• Brendan (7/5): Cheap accommodation. - Grand and cheap, quiet mostly. Kitchen facilities are available, but I did not bother with it. The local Duck In The Pond pub served breakfast on the Sunday but not on Monday. It also served meals. Too far from underground stations, I was unfamiliar with local bus services. I did not like the use of a lockbox for a front door key, the one key shared with every other guest! A keypad lock would be more practical. The bedroom carpet was dirty, and laminate flooring would be better. The communal toilet upstairs extractor fan did not work, and there was no window. The Saniflo pump at the back of the toilet did not always work after flushing, and it was noisy at times. In the communal shower room, although it was clean, there was a clump of long hair in the shower due to the laziness of another guest to clean it up! I picked it up and flushed it down the toilet as there was no bin in the shower room, toilet, or my bedroom! The only available bin was in the kitchen! There were empty shampoo and shower gel bottles left in the shower as well as a used razor blade and empty soap wrapper during the 2 days that I stayed there. The lever on the wash basin tap was broken, but it was usable. One guest was noisy, knocking on other guests' doors in the middle of the night as property had been stolen from his room, and he had not locked his door.
• Allen Evans (7/5): Fairly a great time out there only needs some little upgrades to make the place superb and exceptional. - Everything about the property looks good except few. Heaters not working, poor response from owner and bathroom glass doors got broken.
• Guest (1/5): Nightmare - Absolutely nothing It was dirty the shower was full of hair I stayed 1 night and left I would have sooner slept in a skip DONT STAY THERE!!!! I asked for money back and got nothing

• Sandesh (1/5): One of the worst experiences with the stay - The price is bit cheaper than everywhere still but not value for money The bedding was smelling a lot and hairs was everywhere. Shower and wash basin was blocked with the hairs.

• Vinodini (7/5): Despite initial trepidations, you get what you pay for and it's good value for location too. - Initially I thought, oh no it looks like no-one lives here, but soon discovered the hidden gem was upstairs. All rooms locked and bathroom with hot water and sink. Kitchen downstairs was equipped with the things required to make breakfast. Clean fridge, cupboards and basic set of utensils - but adequate and I used it. The mattress was very springy and soft. The heating came on at 5.45 during current heatwave and high temp when the night's only just cooled off the room. Have reported and will be dealt with, owner was helpful in also arranging for my bedsheet to be collected as I forgot to take with me on early departure.

• Paul (1/5): Bad - Nothing Was told I would get a refund, four weeks and multiple messages later and still no refund. No bedding for one of the beds, rooms had rubbish left in them, heating on full and not a single piece of cutlery in the whole house. DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE

I contacted the property both by phone and message, but only received a response two days later — which is today, the date of my checkout, as I had booked the room for two nights. The explanation I received was that the issue occurred because it was the weekend. I find this unacceptable, as guests should not be affected by scheduling issues and the room should have been ready upon arrival.
