L'appartement était très propre, fonctionnel et confortable.

Buntz (8/5): Ferienwohnung in Bestlage am Strand - Die Lage der Ferienwohnung ist wunderbar, hell und direkt am sauberen Sandstrand und an der gemütlichen Strandpromenade, in erster Reihe, der Blick vom Balkon geht seitlich Richtung Meer. Das Apartment war sehr sauber und mit praktisch eingerichteter Küchenzeile. Der Stellplatz in der Tiefgarage ist großzügig und leicht erreichbar. Das Gebäude ist sehr hellhörig. Das Schlafzimmer ist recht eng, und insgesamt wäre mehr Stauraum für das Reisegepäck wünschenswert. Etwas ärgerlich ist, dass eine Kaution fällig wird, aber niemand zur Übergabe anwesend ist. Irgendwie sollen die Gäste bei Anreise alles im Detail selbst dokumentieren und bei der Abreise noch einmal. Das sollte so nicht sein.

There is parking allocated in the underground car park.
The apartment was very clean and well equipped. First, there's no way this apartment could comfortably fit 6 people in it. There would be no privacy at all and 4 of them would be sharing one small windowless room. The other two would sleep on the sofa bed just outside the bedroom door.
There seemed to be lots of long and unnecessary messages prior to checking in. The messages asked how we wanted the beds configured but it wasn't done correctly.
They ask for a damage deposit equal to the full amount for the stay, which seemed excessive. I can understand that they have refurbished it and made it nice and clean but it is also a business and they seem to want guests to bear all the risk.
Upon entering the apartment there's a list of conditions on the back of the door, worded in a way which threatens withholding of the deposit if you fail to strip the beds and do the washing up. It isn't reasonable to expect this and it's certainly not something we had agreed to prior to paying the deposit. Paying guests don't feel trusted as a result and the rental incudes cleaning before and after guests. I understand that it's ok to ask guests to leave the place clean. We would do this anyway. But threatening to not pay the deposit is not good.
We cooked one evening and received a message from the host reminding us not to smoke in the apartment. We had not smoked inside the apartment and didn't appreciate the accusation. It turned out a smoke alarm had alerted the host (but hadn't made any sound in the apartment). They did not ask if we were OK or if there was any problem just assumed we had been smoking. Again we didn't feel trusted as guests from this and felt the focus wasn't on our safety as the smoke alarm didn't alert us.
Check out is very early (10am).
All in all, they seem more concerned about their investment and protecting it from risk than providing a welcoming and relaxing holiday experience for guests.
Overall I can't recommend it.
