- Océane (10/5): Super séjour ! - Personnel au service des clients, Tito a été très aidant pour la réservation des taxis et une jeune femme très gentille nous a aidé pour acheter de l’eau. Le rooftop a une jolie vue sur les pyramides. Chambre avec le nécessaire pour le séjour et avec une vue sur les pyramides, très agréable. Restauration sur place très pratique avec un bon rapport qualité prix La wifi ne capte que dans les couloirs ou les lieux communs, pas dans la chambre.

The restaurant/cafe staff still has to be language friendly. I mean English communication is necessary. Rest the view from the rooftop cafe was a wow. Food at the restaurant was decent. Overall a good find. I think to be a world class hotel , or at least host international pax, its good to be have people to communicate in English, specially at the restaurant and front desk. Restaurant staff lacked it. So we had little difficulty to explain. Rest it was ok.

We spent 5 days in this wonderful hotel, and from the moment we arrived, we were amazed by its beauty, cleanliness, and the warm welcome from Tito. He escorted us to our room, which exceeded all of our expectations. The room was spacious, spotless, and beautifully decorated. Tito then took us to the rooftop and offered us the most breathtaking view I have ever seen. I won’t say too much so you can keep the surprise for yourself, but I can honestly say it was perfect. A huge thank you to Tito for his kindness, professionalism, and constant smile. Every morning, we enjoyed breakfast at the hotel, where we had everything we could wish for: croissants, fresh bread, jams, fruits, and delicious traditional Egyptian dishes. Every evening, we also had dinner at the hotel, and we would especially like to thank the restaurant team. The waiters were exceptional, and we had the pleasure of meeting Gamal, the restaurant manager. His professionalism truly impressed us. He also shared a lot of fascinating knowledge about the pyramids with us. He was incredibly welcoming, kind, attentive, and always smiling. Thank you to the Merak Pyramids Hotel for this magical stay and for the outstanding professionalism of the entire team. I 100% recommend this hotel. In my opinion, it is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in during my travels. Nothing.

Как только персонал видел, - Месторасположение хорошее, до пирамид 15 минут неспешным шагом. В номере за 5 дней пребывания никто ни разу не прибрался, несмотря на оставленную табличку. Туалетная бумага закончилась, ее просили у случайно встреченной горничной. Вода в кране просто шла какой-то непонятной струйкой, что даже зубы невозможно почистить. Завтраки скудные и одинаковые: вареное яйцо, кусочек Феты, два кусочка огурца, несколько мини сосисок и непонятная жижа (вероятно что-то чечевичное), но зато много их вкусных лепешек. Любителям кофе - возьмите хотя бы дрипы с собой, иначе будете наслаждаться растворимым нескафе

Available to access at any time, can catch breakfast, afternoon tea with sunset with stunning views of the Giza pyramids complex. From this point view you can see clearly 5/9 pyramids including the 3 major ones. Friendly and professional staff. The rooms has all the essentials, and overall clean enough even if this aspect could be slightly improved. Fue muy mal educado y pude perder mi taxi al aeropuerto. Lamentablemente eso arruinó bastante la experiencia. Por suerte mi chofer tuvo la amabilidad de esperarme. Entiendo que puede ser política de la empresa, pero no tiene justificación la forma en la que ese hombre me habló, ojalá lo saquen porque arruina al resto del staff. Además, había dejado tips para el equipo de housekeeping y lo vi guardándose el dinero que había dejado para la gente de limpieza. Lo encontré muy feo. El hombre mal educado en recepción. Pedí servicio de lavandería y me tiñeron un pantalón, quedó inutilizable.

