Guest Reviews
- Elida (10/5): Excellent - Very clean Close to town
- IMANTS (9/5): Relaxing stay. Centrally located. - Great location, friendly staff. Locked parking lot. The shower water needs to be warmer.
- Denise Marie Pummer (6/5): Great location, better options nearby - The location was excellent and we liked the secure free parking. However, our room was felt cramped and was way too bright. Thus we were up very early and had to wait for someone to unlock the parking lot gate at 7 am. We also left before the included breakfast so unable to comment on this.
- mara (8/5): - Molto caratteristico e con una propria personalità La colazione va migliorata e’ troppo basica
- Alison (10/5): Cozy, friendly, easy to meet other travelers, view from balcony was special! - Quant, unique, located in walking distance of many great places: Center plaza, Malecan, bookstore, restaurants, pharmacy (etc!) N/A
- roabie (10/5): -
- roabie (10/5): -
- Eva (3/5): Way overpriced - Location is good but the room which was advertised as having garden and courtyard view was a tiny dark box. The widow was 1x2 feet and looked out onto a dark hallway. At $253 a night that was a real disappointment. Felt like the advertisement was quite misleading. The staff were nice but said they could not offer us a room
that matched our expectations based on the listing. In fact we are pretty sure the listing promised a balcony as well. Location
- Alison (10/5): Memorable, easy to walk to Center Loreto, the plaza!!! - Lovely colorful tile, floral plants, and Historical artifacts, roughy-iron spiral staircase to a quaint roof balcony…all giving giving an aesthetic authentic ambience.
Comfortable, clean!!! Hacienda style: rooms face a sweet court yard. Tables/chairs shaded under umbrellas.
We were able to meet other travelors.
- Richard (10/5): -
- Lisa (9/5): -
- Patty (10/5): Cute place close to the malecón and the centro. - Cute Boutique hotel. Well furnished. They allowed us to have our animals but were concerned about animals being on beds, even though we paid extra for each animal. Nothing it was a great place and would stay there again.
- mathilde (10/5): Beaucoup de charme, une très bonne adresse - Un bel établissement dans un joli quartier Rien
- Frank (10/5): Our go to stay whenever in Loreto - Beautiful Mexican boutique hotel. Quaint and only 8 suited. Nothing
- Rich (9/5): Superb -
- Domenic (8/5): Great stopover or stay. - The hotel is very quaint and rustic, but clean and well maintained. It was very "Mexican." It is only a block away from the Mission Walking Street, so it is very handy to that. It is also two blocks from the beach, Malecon. There is a terrific bakery located inside. Monnies! Great pastries. We stayed on the ground floor by choice. It was only 1 night and no elevator. The views from the upper rooms must be good though. They have a locked parking area which was appreciated. The breakfast is typical of most hotels. Toast, yogurt, granola, some sliced fruit, and good coffee. Not much. It was a good value for the price. I would bok it again.
- Marshall (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sharon (8/5): Very good - Both the breakfast and the location were great. Easy walk to everywhere we wanted to go. Hot water in the upstairs units.
- Sakineh (10/5): Exceptional - Wonderful place with amazing staff. Very clean in an excellent location in town.
Very good and simple breakfast with great coffee, too.
Have stayed here before and will book again for my next visit. Not a thing!
- Natalie (8/5): very lovely - great location. love the roof top having other guests walk right by the window
- Edward (9/5): Charming historic building, with friendly staff and modern amenities (AC, etc.) -
- Jade (10/5): Perfect start to the holiday - Friendly, great location, quiet, cute rooms. Lovely courtyard for breakfast etc
- Julie (8/5): Very good - Quaint, romantic building and rooms, good location and close to the malecón and town square. It was very noisy and has no insulation - our room faced the street and we could hear every car that went by, music, barking dogs, everything!
- Stephen (8/5): Very good - Lovely building. Nice sitting area on the roof. Great location. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was a joke. Room was small.
- Cecilia (8/5): We will certainly stay there at our next visit to beautiful Loreto. - The hotel has a beautiful and warm Mexican feel. It is nicely situated in the middle of the historic downtown close to the all the best amenities Loreto has to offer.
Our room was comfortable, albeit a tad small. The bathroom was well appointed and everything was immaculately clean. Staff was pleasant. Nada
- Willanne (9/5): Comfortable place to stay. - This is a convenient location and they do have parking across the street from the property which is behind a locked gate at night for security. The beds were really comfortable. Continental breakfast is provided too. Nice sunset views from the rooftop decks. Also, it was immaculately clean. It was a bit too expensive for the quality but it was very comfortable overall. The bathroom is rather small but in good condition.
