Guest Reviews
- Jordan (1/5): Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing experience from start to finish. Check-in instructions -
- Robert (1/5): Really poor comms from the Agent - Location was great for us, the room was clean, a bit soulless but that was fine. If you enjoy spending the week before you stay worrying about where you are going to sleep and on the day, expecting that you will not have a room for the night because the agent doesn't respond to any messages .... Then go ahead and book this place ... If you want a relaxed visit .... Book somewhere else

- Antotrips (7/5): -
- Shanane (6/5): - A more affordable place then moat in Oxford, room was comfortable and clean, a private bathroom with your own key outside of the room
- Charlie (4/5): Convenient location but not much more - Its location was very convenient. It was quite dirty. The glasses were filthy, the bed already had a lot of hair on the sheets, there was something sticky on the carpet and even had a few bugs in the room and paint coming off the walls everywhere. The host was not very communicative at all when trying to get information to check in. The photos of the room were different to the room we had with significantly less space.
- Morten (4/5): -
- Matthew (5/5): - incredible location and great price.
- Sacchi (6/5): -
- Aaron (4/5): This place really doesn’t care about you. - Comfortable bed and good location Absolutely terrible communication. I sent the staff a message on the app and on their cell phone and in 5 days no one responded. Washing machine listed was out of order. No wifi.
- Toyne (5/5): - Location Noisy - both inside & outside
Broken bathroom door
Room door did not seem very secure
- Sara (8/5): - The location was great! Handy walking distance from central Oxford. My room's bathroom was good. It was very convenient to have a big fridge in the kitchen. The communal kitchen was not inviting at all, felt more like a messy student kitchen. Having the kitchen be cleaner and nicer would have made the overall experience way better.
- Felipe (7/5): crammed, but convenient - location, price walkup, tiny place
- Zick (5/5): Just met my needs, easy ways to improve the experience missed. - The location is excellent very close to key Oxford sights. There was cobwebs in the room, the chair in the room had pain stains all over and is very squeaky. Due to the position of the room any other guest has to pass the door to get to their room making it noisy.

- Carol (8/5): Great location, easy to get to city centre. - Location excellent
Comfortable beds
Quiet and safe
Good value for money for two nights Overall impression OK. A bit more imagination would make this a really attractive property.
- Richard (10/5): Comfortable and clean - I spontaneously booked this ensuite hours before checking in. The self check-in process was very easy. The host emails you a combination code to your key lock at the front door. The room was perfect, I would gladly stay there again. The bathroom came with electric towel rack. The bed was big comfortable. You do have to walk 10 minutes to Central Oxford, but the town is so lovely I enjoyed the walks. Besides, there are nice bars and grocery stores in my street anyway No complaints. I never got locked outside the building, although there were times the key struggled to turn in the door lock. You just need to attempt to turn the key a few times before you successfully unlock the door.
- Christopher (7/5): Good spot for one or two nights stay - Good location very close to the university It’s very basic- just a bed and en suite. Suited me for one night
- Christopher (7/5): -
- Muhammad Faheem (5/5): -
- Frances (7/5): Ok for short stay but wouldn’t want to stay there any longer - Near to city No television. No coffee in the room, had to ask for it. Mess from someone’s shoes on the carpet by the window. No chair to sit on.
- Chan Ka Ming (8/5): - Location The hassles in picking up the keys.
- Giuseppe (5/5): Basic - Perfect location to visit Oxford. It Is in walking distance to the heart of Oxford. The room we stayed in was very small, no wardrobe or chest od drawers.
- Ganiyu Ode (1/5): I am very dissatisfied. - Nothing!!! They refused to turn on the heater. I was very cold throughout the night. Besides, the room, kitchen, and bathroom were in different locations as against what was in the pictures. I thought it was suppose to ne ensuite. The bed was also making unpleasant sound when sleeping on it. The washing machine, oven, and dryer were out of use!
- Patricia Ann (9/5): Very satisfactory. - Breakfast not included. I wanted a comfortable bed in a good location and that's what I got.
- Judith (8/5): - Excellent location for visiting university departments and an easy walk from the railway station.
Felt private, secure and reasonably quiet.
Good ensuite bathroom.
Helpful messages from host and good access to keys made check-in and -out easy. The weather had turned colder again and my room was barely warm enough, but it wasn't possible to turn on the heating. Plenty of warm bedding, though.

