• Sekao (10/5): - The rooms are beautiful and clean. The hotel is beautiful and the staff are nothing short of amazing. The odour/ cigarette smoke from the smoking rooms seeped into our room. As a non-smoker that was very uncomfortable. Very poor sound proofing between the conjoined room next to ours. Felt like we had no privacy.

• Sheida Dunn (5/5): - The service was great. Look and feel lovely. Accommodation location is great. Private parking for guests was excellent Our shower leaked badly. Water flowed out the bath into the passage. We used towels to control the flow. The bathroom has a dam oder from the continuous leak from the shower. This should have been sorted out and not identified during a stay. We had already for us not to move to another room. The shower only goes to warm. It's winter. This was not exceptable.

• McManus (3/5): - The staff were friendly and very polite. Food was good and service friendly. Room M13 was dark and without sunlight. The hotel advertises rooms from R600 so if this room at almost double that price is an indication, pity those at a lower rate. Misleading is the best way to describe their facilities on the Booking.com site. Could not recommend this hotel to anyone.

• Navin (7/5): Great budget Hotel - The property was well located for my needs. Very clean and comfortable. Parking onsite helped. For a budget hotel, it just worked. Shower was clean and neat with good water pressure . Noice levels from the road were very bad. No sound dampening . So you heard every car go by. I am not a big person and I found shower area small.

Then the lady at the bar was very unfriendly and had a real sour face She made a person feel very unwelcome, and the breakfast was not great.

• Anneke (8/5): Loved the stayed! Would surely go back! - I really appreciated the relaxed atmosphere and overall comfort of the Umhlanga hotel. The service was warm and attentive, which made the stay feel welcoming. I also enjoyed the clean, modern facilities and the convenient location close to shops and restaurants. I didn’t like that the room didn’t have an ocean view, which made the stay feel a bit less special. There were also a few small issues with noise from loud neighbours that took away from the experience. The kitchen in the unit could do with more kitchen utensils.

The noise level - Location of the hotel is great The inability of stuff to follow up on requests by guests. The noise level from the co-joining room and other rooms. Cleaning of the room happens after 3pm when a guest wants to relax. There are no desks for someone trying to work

• Sithe (8/5): - Esthetically pleasing, lovely location. Value for money Construction noise in the morning. The windows were open at night and very high for me to close. The shower also leaked into the room, but we managed to clean.
