Guest Reviews
- Gayle (9/5): Lovely cottage - well located as a launch pad into visiting the peaks - We have just returned from a fantastic few days stay. A lovely clean comfortable cottage. Well stocked with everything we needed for cooking. Its well located for drives into Matlock, Bakewell, Buxton and lots of walking routes nearby too. We recommend a chinese from New China in Matlock, really good. Also the meals and local ales at The Three Stags Head was great, its a 15 minute walk down the hill from the cottage, its dark walking back so consider that but there are paths all the way. Nothing to dislike about the cottage or the break. On street parking can be hit or miss - either lucky and right outside or further down the street. But thats just one of those things.

- Callum (9/5): - Lovely decor, good host and well equipped. Mirror in bathroom too high, couldn't use!
- James (9/5): Fantastic and charming cottage in a beautiful spot. Look forward to returning again๐ - Lovely quaint, clean and comfortable cottage close to Matlock and lots of other nice places to visit in the peaks. Cottage has everything you need for a short stay and Ben was helpful dealing with any queries ๐ There are no shops within close walking distance so if you are arriving late, make sure you have the essentials!

- Dyan (10/5): West View Cottage - a must stay! - I've been back from holiday for over a month and I still think of West View cottage every single day! The place has so much going for it - comfort, value, location. It's a picture perfect old English cottage down a lane in a quaint village but poshed out with all the modern comforts you could want. It's bathroom was so pleasantly heated, I hated to go home! I can't recommend this place enough. Us three old ladies could have happily stayed a month there together and never tired of the place or it's nearby paths. Thank you for a wonderful stay - I hope to return! Everything was perfect.
- Lisa (8/5): Lovely cosy cottage. - Decor was lovely, soft furnishing comfy Shower was cold after a couple of minutes, host was helpful over email but a phone number would be better for these kind of issues.
Could have done with a dust.
Was really hard to find, directions need updating.
- Mariam (8/5): - The location of the cottage is so lovely and the drive up there was a gorgeous bonus in the sunshine. The house was equipped as expected with some tea/coffee and enough plates/mugs/cutlery to get by. The host also left us some lovely biscuits and was super responsive when we had questions.
- Aniela (10/5): Exceptional cottage. - The cottage was clean and very well presented . Would definitely stay there again as it's in a great location and cottage itself was great . Quiet location but lots to do nearby . A little hard to find as there is a jasmine cottage down the road so was a little confusing. The post code and road covers a larger area . The coordinates are the best to find the place so very grateful that was also supplied .

- Parmit (9/5): - Cottage was clean and tidy and to a very good standard. The children loved the cottage which is tucked away from the main road. There are some amazing views all around. There are board games to play which was great for a rainy day.
Matlock is a 10 minute drive which we spent a lot of our time exploring. Bakewell is about 15 minute drive which was lovely to go back to again and Chatsworth House was about 20 minute drive.
There is off street parking or parking in the square which is less than a minute walk to the cottage.
Ben the host was very helpful. Responded to any messages we sent quickly. The welcome book was sent digitally before our arrival and there is a hard copy at the cottage.
Overall a great stay which the family loved.
- kim (10/5): Beautiful, stylish and cosey - An amazingly styled home from home cottage. Very spacious with everything you could possibly need, even down to a fan in both bedrooms which was appreciated considering we were here during the heatwave!
The location is so quiet and peaceful with no light pollution so the stars and full moon were on full show!
Can not fault our stay x
- Stella (10/5): Exceptional - A very clean and beautifully decorated home. Very cosy and comfortable. We arrived whilst the weather was very hot. The host sent us some fans which were very much appreciated! The location is also very quiet and lovely.
- Franzel (9/5): Superb - Lovely home in a beautiful setting. It had everything that we needed for a weekend stay. Comfortable, easy access, well equipped. Thanks!
- Siobhan (10/5): Absolutely wonderful. Charming throughout. - Very well decorated , great location , comfortable sofas and beds . Lovely home ! Just a broken tap but the owners were aware and we tried to use to kitchen tap instead .