- Marie (1/5): Do not stay here, so disappointed we left after 2 minutes - Good location but nothing more to like about this property. Where do I start, I’m so disappointed I’ve never had anything like before firstly the owner failed to contact us right up until last minute I should have known this was a red flag! On entering the property bin bags from the bottom to the top of the stairs, we headed up the stairs in anticipation instantly worried about the apartment we had booked as the pictures had changed since booking, we finally got to our one bed apartment with kitchen, and bathroom we discovered a room which consisted of a double bed and a bathroom it was a bed sit and a bad one at that and if I could post smells you would have left this review 5 minutes ago! It was awful! The place was not fit for purpose, stains in the sheeting, poor decor, rubbish everywhere we had to leave immediately. Sadly the host did not respond to either me or booking.com and we had to find and alternate which ended up being fantastic.
- Oluwakemi (9/5): - Location was great easy access to multiple places planned. Toilet though not in the room was very clean and not too far from the room and still private not shared. Price worth it Didn't like the fact that the instructions stated room number and acces to keys will be advised before 3pm check in time. However had to call her for this past 4pm. Great response was very fast and detailed regardless
- Margaret (8/5): Very pleasant - Breakfast not Included. Good location. Bathroom clean but smelled of mold.
- Božena (10/5): -
- Dowell (8/5): Really quaint and well placed spot - The location was great and it was perfectly sized and priced for one person There was an initial confusion about rooms but it was easily resolved
- Nicola (7/5): - Posizione ottima per stazione e centro.
Letto comodo
- Matteo Bortolini (8/5): Cozy room in central Oxford, very good - The location of this room is perfect, the neighborhood of Jericho is super.
- jsb_xoxo (10/5): very good - exactly as expected, functional, clean, in a good area, mostly quiet and easy to navigate walls are a bit thin so can hear people shuffling about but it wasn’t a huge problem for me
- Simon_Shaw (6/5): Moderately disappointing. - The facilities were perfectly adequate, clean and comfortable.
The communal kitchen was a bonus - very handy since breakfast was not provided. The word "Ensuite" should not be used when the bathroom (shower room) is down a public corridor from the room.
"Private shower room" is the phrase I would expect for this arrangement.
There were containers for shower gel and shampoo in the shower which were empty.
The room was right next to the communal kitchen, and the spring on the kitchen door made it slam loudly when used late at night and early in the morning. At least a sign saying "please close the door quietly" might have helped.
"City Views" were promised. Certainly not from my room which had a view of an air conditioning unit and a brick wall -see pic.
Overall this did not seem like good value for money, even accepting that Oxford is an expensive destination.
- stephen (10/5): It was a great value for the money.great location and comfortable - It was perfect for a short stay. Everything was as it was stated in the listing. Comfortable and clean, well placed and in a good area.
- Julia (3/5): - Super Lage.
- Federica (8/5): -
- Jaskirit (7/5): -
- Marthe (7/5): Comfortable place to sleep. - The location was great for where I wanted to be. Jericho is lovely and a bit removed from the most touristy areas. The room was fine and had everything I need, including a kettle. My favourite thing was the bed which was very comfortable. Useful with access to fridge in the kitchen. The kitchen I had access to was not very clean and I had to wash up dishes before using them.
- Johannes (9/5): -
- Jim (7/5): - Only a 15 min walk to the city centre Having a separate shower room.
- Priyesh (7/5): Good - Please fix a soap dispenser in shower and provide something to dry feet when stepping out of the shower as it gets wet/slippery.
- Thomas (1/5): Comfortable bed but lacks an en-suite bathroom - Falsely advertised as having an en-suite but the bathroom is not en-suite, it is a separate room down the corridor having to pass other guests in your towel. No en-suite provided.

- Straford (7/5): - It was in an easy location and had a nice bed. The staff in the shop below was very accomodating when I had trouble checking in early and was very friendly and polite. For a normal arrival time, check in would be very easy. The condition of the room (walls) and the bathroom was underwhelming. Didn't properly match the photos and the shower head wasn't the best but still alright. 50 quid is about as far as I am willing to pay for this accom.
- Marilyn (5/5): - Location was good, facility was reasonably clean. website description was misleading. Walk up three flights on narrow stairs was unexpected. Communication with staff was poor, did not send entry code to text as requested, did not respond to checkout text.
- Jonathan (7/5): - Access v simple, perfect location. Communication in advance was a little difficult, but staff v understanding.
- Jamie (8/5): Comfortable and pleasing - Location was great, bed was comfortable and was able to easily check ourselves in or out without any extra hassle Everything was good enough for my one nights stay
- Anika (6/5): - It could have been cleaner.

