• ISiOrm (9/5): central located fantastic and clean apartment with great hosts - It was self catering apartment so we did our own breakfast however we had a welcome complimentary drinks, cakes, sweets and milk, which was a nice touch. We loved the hot tub, spacious and very clean apartment, facilities, anmenities, kitchen/living room/dining area, having use of a balcony, having 2 bathrooms and 2 bedrooms was a bonus. The host/s were responsive, friendly and helpful with our queries. Nothing specific, however we found the mattress alittle too hard for our taste, however we understand the mattress isn’t going to cater for everyone preferences on how hard or soft they prefer their mattress to be. There was extra padded duvets bases to use. Overall this didn’t spoil the experience and would happily stay here again.

• Paula (10/5): The place to stay in Funchal! - The apartment is perfectly located right in the center of Funchal and offers more than you could need. It’s spacious, with a cozy living room and kitchen, and two very comfortable bedrooms upstairs. There’s even a really nice chill-out area under the roof. The host was incredibly kind and thoughtful, providing many little essentials for our newborn, which made us feel truly welcome.

• Antoine (6/5): Loud - Central, large loft property, nice balcony in one of the bedrooms to enjoy the sun in the morning. Kitchen is well equipped. The beds are confortable. Unfortunately, it was impossible to sleep in one of the bedrooms, which is directly next to two very busy roads. The noise level was loud : cars, scooters, and people talking could be heard constantly, often late into the night. The road only became quieter around 2 a.m and begins to be loud again around 8am. Despite the large bay windows, there was virtually no sound insulation, windows need to be changed. I have rarely experienced such a noisy accommodation. The traffic and late-night activity repeatedly woke me up, making sleep unbearable. In the end, I had to move the mattress out of the bedroom and sleep in the corridor every night just to get some rest! This information was not mentioned in previous reviews, and had we known, we would have chosen a different place. Unfortunately, this issue significantly affected and spoiled the last days of our trip. So if you enjoy silence and are sensitive to noise when you sleep I wouldn’t recommend this place. One of the bedrooms is quieter tho, not on the street side but the rest of the bedding are. In addition, this feels like a purely rental-focused property, with little to no charm. The lighting throughout the apartment uses cold white LED bulbs, which creates a harsh atmosphere. Warm yellow lighting would have made the space feel far more pleasant and welcoming!

• Lindsay (10/5): An extremely comfortable apartment in a central convenient location. - We would highly recommend Super Rabbit as a base for your stay in Funchal. The apartment was very modern, clean and comfortable. There were homely comforts like warm blankets, big pillows, soft rugs at your feet next to the beds, plants and ornaments - which all created a home from home atmosphere. Some accommodation - especially in warmer countries - can be a bit clinical but Super Rabbit had a lovely contemporary and warm feel about it. The kids loved the selection on the tv for winding down at the end of the day. It was very central - great for getting about to see Funchal’s best hotspots. The host provides a small sample of Portuguese treats to enjoy and coffee for the machine. Everything was provided for - toiletries, flannels, towels, decent hairdryers, cotton buds, dishwasher tabs, washing up liquid and detergent for the washing machine. Nice balcony to watch the world go by. The water in the hot tub could use a little attention and was crammed in quite a tight space. However, we saw the tub as a bonus not essential to our overall experience. There was an unpleasant smell in the downstairs toilet but we figured this was probably a problem with the city/area’s overall plumbing and not the apartment in particular. And we mainly used the upstairs bathroom anyway.