- Frank (10/5): Will return any time I travel to Loreto. - A intimate boutique hotel.
- Raul (8/5): It was a short stay but overall it was a good place to stay. - Location and tranquility of the hotel For the price I would expect a pool because it gets realy hot in Loreto.
- Danielle (10/5): Exceptional - The room is lovely, and we love sitting on the balcony or the roof enjoying our glass of wine or morning coffee. You can just see the water and island beyond from the roof top patio.. The location is easy to access by car with gated parking across the small street (locked at night), and then a quick, easy walk over to the town square and mission church. I love being able to hear the church bell's early in the morning! Nothing to complain about!
- Thomas (9/5): Great - Great building, room really nice.
- Aaron (9/5): Superb - Location was wonderful. Good area of town within walking distance to good dining and the water. The staff was very accommodating and friendly.
- Susan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Frank (10/5): Exceptional - Well designed, lots of texture, covered patios and balconies. Great rooms, great beds. The spiral staircase to one of the rooftop patios could be tricky for some people, and there were a few tiled steps of uneven height.
- Steve (9/5): Superb -
- Joy (9/5): Superb -
- Theodore (7/5): Good -
- Ana (10/5): Exceptional -
- José (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kerrie (8/5): Very good - Our room was smallish, but the bathroom was lovely. There is a lovely courtyard with tables and chairs and we had breakfast there. The staff were extremely helpful in facilitating our trip back to the airport. The breakfast was good, but small. We don't drink coffee and there was no other beverage provided.
- Kim (8/5): Quiet area close to town and malecon. - Quiet area, close walking to beach and town. Comfortable bed, some people say the mattress is hard, but they are quality firm mattress. Nice bedding and pillows. Very clean. I would book again. Microwave refrigerator and kitchenette area, is nice for leftovers (not a cooking kitchen). Nice extra blanket if needed and good air conditioning. The balcony in the Suite Cortes is small (maybe 2' deep), no sitting area, the description says it has a terrace/balcony. It was a disappointment. The room next to us had a terrace/balcony with a sitting area, so you may want to call to confirm your choice. Breakfast consisted of 1/2 cup mango, 2 toasts, 1 teaspoon butter, honey, 1 tablespoon oats, 4oz yogurt, 1 cup coffee or tea, per person. Lack of closet or dressers.
- Lilian (10/5): Truly pleasant stay! - We chose a larger room with a kitchenette and a balcony Continental breakfast was brought to room each morning and even brought early when we had an early tour to get to. Mosquito nets on balcony doors. No bugs in February, but can see this thoughtful touch would be appreciated when bugs are about.. be aware of steps in odd places. air handling unit is finicky, but opening doors gave a nice breeze.
- Lisa (9/5): Beautiful room, location was great… - Beautifully decorated rooms and entire property. Loved the rooftop lounge area…
Staff was Super breakfast was a nice touch served to our room. Housekeeping was top notch. Only slight complaint is the bed was too hard for us, maybe not for some… Nada
- Halina (8/5): Would stay here again. Right at downtown, mission, and malicon walkway. - Mexican origins. Willingness to accommodate. Served breakfast to room at preferred time. Rooftop terrace with excellent sunset views.
Beautiful Mexican windows. Plants and outdoor seating area. Bed was too firm. No washcloths provided. Did have hand towels and bath towels.
Everything else was great.
- Halina (8/5): Delightful small hotel. Super staff. - Mexican authenticity. Clean property.
Super staff with helpful English language skills .
They held a found my iwatch which had fallen out of sight in my room at check-out.
They contacted me to say they had it . They held it for me until my return days later.
Nice shampoo etc dispensers. Large pump style. No wash cloths. Plenty of towels and hand towels.
Could use a light over the mirror.
- Norma (7/5): Just ok - Location, few
Minutes walking from downtown and malecón , friendly staff. There is a restaurant/bar around the corner, music very loud at night and it makes it difficult to sleep.
Shower head needs to be changed it was clogged, not enough water to
Shower comfortably.
Matress was
Ok not very
Comfortable.
- Leslie (7/5): Loved it but for the noise. - Beautiful tile in shower, gorgeous patios, pretty room and super clean. Nighttime noise - music from the bar down the street lasts until 1am.
- Aboretto (10/5): Exceptional -
- Larry (8/5): Very good -
- Paul (9/5): We will definitely stay at this hotel again when visiting Loreto. - All of the staff were very courteous and helpful. And the room was very clean. We especially like that the hotel is conveniently located to the center of town. The mattress was too hard to sleep comfortably.