- silvia (7/5): Poor place - Location ok. Shower with enough water and hot. The property isn’t in very good condition. I could listen every step of others guests.
- Subrahmanyam (6/5): -
- Simon (7/5): -
- Fahad (9/5): -
- Daniel (9/5): -
- Alasdair (9/5): - Very quiet, so I was able to have a restful and peaceful time.
- Alan Osvaldo (8/5): - Everything was clean and comfy, location was not that far from the city centre The room temperature took a while to warm up, but I was new in how the A/C works in UK so maybe i didn't know how to use it
- torquil (8/5): - good location, quiet and comfortable bathrrom too far away!
- Chiara (8/5): Basic but consistent - It's consistent and relatively cheap, it's got everything you need for a work trip. It could be less basic
- Jayanta Chowdhuri (7/5): - Had initial issues finding the keys. We visited the shop on the ground floor of the hotel and one person helped us out Our room was on the third floor with no elivvator at the property. The stairs were narrow and steep. Had a tough time getting to and from the room with heavy suitcases.
- Adam (7/5): - Black fluffs in bed, noisy neighbours
- Rosie (7/5): -
- Jake (8/5): -
- Ben (9/5): Perfect - Clean tidy and great value for money, lovely breakfast with friendly staff Everything
- Paul (7/5): - Large shared kitchen. Comfortable bed. Stairs
- Dene (3/5): Very disappointing. Poor value for money. - The location was convenient for the city centre and close to local shops and pubs. We arrived at 3.35pm, but the host hadn't given us the room number or key code as promised prior to arrival. The host was called and asked for the information, but this wasn't actually provided until 30 minutes after we had arrived at the property. The room (Room 2) was extremely basic, but seemed clean, especially the en suite. However, there was no catch on the bathroom door, the coffee facilities were on a table with no adjacent power point, so the kettle needed moving across the room and stood on the carpet in order to plug it in and a huge crack had been filled in across one wall, but no attempt had been made to hide the repair with any form of decoration. We paid £78 for this room and feel that £50 would have represented far better value for money, but the host needs to be far more efficient at sharing the room number and key code, as waiting over 30 minutes outside the property is not acceptable.
- Angela (7/5): -
- Sophia (3/5): Unresponsive property manager, no one there to help if things aren’t specified as in booking - The location and it was clean I booked a en-suite room and didn’t get an en-suite room. When I used the provided mobile number to ask to change my room, I didn’t get any reply via text nor via WhatsApp.
I had also reached out to property before my stay to ask whether I could check in earlier than 3pm. I only received an automatic reply which didn’t address my question.
- Mauro (8/5): -
- andrea (5/5): - It was close to who we were visiting. It was advertised as on suite but the bathroom was down a communal hallway with a separate lock. So in order to use it during the night, I had to get dressed, unlock 2 doors, then lock 2 doors and get undressed again.
- Oliver (6/5): If you're just looking for an inexpensive place to lay your head, you could do much worse. - Nice location, good price, helpful host . Mo downstairs was lovely and helpful. Shower broken. Hot water intermittent. Bedroom window didn't shut. Light stains on sheets and carpets (felt a bit unclean), very noisy from other rooms
- Gillian (5/5): Was adequate for a one night stay. Wouldn’t like to be there for more than that - Near the city centre Room very small, bathroom not en-suite. Didn’t like having to leave the room to go to the bathroom during the night
- Kinga (8/5): Simple room but in great location in the heart of Oxford. good value for money. - Great location in the heart of Oxford. Comfortable bed and clean bathroom. Good value for money. The window was open when we arrived and it was really difficult to close. It was very stiff and there was a strom outside. Luckily my husband is quite strong and managed to close it. I would suggest to look into this for future guests.
- Holly (4/5): Good location but owner not responsive - The location was good.
Price was good. Had to call and text twice to get the access code after the agreed check in time. Calls were not answered and I had emailed about parking which had no response earlier in the week. Washing machine out of order I had bought a load. Some rubbish in the room when I arrived so I don’t know if it was even cleaned before.
- Charlie (10/5): - Excellent room Nothing the room was nice
- Elinor (8/5): Good price and convenient for central Oxford - Convenient location for central Oxford.
- Macario (10/5): -
- erika (8/5): - I like it's centric, close to the train station and most of universities, private bathroom It was too expensive for a night, but it was OK, not very big,
- Dan (6/5): -
- Alan Flowers (9/5): Centrally located comfortable and clean room - Centrally located comfortable and clean room. Simple to use key safe entry system, with code provided in time and correctly by owner. Facilities as expected with good Wi-Fi, which enabledabsence of TV in the offer to be replaced by viewing on a good lap-top. Everything was OK, as advertised and as expected.
- Veronica (6/5): A well located room for the price, but communication needs to be clearer and faster from the owner. - Great location. Private room with own locked door and private bathroom. Nice powerful hot shower. Poor communication regarding when details about how to access the property would be sent. Began to think the property I'd booked wasn't legitimate and contacted Booking.com with that concern. Still hadn't heard on the morning of the afternoon I was meant to check in. Had to chase owner a lot to contact me with the details, which put me on edge amidst a very busy home life.
Drain smell coming from bathroom.
- Gaukhar (1/5): -
- OLIVIER (8/5): - Pratique,assez central et bon rapport qualité /prix
- Lisa (5/5): -
- Fi (7/5): -
- Emilia (7/5): Angenehm - Sehr süßes kleines Zimmer mit allem was man braucht.