The rooftop and restaurant offer breathtaking views. The rooms are comfortable, clean and peaceful. We had a phenomenal view of the pyramids. Breakfast was great: a varied and substantial meal. - Ivan (9/5): Pekný nový hotel s príjemným personálom, dobrým ubytovaním aj stravou v blízkosti pamiatok. - Lokalita super vzhľadom na blízkosť k GEM a pyramídam. Hotel je pekný a nový, v starej a ošarpanej časti Gízy, takže výhľad na opačnú stranu pyramíd je biedny a žalostný. Je trochu zastrčený v uličke z hlavnej cesty, preto ho prvý šofér nevedel nájsť, nie je výrazne označený na hlavnej ceste. Izby aj postele sú veľké, vankúše a paplóny pohodlné. Raňajky štandardný výber, chutné. Zariadenie ako na fotkách. Výhľad na pyramídy z terasy krásny, presne ako na fotkách. Výťah funguje. Personál príjemný a ústretový, snažia sa, aby boli zákazníci spokojní. Doa sa stále zaujímala, či nebol s niečím problém. V našom čase bola reštaurácia poloprázdna ráno aj večer. Na večeru sme si objednali 4 pizze, urobili ich úplne čerstvé a boli vynikajúce, hlavne hubová, ale čakali sme ale na nich viac ako hodinu. Matrac dosť tvrdý, ale po celodennom chodení sme sa vyspali. Hluk z hlavnej ulice (trúbenie áut) ale aj z neďalekej mešity (od 5 hod. ráno), ale je to bežná súčasť života miestnych obyvateľov a pre nás Európanov autentický a zaujímavý zážitok. Sprchy majú len fixnú veľkú sprchovaciu hlavicu, z ktorej v malej sprche strieka voda až do kúpelne. V druhej izbe bola sprcha vačšia a tento problém tam nebol ( mali sme 2 izby na 3. poschodí C4 a C5). Wifi bolo premenlivé - prvé dni bol signál len na chodbe, ďalšie dni striedavo aj v izbách. Personál nám vysvetlil, že to nie je chyba hotela. Mali sme vopred súkromne dohodnutý odvoz s česky hovoriacim sprievodcom, čo veľmi odporúčam - je to efektívnejšie a bezpečnejšie, nestratíte čas a vyhnete sa potenciálnym problémom. Hlavne jazda na aute v Káhire je riadny adrenalín, funguje iba trúbenie, žiadne značky, mimo velkého centra ani žiadne semafory, či prilby na motorkách, úzke pruhy... veľa áut je starých a obitých z častých dopravných kolízií, preto je dôležité mať spoľahlivého vodiča. Vstupenky je lepšie kúpiť vopred online, vyhnete sa radom aj sprepitnému, bez ktorého vám ani neuznajú ISIC karty pre študentov. Plavba po Níle bola tiež super. Do GEM múzea radšej skôr a najprv pozrieť Tutanchamóna, potom je veľa ľudí a dlhý rad na fotenie sa s jeho zlatou maskou. V GEM odporúčam otvorený bufet na opačnej strane vchodu, za prijateľnú cenu tam majú veľký výber chutných jedál medzinárodnej kuchyne ako aj super dezertov bez čakania na miesto alebo rezerváciu. Všetky uvedené nepodstatné nedostatky ale vyvážia neskutočne krásne pamiatky, ktoré nikde inde neuvidíte. Takže s troškou adrenalínu to pre nás bolo jedno krásne dobrodružstvo.

L’hôtel était en fait à 3km des pyramides mais c’est donc à 20 minutes à pieds et une belle vue ! Juste corriger cela sur le site car on a dû payer 2 taxis.

There are also several nice restaurants nearby. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The breakfast offered a huge variety of options — almost too many to try everything! It was really impressive. The only small downside was the falafel, which was stored in containers and became a bit soggy. Aside from that, everything was excellent, and I had a great stay.

If you are not a religious Muslim, I would strongly advise against staying at this hotel. It is located right next to a mosque, and the loudspeaker is directed toward the hotel. You will be woken up at 5:30 am and hear calls to prayer throughout the day, with the evening one being especially long. I was overcharged almost three times the normal rate when I tried to extend my stay for one more night at the reception. If you decide to stay here, book through Booking.com, as the prices there are much more reasonable.

A special thank you to Dua who was amazing — welcoming, very helpful and incredibly kind. She really went out of her way to make us feel comfortable. When we noticed cleanliness issues in the room, including hair on the sheets, she quickly arranged a room change and followed up to make sure we were okay. The restaurant staff during breakfast were exceptional — always smiling, polite, and attentive, creating a very welcoming atmosphere and making each morning enjoyable. However, cleanliness needs improvement, as this was disappointing at first. Thankfully, the excellent service from the staff helped make up for it.