- Curtis (8/5): Wonderful place to stay near the water and historic center of town. - Great location near the historic town center. Very friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful large room with wonderful tile work in the bathroom and shower. Great rooftop veranda where you could relax and enjoy the partial view of the water. The was only one thing that was a negative. The mattress and pillows we covered in a plastic material under the sheets and pillow cases. This was a bit uncomfortable to get used to, but not so much that I did not get a great nights sleep.
- George (9/5): Superb -
- William (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nancy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Randy (8/5): Very good -
- Jane (8/5): Lovely hotel close to everything in Loreto ! - We loved the location, very close to the Malecon and lots of shops and restaurants. The staff were very friendly and helpful ! We really enjoyed the upstairs deck where you could sit and enjoy the ocean and mountain views. We don't like cantalope so the breakfast fruit was not great for us but the toast and yogurt were nice along with a cup of coffee. It would be nice if they had coffee supplies in the room so you could make your own but it was just fine as it was.
It would be nice to have more hooks in the bathroom to hang towels, there was only 1 towel rack.
- Stephen (9/5): Superb -
- Timothy (8/5): Very good -
- Danielle (9/5): Really charming hotel convenient to cathedral and town square. - This is a charming hotel just a block off of the main town center square and mission church square. Easy to walk to all the restaurants and shops, but a little quieter than being right on the square. It also had gated parking right across the small street from our room. Breakfast was simple continental (fruit yogurt granola coffee) and delivered to our room at the time of our choice specified at check in. The room was very nice and clean. We will definitely stay there again on our trips through Loreto.
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paul (8/5): A very clean and hospitable hotel, with great walking access - The staff is exceptionally helpful and courteous.. The mattresses need mattress toppers. We had problems with circulation in arms and hips.
- Christopher (8/5): Very good - Very convenient for the town, a two minute walk to the town square and 10 minutes to the beach.
- Felicia (5/5): Passable - The location is awesome in the property is very charming. do not ask for room number five. There is a spiral staircase that runs next to the apartment and a roof deck right above. Unfortunately, there were young children running up and down and we heard it at all hours of the day.
- Stanley (9/5): Superb -
- Sasa (9/5): very good location and cozy room. - Breakfast is normal. Location is the best, 1 - 2 blocks far from the central plaza. so convenient and not noisy, tranquil. it takes time to get the shower water warmer.
- Anne (7/5): Good -
- Christopher (8/5): Very good -
- Jill (9/5): Nice historic hotel would stay here again. - Nice and very tasteful historic design. Friendly and easy checkin. Smallish room but had everything we needed and comfortable for a couple. Comfortable bed. Nice and clean. We missed the breakfast due to early departure so cannot comment on that. My partner struggled a little with the church bells late into night but that would be an issue staying anywhere downtown. Didn’t bother me at all.
- Dale (10/5): we’ll be back - no breakfast
was located right in town near everything
- Carol (4/5): we won’t be back - like the location loud
- Dan (10/5): Exceptional - This was a pleasant surprise. Highly recommend! Extra parking for a trailer was a nice option. No concerns
- Harmer (9/5): Very comfortable stay - close to center of historic area - Beautifully furnished
Light breakfast was a nice touch
Free parking A little expensive
- Anne (9/5): We liked this hotel and would stay here again. - Hotel is only a few blocks from the malecon. Very nice rooms!
- James (8/5): Very good -
- Joann (9/5): Superb - The hotel is beautiful, clean and in a great location. The check-in process was a bit odd. No one was there when we arrived, but the manager's niece worked nearby and called her to check us in.
- Karen (10/5): Exceptional - Location Breakfast
- Imelda (10/5): Treated me like family. Made me feel special. - The staff treated me like family and made me feel special. Josefa Office staff, helped me book a snorkeling trip to Isla de Coronado on the very last day of my stay. Also, Diana went out of her way to make me feel at home. The photos online were deceiving as to the size. Rooms are small and hotel lacks any gym, hot tub or swimming pool which should have been part of any vacation. My bad, should have looked more carefully at the description.
- Jason (10/5): Exceptional - Very nice boutique hotel. Fully met our expectations. The staff was extremely accommodating and kind. Location is great, right next to the malecón, shops and restaurants...and the hotel offers parking. Will definitely stay there again.
- Stephen (7/5): Nice ambiance for a night or 2. - Interesting architecture. Nicely furnished. Bathroom window could not close and let mosquitoes in. Shower pressure very weak. If you have thick hair do not was it here. You will never get the soap out.
