• Dr. René Zöller (2/5): Ein nicht wiederholenswerter Aufenthalt. - Die perfekt deutschsprechende und sehr freundliche Managerin wie uns beim Einchecken darauf hin, dass es abends wegen einer Betriebsfeier recht laut werden könnte. Wir sollten besser Ohrstöpsel benutzen. In der Tat war dann diese Betriebsfeier eine Zumutung für alle anderen Gäste. Bis spät in die Nacht hämmerte der Bass durch das Gebäude, das Trampeln der über uns Tanzenden machten ein Einschlafen unmöglich. Angetrunkene Feiernde grölten durch die Gänge und schlugen mit den Türen, die sich im übrigen nur mit Druck schließen lassen. Das muss man wissen, weil ansonsten das Zimmer offen zugänglich bleibt. Es wurde ein Schild im Hotelgang aufgehangen, dass die Feierndden aufforderte, Rücksicht zu nehmen. Hätten wir um diese Umstände rechtzeitig vorher gewußt, hätten wir das Hotel nicht gebucht. Bei einer Information nach Buchung hätte man uns auch die Möglichkeit einer kostenfreien Stornierung einräumen müssen, was beides nicht der Fall war. Das alles ist vor dem Hintergrund des Preises von knapp 400 €/Zimmer sehr ärgerlich.

• Anna U. Ralf (9/5): Tolle Unterkunft auf unserer Rundreise - Die Lage war toll ; vor allem der Blick aus dem Restaurant. Der Empfang war toll und der Service im Restaurant ebenfalls. Das Abendessen war super , ebenso das Frühstück. Das Zimmer war neu und gemütlich eingerichtet. Außerdem gab es zwei schöne Hot Tubes im Garten. Die Dusche und das Waschbecken war wirklich sehr klein. Und ein Duschvorhanh finde ich in neu renovierten Zimmern auch nicht mehr so zeitgemäß.

We very much enjoyed the happy hour in the lounge and the hot tub/cold plunge area. Everything was very clean and tidy. Our room was a corner room with great views. The staff gave us great insight to area sights to see and things to do if we had time. The ponies outside the hotel were great to visit. We also appreciated being able to park at the property. The Bathroom was smaller than some we stayed in and the shower was tiny. we had no place to really put our toiletries but we had Shampoo and Soap to use. We would have also liked another one or two choices to order from the Lounge instead of dinner in the Restaurant

• Aurelijus (6/5): Pretty basic hotel but convinient location for travellers - The location of this place is very convenient for travelers going to the northwestern Iceland. The breakfast was rather good, but most surprisingly the restaurant in the evening was very good. First, the room was super basic and rather small (compared to other places we stayed in Iceland). The bathroom was a bit of a joke, the sink was ultra small and very inconvenient. The shower (last time i have seen such shower was more than 15 years ago in Eastern Europe) was ridiculous, too small even for one person. All in all, this places needs a serious makeover.

• Cameron (7/5): Booyakasha - Probably the best breakfast of the trip I wish Booking.com would let me upload a video but if you open your window to air out your room (since for some reason, Iceland always blasts their heat to max temps) then the difference in air pressure would cause the panels in the ceiling nearest the vent to bend and creak as air rushes in and out of the gaps made from the bends. At one point I decided to take a video just in case I needed evidence if the ceiling collapsed on me and my partner. Huge design overlook on the contractors’ part.

Zimmertüre war mühsam schliessbar, wie hatten zudem mit Frühstück gebucht mussten aber etwas früher los - das Hotel kam uns nicht entgegen emtweder etwas mitzugeben oder bereitzustellen obwohl weit und breit auch keine Einkaufsmöglichkeit bestand. Würde das Frühstuck wenn dann vor Ort buchen.

Great location to observe norther lights (you should drive a bit to the north from the main road before the hotel’s driveway though to avoid lights of the greenhouses in front of the hotel). Breakfast options were not as wide as other similar grade hotels we stayed at during our Iceland trip.

We sincerely enjoyed our stay and most certainly would stay here again. The bathroom was the least desirable part of the room. Sink really small and shower not at all convenient.

Beim Frühstück gab es nur Filterkaffee; es stand kein anderer Kaffee zur Verfügung. Neben dem Hotel befand sich ein Gewächshaus, was für viel Licht sorgte.

Generally felt 1' extra on the room would make all the difference! Rather disappointed with the huge amount of light pollution outside - if there was an aurora, we'd never be able to see, mainly the massive greenhouse, lit up all night.
