Guest Reviews
- Ludwig (8/5): -
- mohamed (9/5): Sweet Suite - Very close to the city center and restaurants. I had a really spacious suite with a private balcony and a large luxe bathroom. Beautifully appointed throughout with a long dip pool in the courtyard. Breakfast is off-property, one street over at the Paloma’s Hotel. Also, while the price included breakfast, the choice was limited to the ‘completo’. I actually ordered a cheaper option one morning and was going to be charged for it because it wasn’t the ‘completo’. In the end, they removed the charge when I pointed out the price.
- Aldo (5/5): -
- Anette (10/5): -
- Sarah (5/5): Great staff, pretty on the inside but for the price I would choose a different hotel for sure - Decent location being within a few blocks (depending where you’re going)walking to the Santa Ana Park/ Montejo area and park grande and the Santa Lucia areas with restaurants and shopping, typical tourist spots. However, I think there are probably many choices that are even a little closer to these areas. The pool was never in the sun so while it’s picturesque in the photos, it’s not very usable. At least not for me. The Sister hotel had a slightly better pool and you have to go over there for the breakfast if you choose to include it and they will let you use the pool there too. As for the restaurant that provided the breakfast at the Sister Hotel (casa Palomas), while really nice looking, the food was well below par and very expensive. Breakfast was included so I didn’t have to pay for it but on the last day, my sister went to have breakfast there and it was over 500 pesos so definitely don’t do that. There’s too much way better food close by.
- Delfin Gonzalez (10/5): Hermosa estancia - Todo! Desde la atención en recepción hasta la ultima persona que nos atendió en el desayuno. La habitación super limpia, la cama muy recorfortante, los detalles de la habitación muy acogedora. La terraza con una vista increible para el amanecer. No se arrepentiran.

- Andrew (10/5): Excellent staff and beautiful place - Beautifully decorated space
- Marc (10/5): -
- Robin (9/5): The perfect stay for a solo traveler, coupe or girls trip. I would definitely stay here again if back in Mérida! - The property was well designed and the rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The location was ideal - an easy walk to Paseo de Montjeo - but on a quiet street. The staff were helpful and breakfast was very good.
- Nathan (7/5): - The aesthetic is beautiful, the smell of cedar inside the hotel from the doors is amazing.
Wonderful people at the front desk. Very helpful. Incredible, really.
Great location. 10/10 on location
Included breakfast good enough. We had the master suite with terrace and bathtub. Not enough hot water for the tub to fill with hot water more than 5”. If you like to look at tub, brilliant. If you want a hot bath, then the product feels misrepresented. Their hot water tank simply is not big enough. The tub is only floor decor or for room temperature water. Very disappointing.
The A/C is under spec’d for the room and struggles to keep the room adequately cool.
The coffee pods are an extra charge and are not refilled without request.
Room cleaning was ok, not great. Towels or bed pillows would be found unmade after cleaning.
Because the main suite door opens to the space of the main lobby, you hear noise and conversations. It woke me up. This is not a problem in any of the other rooms as they are separated by an exterior wall and patio to access.
My recommendation is to take a normal room, not the suite. The a/c will be better, the room will be quieter and you will get what you paid for and expect.
- Ferris (10/5): We would definitely stay again. - Very helpful staff. Lovely space. Great breakfast.
- Guy (10/5): -
- Afrith Rahim (10/5): This hotel will make your trip hasslefree - The customer service was top notch. Anything and everything we asked was provided. The parking was easy on the parallel street behind the hotel. The pool was regularly maintained and well kept. The breakfast menu was decent. Overall the experience was great and the mattress was amazing to sleep after some long days of sight seeings. Bathroom was small for tall persons. Hot water takes some time and water provided seems to be filtered tap.

- Keisha (9/5): An Oasis in a Hot City - The property was stunning 🤩 with a lap pool, gorgeous rooms, and good AC! I was treated wonderfully by the young woman and the front desk. She was very kind and attentive. I’m so sorry I did not write down her name. I really enjoyed the property and have no complaints.