- Christian (8/5): Hôtel que je peux recommander pour votre séjour au Caire ! - L’hôtel est très bien situé comparé à d’autres car il est en retrait de la rue principale qui est très bruyante. Le site de Gyseh est à 15’ à pieds. La propreté est très bien, la chambre avec lit King size et spa était confortable et spacieuse, identique aux photos. La vue sur les pyramides depuis la chambre et sur la terrasse était superbe. Le personnel est très agréable Il est très utile de prendre Uber pour se déplacer partout dans Le Caire depuis l’hôtel, en moyenne une course Uber coûte entre 3 et 5€, ne pas prendre les taxis, les voitures sont pourries et les chauffeurs demandes 2 à 3 fois le prix d’Uber. (Attention certains chauffeurs Uber demandent du cash en plus de la course, il faut refuser et annuler la course car la plupart des chauffeurs ne demandent rien en plus). Vous pouvez aller dîner dans un très bon resto italien « il Dome Italian »qui est à 3´ en voiture de l’hôtel. (Il n’y a pas beaucoup de resto à côté de l’hôtel). Nous avons passé 1 semaine au Caire, il y a beaucoup de choses à faire et visiter. Nous avons vu à quel point c’est pauvre mais il n’y a aucun problème de sécurité, nous n’avons pas eu un seul soucis malgré le fait qu’on se soit laisser perdre dans des endroits isolés des touristes, pour voir comment la population vit. En résumé, vous pouvez séjourner au Mérak Hôtel, vous ne serez pas déçu Nous avons réservé l’hôtel depuis booking et payé à notre arrivée, seulement nous avons été étonné que l’hôtel prenne environ 6% en plus du montant du séjour (taxes supplémentaires pour l’hôtel) Le petit déjeuner était très moyen

Rooftop con vista sulle piramidi top per le colazioni e il Capodanno (serata di festa molto carina). Organizzazione dell escursione proposta dalla receptionist assolutamente pessima, poca chiarezza e accordi non rispettati. Tra cui il fatto di aver scoperto, dopo aver pagato la cifra considerevole, che saremmo stati aggregati ad altre persone perché la nostra guida non era potuta esserci.

We had to ask several times for towels because they were not provided in the room. At checkout, they tried to charge us double the rate we had booked through Booking, and fortunately we noticed before paying. On top of that, the staff repeatedly pressured us to leave a review of at least 9 out of 10, which is completely inappropriate. The hotel is clearly well below an acceptable standard and does not deserve a positive rating.

- Antonin (8/5): Des bonnes et moins bonne surprises... - L'expérience n'avait pas très bien commencé : après avoir payé (+3% si utilisation du réseau Visa - pas de paiement Booking), on m'informe que notre chambre n'est pas prête. Nous avons dû attendre 2 heures pour qu'on nous propose de nous surclasser (la réceptionniste a tout de même essayé de nous faire payer le surclassement). Finalement on nous a attribué une chambre avec bain à remous (qui ne fonctionnait pas) et vue sur les pyramides dans laquelle le personnel a ajouté 2 lits supplémentaires pour nos enfants (achetés pour l'occasion). Cependant, je dois admettre que, passé cette première impression plutôt désagréable, l'ensemble de notre séjour s'est bien déroulé grâce notamment à une belle séance de rattrapage de Tito qui a été aux petits soins avec nous tout le reste du séjour : il nous a accompagné dans restaurant où nous souhaitions aller pour nous aider pour la traduction et afin de payer le juste prix, nous à aider pour les 2 ou 3 courses alimentaires dans la rue, et a été très bon conseiller.
- John (5/5): - The staff were immensely friendly, and the facilities were modern. Lovely view from the rooftop. The hotel staff were very kind. I booked a double twin room, but was given a single room with no window, and then a replacement room with just one double bed. The noise was exceptionally bad with drilling (lots of DIY going on), the toilet must have had an issue as it the sound of water continuously was apparent. I decided not to stay and booked a different hotel. The staff were so lovely that I didn’t expect or want a refund.
