Unterkunft liegt etwas abgelegen. Für Unternehmungen braucht man unbedingt einen Roller, den kann man aber super einfach und günstig bei der Unterkunft mieten.

• Niklas (8/5): - Die Unterkunft ist sehr großzügig geschnitten und bietet mit dem großen Pool, der modernen Einrichtung sowie der großen Küche und Außenbereich, dem Schlafzimmer und dem Badezimmer viel Komfort. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Personal, das sich jederzeit um Anliegen gekümmert hat. Praktisch war auch, dass man direkt vor Ort Roller ausleihen und Essen bestellen konnte. Die Lage ist etwas außerhalb von Ubud, was jedoch kein Problem darstellt, da man mit dem Roller in wenigen Minuten im Zentrum ist. Zudem war es sehr ruhig dort. Das Frühstück in der Unterkunft ist in Ordnung. Ein kleiner Minuspunkt war die Sauberkeit sowie das Badezimmer – dort war ein unangenehmer Geruch, weshalb wir die Tür meist geschlossen halten mussten. Abgesehen davon war der Aufenthalt insgesamt sehr angenehm.

• Si Chi (10/5): - Our stay at Badawa Ubud Villa was truly like stepping into a peaceful paradise. Surrounded by nature, the atmosphere is incredibly calm and relaxing. Waking up to sunlight and fresh air made us feel completely refreshed and reconnected with ourselves. The villa itself is spacious, beautifully designed, and perfectly reflects the charm of Bali. Everything looked exactly like the photos—if not even better. The private pool and open living space were definitely highlights, allowing us to fully unwind and enjoy a quiet, personal retreat. The staff were exceptionally kind and attentive. From check-in to check-out, we felt genuinely cared for. They were always ready to assist with anything we needed, making the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. Although the location is slightly away from the busy center, it offers a wonderful sense of privacy and tranquility. It’s only about a 10-minute drive to central Ubud, which is very convenient . Overall, this stay was more than just accommodation—it was a healing and memorable experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking to relax, recharge, and enjoy the beauty of Bali. We would definitely come back again 💛

• Danielle (10/5): If you need a romantic get away, consider here. - The staff Erikk and Yuda were perfect and the villa was very cute to stay in. It made for a lovely romantic getaway for my partner and I. I thought the place had 24/7 reception, however the boys leave around 4-5pm for the night. They are available by whatsapp in the evening and will respond pretty quickly which was nice. So I did not dock any points for them not being there 24/7 as it was more a misunderstanding from the booking page than anything. The road to the villa is also very tiny and some taxis will refuse to take it, but none of the private drivers or gojeks struggled with it.

He answered my questions very quickly and tried to help us with all our needs as best as he could despite it being Nyepi. He also came to help pick us up when we couldn’t find the villa upon on night time arrival. And also helped scooter us out with our luggage when the road was closed for maintenance during our checkout. The villa itself was really nice and all the amenities that we needed, including a nice pool, kitchen utensils and fast reliable wifi. Like many others have mentioned the location is a little far from everything and hard to get to. Local drivers who are used to going into tight spots were able to get to our villa but with some difficulty. There is also not much around so you have to walk a decent amount to get to even the closest convenience store. Another thing is while the bathroom looks beautiful, the shower itself isn’t really practical so long showers will lead to lots of pooling water!

It’s in the middle of rice paddies and it’s a perfect place to relax and unwind. We stayed there on Nyepi day and it was a nice experience overall. The staff are very attentive and friendly. They made sure our needs are met during our stay. The accommodation also offers a driver/tour guide for a small fee as well.

• Ashraful (9/5): A superb stay overall. The experience was fantastic and we would absolutely love to return again. - What I liked most was the superb villa and the excellent value for money. The host was very friendly, and the place is quiet, spacious, and offers a beautiful open sky view. The only downside was that the road towards the villa is not in great condition, and arriving at night can feel a little uncomfortable.
• Gabriela (8/5): - Very beautiful photo-wise. Inside your villa is quiet and good place to relax. The boys met us at the property when we arrived. Very easy. The place is beautiful but not well located, some GRAB/TAXI didn’t want to go there because there’s a very tiny street to get there. The cleanliness of the property was poor, they have cabinets and drawers but we had to clean it before use. Maybe because the area is a bit dusty, the villa gets dusty easier. But the service by the hosts was EXCELLENT. Very nice people. If you are scared of frogs, this is not a good option as as soon as night comes, these little guys come for a party.
• AR (9/5): Prijetna vila, mirna okolica, okusen zajtrk. - Erikk in Yuda sta bila zelo ustrežljiva. Dober zajtrk, mirna okolica, čista voda v bazenu, dovolj brisač. Priporočam bivanje v vili Badawa. V kuhinji ni bilo kuhinjskih brisač ali serviet, vendar smo se znašli z majhnimi kopalniškimi brisačami, ki pa jih je bilo dovolj.