- Hugo (9/5): Superb -
- Christopher (9/5): Superb - Beautifully restored old house. Great staff. Adults only.
- Javier (10/5): Exceptional -
- Samantha (9/5): lovely property - Lovely property, very pretty, very comfortable beds just a little further out of the main centre than i would have liked.
- Charlotte (10/5): Beautiful facility just the right distance from centro - Beautiful room and bath. Loved the outdoor seating area with round sofa and hammock! The staff was very helpful and made a special to go lunch for our very early departure. Nothing
- Irene (10/5): Exceptional -
- Donald (10/5): A lovely stay and outstanding hospitality. - Clean, comfortable, well-designed, and staff was oustanding.
- Beatrice (6/5): Lovely but could be improved design. - Lovely building and rooms, extremely comfortable bed. The bathroom design is so stupid. No one wants a clear door to the toilet! There should also be a proper door, not glass, and not a transparent (!!) curtain, for the overall bathroom. There were other smaller details missing: no bath mat for the floor, no small trash can in the bathroom, only in the toilet.
- Calvin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hannah (10/5): Best spot to stay in Merida - What a fabulous stay! We spent two nights at Mas Palomas Concept House. We were warmly greeted by staff, and shown our room. The bed was comfortable, the air conditioning good, and a lovely little pool. The whole hotel only has four rooms so you are well looked after.
You are able to get breakfast and dinner (if you want) and the sister hotel around the corner.
There is a loading bay outside to drop bags, and a private carpark to keep your car in. The staff communicate by Whatsapp if they aren't at the desk, and you are able to come and go as if its your own house.
The hotel has been done up really beautifully.
Even when we found our shower drain was blocked, the staff fixed when we went out for a walk our first evening, and we didn't have any more problems after that.
The team also recommend a fabulous restaurant in Merida, and we are so grateful for how lovely they were!
You are also only a short walk from central Merida, but just outside which means its very quiet at night. Nothing!
- Ian (9/5): The most gorgeous boutique hotel experience in Merida. - This property is astonishing. Such a beautiful boutique hotel. Our room was gorgeous with a very private and comfortable terrace. It felt like a total privilege to stay here. The staff were just wonderful. Sophie and Oliver made us feel so welcome. The location is pretty good near to the centre of town. Parking was so easy and secure. I have one tiny criticism. For such a luxurious stay please don’t penny pinch and charge extra for the inclusive breakfast coffee refill or the 2 Nespresso pods in the room. It’s a tiny thing but that’s the only reason I don’t score this place a 10. High end guests would rather you just added the $100MEX to the room charge and included those sort of things. It felt just a bit mean spirited I’m sorry to say.
- Pilar (2/5): Very poor -
- Pilar (6/5): Not as expected - The room is really nice There are a lot of details that can be improve.
Music in the lounge.
More snacks included in the price
Pool cleaner
More organized staff
- Santos (10/5): Exceptional - Love the staff they are so friendly and helpful. Love the hotel it's in a walking area to all the main stuff to see and do and it's so relaxing and peaceful.
- Davina (10/5): Exceptional hidden gem - Exceptional, by far the best hotel we’ve stayed in, hidden gem, thank you Oscar!
- Dmytro (10/5): Will recommend this place to everyone who visit Mérida - 5 rooms only boutique hotel. Fresh and clean. Beautiful design and nice quiet location close to the centre. Very friendly personnel Everything was good
- Laurencia (1/5): Bad - Nothing They charged me twice for my stay
- Skyler (10/5): Más Palomas is the only boutique hotel you should consider in Mérida - From the warm, attentive staff to Chef Pablo Luque himself, we were cared for at Más Palomas. By the end of our stay (and our tenth time in the wonderful pool), it is without a doubt the premier boutique hotel we’ve had the pleasure of staying at. In fact, its level of service and quality of amenities outdoes most hotels, period.
- Federica (7/5): Good - The house is nice, with stylish furniture. The very young staff is really nice and always ready to help your BREAKFAST! The hotel is a 5 star, but breakfast is definitely of a 1 star!
