- Elham (4/5): Very clean apartment, but the nonstop construction noise, poor location for taxis, missing amenities - The bed and overall cleanliness were good. The apartment felt new and clean, and there is a supermarket just a few steps away which was convenient. It’s also relatively close to Dubai Mall, so taxi rides there were short and inexpensive. The biggest issue was the constant construction noise from surrounding buildings. It was loud day and night, and we barely managed proper sleep during our stay. The location was also inconvenient for taxis. Drivers often didn’t want to come to the area or took a long time, so we regularly had to walk some distance just to get picked up. There are also no nearby cafés or restaurants within walking distance, which made things difficult if you just wanted something quick to eat. We booked this apartment mainly because of the balcony shown in the photos (with two chairs and a table). However, on arrival there was only a small table and no chairs. After emailing to request them, the two chairs were only delivered on the fourth day of our five day stay, which meant we couldn’t use the balcony for most of our visit. On top of that, there was no view (just road and construction), and the noise made sitting outside unpleasant anyway. It felt disappointing to pay extra for a balcony that we barely got to use. Amenities were poorly managed. Shampoo and body wash were empty or nearly finished when we arrived. We emailed asking for refills, but only toilet roll was provided instead. We also didn’t like that guests are expected to take their own rubbish through the building to a disposal area and handle cleaning on departure. Overall, while the apartment itself was clean, the noise, location, lack of nearby facilities, missing amenities, and unusable balcony really affected our stay.
