and clean. The beds are huge and there is a small but cute swimming pool. There is a market just side by side of the place, and many local places to eat. The price was very good. The location is not in the main turistic street but it is at 15 minutes walking from the beach. However, it should be taken into account that sidewalks are not very large and a little broken. It is in the middle path between turistic and local. Anyway, we never had any unsafe sensation.
- Vera (10/5): -
- Mei Wah (5/5): - Central and quiet location. Bed was comfortable So many mosquito's in my room and the bathroom had a weird smell
- Chrissie (8/5): Was a nice quiet mini oasis with only 4 rooms and a small pool . Staff were friendly . - There was only 4 rooms so was quiet and staff were friendly .
The location was good …. On the quieter end of main road in Sanur . Only 10-15 mins walk to beach . Good amenities next door eg: mini mart , laundry , coffee . Water pressure was low and shower head needed cleaning .
Towels needed an upgrade.
- Kirsten (9/5): Recommended - Very good value for money. Comfortable bed, aircon, swimming pool and pretty quiet.
- Julia (9/5): Superb - good location
- Rosamancebo (9/5): Small and comfortable hotel with a Japanese touch - Mimoya is a small and very comfortable new hotel close to all the shops and restaurants in Sanur, but nested in a quiet area along the main road. It's Japan-themed, with kimonos and Japanese art decorating the walls and ceilings. It's cozy and feels really like a home when you step into the inner courtyard. My room was clean and spacious. I loved that they provide a kettle, drinking water, and plenty of plugs. I also want to know where they bought the mattress and pillows so I can buy them for my place - they were exceedingly comfortable! I will for sure stay again next time I pass by Sanur. The staff are lovely and attentive, but perhaps they need to be more proactive. They only asked if I wanted to have my room cleaned on my third and last day, and my water was only refilled when I requested it.
- Hans (10/5): Exceptional - I had a fantastic time during my stay! The room was perfectly clean and comfortable, which made for a very relaxing experience. The standout feature, however, was the outstanding staff Made and Arya. They were genuinely friendly, very welcoming, and always willing to go the extra mile, even offering daily room cleaning. Plus, the free coffee was a thoughtful bonus! I can confidently say I'd love to return in the future.
- Marina (6/5): Pleasant -
