• Ehpardi (7/5): Bof, bof - Guesthouse près de la plage ou l'on ne peut pas trop s'y baigner (méduses et saletés), proche de la mosquée pour les pratiquants. Beaucoup de street food et un 2 bons restaurants Andrew's et Knif & fork. Le bruit dans la rue et des hauts parleurs prevoir les bouchons d'oreilles. La plage avec de l'eau trouble et envahi par les bars-restaurants.

• kader (4/5): Total waste. - The staf were friendly.but the staff can't do much about it to solve my issues. I order single bed and double bed and in the end I got a double bed room...the management should have cek all this. I have wasted my money paid for single bed /double bed. So the staff arrange next day for the single bed/double bed room.. but I wasted my money on the double bed room And plus the toilet has odour smell of cockroach infestation. The problem is the place had bad smell on the toilet especially cockroach infestation. Not clean and this made disappointed. The management of the property should look on to this get a proper contractor to identify this issues...this will cause health issues and might get a Court kes on this...please owner of guest house...don't think about making money ..please keep the place clean so future customer will come by .. I hope rayyan guest house should pay me back

• Emma (7/5): - Really nice staff, perfect for a short stay. Close to shops and restaurants and only a shprt walk from the bars and entertainment. Is on a busy road but actually not that noise at night. There is a lot of development going on in the area and it is recommended that you don't swim in the sea.
• Harry (5/5): - Smart TV Unfortunately big let down- room was dirty, we dropped the remote and had to move the bed only to find dead cockroaches and a layer of dirt under the bed. On first night the AC broke down and was dripping all over the bed and floor (we were moved into a different room while it was getting fixed which was a plus). The beddings were very old and worn down, pillows were as thin as paper. Feels like a damp basement.
• Wayne (2/5): Way too noisy - Close to the beach and some shops The mosque is across the road and it is very loud until 11pm at night and early in the morning. I booked for two nights but only stayed one because of the noise. The beach is badly eroded so its not even worth visiting.

• Olesia (10/5): - I really enjoyed my stay at Ray Yan Guesthouse. The location in Batu Ferringhi is very convenient, close to the beach, restaurants and local shops. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. The room was simple but comfortable, and it was a good option for travelers looking for a budget place to stay in Penang. I also liked the colorful entrance and travel photos – it gives the place a nice character. One small thing was that there was no drinking water provided in the room. It would be nice if guests could have bottled water available, especially after a long trip or on hot days in Penang.
• Alison (10/5): 2 nights at the beach. - Location excellent for short stay - short walk beach, 7-11, night food market, small 2 beds triple room with own bath and aircon (no window). Access to hot and cold filtered water. Cheapest rates, excellent for price range ie clean budget homestay with friendly owner.

• Bernard (8/5): - L'accueil de Alkan ,la climatisation ne marchait pas il m'a changé de chambre La mosquée en face 11h le soir 5h le matin pendant 3/4h avec des hauts parleurs à fond ,je plaint d'ailleurs le grand hotel à côté, la plage est complètement abîmée par l'érosion, il faut aller assez loin pour se baigner

• Olaf (6/5): - Die Lage ist zentral, Supermärkte, Restaurants und Strand in der Nähe. AC, TV, Wasser und Küche waren alt, haben aber prima funktioniert. Das Zimmer hatte kein Fenster. Die Terrasse lag direkt an der viel befahrenen Straße. Der Vermieter hat beim Einchecken eine Kaution von 40 MYR verlangt, die wir beim Auschecken zurückbekommen sollten. Beim Auschecken behauptete er, das sei die Touristenabgabe, die jeder Tourist bezahlen müsse. Erst als ich Druck machte und mich mit Booking.com verbinden wollte, da darüber alle Gebühren bezahlt wurden, hat er eingelenkt und das Geld zurückgegeben. Ansonsten war er freundlich.

• Jay (6/5): cheap and cheerful - The man at the reception desk was very polite and helped us in and out with the bags and wouldn’t let us do it which was nice. he was very helpful. the place was extremely close to all the things we needed such as beach shops and restaurants. the place was a little smaller than it looked before booking. Unfortunately our AC worked, but was pointing down to one of the beds mainly which caused it to be more cold there which wasn’t ideal for a family room. the bed pillows were hard so not the best sleep & the bathroom/toilet had a weird smell.