As expected, plenty of mozzies and fireants due to the village location (though property does provide some mozzie coils and repellent) Odd drain smell in the bathroom that needs to be looked at Rideshare cars aren't allowed to enter this part of the village; need a private driver, own bike/scooter, or rideshare bike/scooter to get in and out (or walk 10-ish minutes to the main road for rideshare car pickup)

• 顏 (4/5): Mixed feeling, mostly shocked by the encounter I mentioned above. - The pool and bed is clean. My friend and I spent a night in this villa and enjoyed the tranquility here. However, we were met with a horrendously bizarre experience by the host the next day: The host (a guy) told us during the check-in that we should wait until he makes sure the room condition is okay before we check out. There we accepted this request. Next morning, my friend and I waited for the host to come check the room (he came with another guy, which we at first found quite weird but didn’t say anything about). While they were checking, we were invited to wait outside. However, the entire process took longer than I expected, so I opened the door to see if everything was alright. Right after I opened the door, I saw the host and the guy lying face down on the bed where MY FRIEND AND I SLEPT THE NIGHT BEFORE. I was shocked and couldn’t be sure what they were doing. It was until I yelled my friend’s name did the two guys jump up from the bed and tell us that the room was all okay and we were allowed to leave. My friend and I were so scared that we left the spot as quickly as possible. After I left the villa, I couldn’t help but keep thinking about what the hosts could be doing in our bed (especially facing down on our pillows, crazy) The more I think about it the more uncomfortable I get. I would recommend any female who wishes to stay in this villa NOT TO come alone. Although I hate to leave a negative review, I want to caution other travelers (especially female travelers) to be alert and careful when staying here.

Rubbish from bins were not cleaned daily. The breakfast had limited options. The fruit juices from breakfast were not fresh and felt watery. Other than that the staffs were polite and made us very comfortable.

The place was stunning, really good value for money and brilliant service. Loved staying here The only thing I would say, is that the shower didn’t have good pressure and the hot water ran out quite quickly. But bali is boiling, so wasn’t a big issue.

Staff did their best to be helpful, very accommodating. Breakfast was ok, (sausages were cold in the middle, so obviously reheated), fruit was bland . I would have preferred if the staff kept track of what was owed upon checkout, as I felt I had to prove what I owed. Staff was pleasant, but I was left feeling irritable . Not every grab car wants to drive the narrow entrance road.

• Shafiul (10/5): We have enjoyed the stay - it was peaceful and in the middle of nature. - The amenities are very clean, new, and modern, creating a pleasant Bali ambiance. The property is located next to a rice field. While the entry from the main road to the side road is a bit narrow, we were able to reach the doorstep in a six-seater Toyota Avanza. Erik and Yuda are very humble hosts. The villa is somewhat far from the main road, which might make it difficult to use ride-sharing services like Grab for nighttime outings due to the narrowness of the side road. However, if you have a hired car, it will not be an issue.

We found a frog under one of the chairs in the kitchen that jumped out when we moved the chairs and also a lizard in our friend’s bathroom who was in the other villa.
• Monna (9/5): beautiful experience with incredible hospitality - Walking into Badawa Villa felt like stepping into a soft little paradise. The property is gorgeous — way beyond what I imagined. Clean lines, beautiful layout, peaceful energy. And Erik set the tone from the moment I arrived. His smile, his warmth, the way he explained everything with patience and clarity — top-tier hospitality. He made me feel welcomed and grounded instantly, and I genuinely appreciated that. What I didn’t love was the cleanliness in certain areas. There were multiple hairs on the bathroom floor that definitely weren’t mine, and the bathroom drawers weren’t clean enough for me to put my personal items inside. They looked like they had some kind of tiny animal droppings. I saw the same type of droppings at the bottom of the refrigerator too. Those details matter, especially in a space this beautiful, and I feel the cleaning could’ve been done with more care. Other than that, the villa itself is stunning and has so much potential. With a bit more attention to cleanliness, this place would be absolutely flawless. It would be extremely helpful to have the villa’s exact location added to Google Maps and the major delivery/transport apps. Ordering food and booking transportation was a hassle because drivers couldn’t find the property and it doesn’t show up on Grab or the food delivery platforms. Adding the address would make guests’ experiences much smoother.

• Marie (6/5): Belle villa mais bruit infernal de travaux à côté - La villa était belle et le personnel très sympa! Malheureusement le ménage laissait à désirer, le miroir d’une des deux chambres était très sale ainsi que derrière l’évier. Notre villa donnait sur la rue donc c’était très bruyant en journée avec les scooters, et la nuit les aboiements de chiens prenaient le relais. Le pire était les travaux juste derrière le mur de la chambre, qui démarraient à 8h le matin. Impossible donc de dormir.
• Mouad (4/5): Bad - Comfortable bed I honestly don’t understand how this property received such a high rating. I rarely leave reviews but this experience needs to be shared. From the moment we arrived we were greeted by a filthy sofa at the reception during check-in, which really put us off right from the start. The place was far from clean — there were large spider webs in the bedroom and visible dirt in every corner. Worst of all, the bathroom had an unbearable odor that spread into the room, making it extremely uncomfortable to stay in. Second night we got invaded by insects, I understand they can’t do much for this but just FYI . Overall, very bad experience. There are better options around.