The food amount you get is extremely limited and the quality is very poor. Also, it comes from the other hotel, therefore you either have to book it in advance or you have to wait around 30/45 mins from the moment you order it in the morning. Definitely something to improve!
- Harald (7/5): Nice and expensive hotel, poor breakfast - New and very tastfully furnished hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff (thank you Oscár!) . Comfortable beds. The pool is nice to look at but two small to swim in it.
I had a very annoying experience with the breakfast that was offered in a nearby hotel from the same group. The offered American brakfast that was included in the quite expensive room rent was really spartan, one cup of coffee, a spoonful of yogurt, some granola and two thin slices of apple and eggs al gusto. I was offered another cup of coffee but to my surprise at check out I was requested to pay 40 US$ (600 MXN) for 4 extra cups of ordinary coffee!!
I wonder why at so many expensive hotels in Mexico the offered breakfast is so spartan and the hotel owners try save a few posos but at the expense of annoying their clients. Fruits and orange juice is so cheap in Mexico and at almost no cost you could satisfy your customers, why don't you do it? For me this experience made my stay much less comfortable than it would have been otherwise (and negatively impacted my rating).
- Thomas (9/5): Superb -
- Thierry (10/5): Exceptional -
- Beth (10/5): Exceptional - The room was immaculate, the staff was wonderful. Did not realize that it was so small (7 rooms?), so it felt like we had it all to ourselves. Parking was off-site down the block. It was so nice to have breakfast delivered (and delicious), but we did wait quite a while for it to arrive from the other location. Would have ordered a bit earlier if we had known.
- Melinda (7/5): It was clean and pretty but no place I’d go back too - It was beautiful and quiet No food or beverage service on site
- Spiros (9/5): Beautiful and modern - Beautiful, clean, stylish and very friendly staff. They have private parking as well. Highly recommend this place overall! Only minus is that they do not have a separate hand hels shower head in the showers, just a regular shower and sometimes the water pressure was not the best. Also, once during our 4-night stay there was not hot water coming from the shower.
- Johanna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Terrye (9/5): Comfortable but be prepared to walk a few blocks into centre . Gets your steps up! - Beautiful room - pool just there ready for a swim in the morning. Staff helpful. Great linen provided to give a comfortable sleep . A bit of a walk to the centre for restaurants and no food in this hotel. The sister hotel does good and you can order room service but a bit of a nuisance also when we needed it (ie raining) there was a long delay .
- Laura (8/5): 5 star design but not quite 5 star services - The property is stunningly beautiful. The staff were pleasant and polite. Based on the price and attention to design, you expect the same attention to services provided but that is where there is room for improvement. Upon arrival, you should get some basic information about the city, tours/experiences available, sights to see, restaurant recommendations, etc. The minibar offered only one wine/liquor option - White Zinfandel - and not the champagne listed on the menu. Also, while all the staff are pleasant, young people, they changed constantly as they work here and their sister property. And their constant rotation meant details about conversations being dropped from one person to the next. To give one example, one staff person kindly booked a tour to Uxmal and a cenote for me and suggested a box lunch for my trip. The morning of my trip, the staff person on duty had no idea about my tour, had to search for a pool towel for me to take to the cenote and there was no box lunch.
- Yann (8/5): Great place but could be improved - - Modern, charming and intimate place
- Spacious rooms - Some stuff were malfunctioning
- Most services are externalized (room service, laundry, breakfast, parking…)
- Our room got flooded with rain, most likely due to leaks in windows
- The pool is very small
- Sergio (10/5): Magic place for relax in the heart of Merida - Everything, the pool close to the suite, the overall service, the breakfast, everything was great Nothing
- Juergen (9/5): Superb -
- Elnora (10/5): I rate this experience as one of the best I’ve had while traveling. I have to add that the hotel front desk attendants w - The property was even more breathtaking in person. It was clean and the ambiance was very inviting and serene. I loved the nice little touches like the nice robes and slippers. The towels were plush! The breakfast was delicious and all that I expected. The only thing, which is not a huge deal is that there are no full length mirrors in the rooms.
- Ana (10/5): great service, beautiful place and super clean - the room and the whole vibe of the property like a dream house
