Guest Reviews
- Roberto (10/5): -
- Barrie (7/5): A lovely flat marred by penny-pinching and lack of thought and care - The location was excellent, well sound-proofed, needed beside a busy road, The bedroom was at the back - no traffic noise even with an open window - yes, a window that could be open securely overnight. The bed was really comfy - great nights' sleep. An enormous TV and a decent settee to watch it from. It had a decent cooker with an oven(!) and plenty of sharp knives for preparing meals and a decent dining table to eat them at. What's not to like? Read on...
In conclusion, we would come back because of the location and good sleep and knowing what we were letting ourselves in for, but I expect this review will disincline the owners to accept our booking. There was a number we could have called but who goes on holiday to have to deal with that kind of hassle! There seemed almost no point in having the sharp knives mentioned above as there was no board to use them on - well, yes there was one, hidden in the narrow handle-less cupboard that I discovered on day 3, to the left of the fridge. It looked like I was the first ever to have found it. There was no oven dishes or trays and not even a grill pan which would have been useful since the advertised toaster was nowhere to be found. And washing up was awkward because the sink had no plug and there was no washing-up basin. What a waste of precious water and liquid washing up under a running tap. There was enough cutlery. On first glance the crockery seemed ok but actually it was mostly the 10 enormous dinner plates. Just a single cereal bowl - fine if you're serial cereal eaters. There was a single pasta bowl but it was cracked and should have been discarded long since. And only a single side plate for the toast that was clearly a challenge to make. No way to make coffee from ground coffee - not asking for a fancy coffee maker - a cafetière would suffice.
The description said toilet paper was provided and there was some but ones with hardly any sheets per roll - needed at least twice the amount provided. A reply to a previous review said the matter would be considered - clearly not well enough. The shower heat was scalding. not just really hot. Needs a plumber to sort the control. It can be adjusted with a lot of force and not a little trepidation. Hopefully if was left like that for the next people.

- Eileen (7/5): Good - Location No toaster. Shower was too hot mixer didn't work.
- Silva (10/5): Exceptional - Great location
- Emily (9/5): Superb - Super comfy, roomy place in an amazing location. Great to have a Tesco and bus stops right outside and be in a real trendy area with lots of nice cafes. The interior felt new and fresh. Nice decoration and lots of modern comforts. perfectly clean. the bed was really comfy and the rain shower was a bonus. Very helpful and responsive service and easy check in. Would definitely stay here again. It would be nice to have some kind of coffee maker (just a caffetiere would be great). Some bedside lamps would have been great too for reading in bed etc. Also because it's such a cool mural building lots of people are staring or taking photos right towards the kitchen/living room window so you can feel a little exposed eating your breakfast at the table if you don't like that kind of thing. You're up a bit from street level and people aren't really looking in so we didn't mind but it was quite funny. The kitchen could have been stocked with some cooking oil and a few more tea bags, but also you can get everything in tesco right opposite that you need.
- Jodi (8/5): It was a very quiet apartment though on a busy street. Very clean. Comfy bed bed and nice - The unit was quite clean, the bed was very comfortable, the living room was spacious and the customer service was responsive. The buildings’ front and unit door were both quite challenging to open and lock. It was frustrating. I returned home once and the building door was unlocked.
The floor hallway to the bathroom is quite uneven which detracts from the units appearance.
I stayed for 6 nights. Only 2 small toilet paper rolls were provided. For the price, that is insufficient for the length of stay. I had to buy my own which was inconvenient and seemed like something the owners should supply.