Add a bit more granola to breakfast. One shot glass of granola is not adequate for 2 people. The fruit, bread, and yogurt were fine.
- Tanya (10/5): Everything was above expectations - The service team did perfectly Cleaned every day. Tasty breakfast, smiling face
- Pratt (9/5): Nice touches go a long way! - The customer service given to me by the front desk was wonderful.
I really enjoyed the set up for coffee, water, and drinks in the hotel room. The drinking glasses were a nice touch:
Along with the wrapped towels and toiletries tied with together with a ribbon
The colored tile bathroom was beautiful and the bed most comfortable.
The breakfast was a nice morning treat too! I enjoyed it on the top roof deck. I got woken up at 1 am than again at 1:30 am by a loud group of people outside the gate laughing and Carrying on.
It continued outside my room…at 2:30 am
I finally went out to tell the group I was trying to sleep.
I stayed at this hotel because I read how peaceful and quiet it was as I needed to rest after many days of hard work and I was just starting my vacation.
I was discouraged that no one from the hotel took care of letting this group know other customers were staying at the hotel and May need to sleep.
I enjoyed my breakfast on the upper veranda but the area was unfortunately dirty and I didn’t enjoy looking at cigarette buts. Other than these 2 issues it was a lovely stay.
- Debbie (9/5): Superb -
- Kathryn (10/5): The staff was very friendly, it was very very clean and the showers and bathroom was beautiful. It was assuring that the - The staff was very friendly, it was very very clean and the showers and bathroom was beautiful. It was assuring that the community was gated and our car was in a safe place.
- Dennis (9/5): Superb -
- Jamie (9/5): Superb -
- Steven (6/5): Very pleasant - The included breakfast of fruit and toast was very nice. Hard to keep toast very warm , but still nice with jam. Shower head needed to be replaced and low pressure.
- Mara (9/5): Charming, convenient stay. - Charming Mexican architecture, quality sheets, pillows and bed, perfect location, fully stocked kitchenette. We stayed in the second floor king suite. It was private and comfortable. Nice private terrace and beautiful ocean view rooftop terrace. Breakfast was well presented but continental. The bathroom window did not seal shut so we closed it with the ac on.
- India (8/5): A nice, comfortable place to stay. - We were greeted in a friendly manner and helped to our room. He even came out to the car to help bring in our bags.
There was a coffee maker and tea available. And a small refrigerator with a tiny, but adequate, freezer. I thought our room had a private patio. It was shared by 4 adjacent rooms. Our room was the only one left at the time I booked. I would only stay at an upstairs room with a private balcony in the future.
- Martin (9/5): Superb - Quiet location just outside the heavily touristed area.
- Linda (10/5): stunning - We couldn’t figure out the parking. The hotel front desk gentleman saw us and came right out to help. At the desk he seemed to know exactly who I was. He showed us to the room which was adorable.I took pictures everywhere at the hotel because everywhere you looked was picturesque. Breakfast was included. They wanted to know when we wanted it since it was brought to the room and then set in the courtyard outside our room at their suggestion. Superlative service nothing
- Alexey (10/5): Exceptional - stylish and very comfortable with authentic, quirky details of interior! highly recommend!
- Alecia (8/5): Very good -
- Lisa (10/5): Loved it! Will always stay here when in Loreto. - Loved the breakfast brought to the room. It was just enough to get the day started.
- Catherine (9/5): Characterful hotel in a great location - What a lovely place. Helpful and friendly staff, spotlessly clean everywhere, the room was great - we had a balcony with a glimpse of the sea and the furnishings were very nice. Excellent shower and it’s in an amazing location close to the centre and the sea I believe the breakfast feature is new. My husband enjoyed it - fresh fruit, yoghurt, toast and coffee - but I’m a I’m cup of tea in the morning kind of person so it was wasted on me! Not the hotels fault at all though!!
- Christian (7/5): Good - Location. Roof top.
- María (6/5): Pleasant -
- Gibbs (8/5): Very good - Breakfast was very nice but was the same every morning. Great place for a short stay. We were there for two weeks and were getting claustrophobic. We had no kitchen facilities but were lucky as we had friends staying in Loreto who fed us some of the time. Our room was quite dark, the courtyard was lovely but not very sunny.
- Fei (10/5): Exceptional - lovely property, great location, one block to beach, very welcoming and helpful staff, beautiful room decor and very homey. Room service breakfast is great, super fresh fruits and good coffee.