Die Unterkunft liegt etwas außerhalb der Stadt ist aber mit dem Taxi relativ gut zu erreichen nur ein etwas blöder weg um auf die Hauptstraße zu kommen da ein Abschnitt sehr schmal ist (passt gerade noch so ein Auto durch) ansonsten wird auf alle Wünsche eingegangen. Klare Empfehlung ! Nichts.

• Laurent (10/5): VILLA DE RÊVE AU CALME D UBUD - La villa était comme nous l'avions imaginé, très spacieuse, très belle avec une piscine privée vraiment très agréable. Tout était parfait et nous avions l'impression d'être chez nous dès la première soirée. Après avoir visité Ubud je peux vous assurer que vous serez les plus heureux de retrouver le calme de cette villa qui se trouve à environ 10/15mn en scooter de toutes les choses à voir à Ubud (enfin les plus connues). Les photos du site sont très belles mais en vrai l'atmosphère et encore plus incroyable. De plus Erikk et Yuda sont toujours présents pour nous aider à organiser nos journées. Maintenant nous espérons que les autres logements de notre séjour seront à la hauteur. Peut être que le seul reproche est l'accès en voiture qui n'est pas des plus simple mais une fois que vous êtes en scooter ce n'est plus un gros soucis et la route est entrain d'être refaite donc ça devrait être un sans faute d'ici peu.

They helped us with everything, even with motor renting, taxi, fast boat ticket etc. I can recommend you 100% this apartment, we are very satisfied. Guys csn arrange you daily trips as well. Ubud center is 10mins with moto, with car can be much more. It is for people who want a more chilly vibe, yet near to the center. Airport is 40km, approximately 2hours with taxi, but totally worth it as sightseeings are near with moto from here. Definitely would come back🙏🏻

The amenities were helpful to make our stay as relaxing as possible and the staff offered us so many things to do! I loved the bedroom and the pool the most. Make sure you request their transportation services, they are very convenient. The location was very difficult to overlook and quite inconvenient when it came to leaving independently. A lot of the Grab cars weren’t willing to drive down the narrow road to get to us and the streets weren’t exactly walkable in the dark. This made dinner plans quite difficult. The cleanliness of the dishware was also not fantastic which made me weary to cook.

• Milan (10/5): Exceptional - My family loved the comforts of this secluded villa in the rice fields. The villa is conveniently designed with a seamless flow of indoor and outdoor spaces, all well maintained and kept clean, which goes for the pool too. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the butler service which they provide makes a big difference. The breakfast menu has a variety of 7 or 8 options which are all great, home prepared and served on the terrace. No major downsides for this property. The only thing worth mentioning is the access road which was narrow and broken, and not to be recommended to someone who is renting a car in Bali. The best option for this property would be to ask the butler to arrange for one's transportation, as this was something that they did for us at reasonable rates.

• Jirashaya (10/5): Exceptional - This property is very new and clean. It is definitely worth staying. The host/ staff were super friendly and helpful and had great knowledge of the area. Especially Aris & Rikk, they were able to assist me with all my requests. The place is definitely secluded and depends on what you are looking for. If you are looking to get away from all the noise this is definitely the place.
• Ewals (10/5): PERFECT! - Hi everyone, I had the best day at Badawa Villa in Ubud! The staff is beyond amazing and would go do anything to make your stay perfect ( these guys deserve a big bonus ;) ! ) We first couldn't find the place as Google Maps led us 4 minutes away from the villa but after contacting them it was easy to find. We got fresh cold coconuts at arriving and we were amazed by how beautiful and clean the villa was. The bed is so comfy and I wish I could sleep the whole day in it. We already miss it! The pool is cold and perfect for a hot day. We are definitely coming back to this place when we are in Ubud again. Thank you so much for this! :) /
• Kex (10/5): Amazing hospitality, underrated villa in Ubud! - We don’t normally leave reviews - however this villa is not one to be gatekept. Being the last leg of our holiday, booking this accommodation was a strategic decision to get out of the hustle and bustle. The villa is slightly off ubud city centre, yet still convenient enough to do our regular sightseeing within 15 mins on a gobike. Erik and Yuda welcomed us in true Balinese hospitality - and we immediately fell in love with the villa. It wasn’t just how aesthetic the bathrooms are, how cosy the rooms are, or how spacious the entire villa is – it’s the attention to detail (it was my best friend’s birthday and they had a really beautiful bed spread with bamboo leaves spelling our Happy Birthday). Erik and Yuda took time to introduce the villa and amenities. We didn’t have time in our itinerary for a cooking class (after extensive research online usually around 4 hours) - and Erik referred us to a cooking class which was only 2.5 hours. He even made the booking and advanced payment for us 🥹 On the day of checkout, our flight unfortunately got delayed because of the volcano eruption. Eric and Yuda allowed us to extend our checkout time by an hour as we sorted out our flights with our airline. Very accommodating! We’re beyond lucky to be one of the first few guests at this villa.
