• Selene (10/5): Great base to discover the city! - The best part of this experience is chatting with the home manager and take his word for recommendations on restaurants and things to do! I wish I had more time to go to all the places V recommended! The house is a historical home, a gem in a very nice area of SF! Nothing, wish I had longer time to enjoy the area and the home!
• Ahmad (9/5): - Location was pretty good and classic SF along the Cable Car line. It was clean and comfortable, classic charm. Certain rules surprised me. Things that you won't get at most stays elsewhere - shoes off at the door, no in-room dining.

• Serge (8/5): Excellent moment - Emplacement rêvé, quartier chic, dans une belle maison de ville, chambre énorme, splendide, impeccable avec jolie véranda. Reçu par le sympathique "V" très amical et serviable, il connaît parce qu'il y a été de dizaines d'adresses précieuses de restaurant pour petits déjeuners, lunch et dîner ! Et connaît des tas de coins secrets de la ville qu'aucun touriste ne verra jamais ! Tout bon !

• Elijah (4/5): Great location. Host is instrusive - Great location. Bed was comfortable and room was clean. The host, V, was very intrusive in telling me where to go eat. On the 2nd day he seemed to become frustrated when I wasn't visiting the places he was telling me to go to. Eventually he said that the restaurants he's recommending are owned by friends of his and that's when I understood what was going on. The house is a bit creaky- not necessarily a bad thing unless the host can hear when you are coming and going and wants to confront you to tell you where you have to eat. This happened every time I was leaving and everytime except for once when returning. It also could've used a cup in the bedroom for water. The shower was also very small and very slick which could be a hazard.

The room was very clean and cozy, and the host was extremely friendly and gave many great recommendations. It could be difficult to find parking unless you are willing to pay for the garages.
• Judy (9/5): A younger me would have stayed forever! - This is a charming old San Francisco property that is meticulously maintained by V. It is filled with character and history and V is a wealth of information about all that is wonderful about San Francisco. For us in our 80s the beautiful 5 flights of stairs to the room were challenging.
• Ana (4/5): Charming property but not convenient. - The bedroom and bathroom linens were high quality. The host V was very attentive. Unfortunately, our stay at this hotel fell short of expectations. While we understand the charm of older buildings, the condition of the room made it difficult to relax—every slight movement on the bed produced loud creaking sounds, and the bathroom was so small that my husband couldn’t even fit in the shower comfortably. To make matters worse, we were surprised to find out upon arrival that the bathroom was shared, which had not been communicated beforehand. Our room was located on the top floor, requiring us to carry our luggage up three steep flights of stairs—an exhausting and inconvenient start to our stay. Privacy was also a concern, as one of the large windows lacked a curtain entirely, leaving us feeling exposed to anyone outside. Overall, despite any initial appeal the property might have had, the practical issues made our experience disappointing.

In Valentino, an incredible host - we ended up going for biryani and wine together where he told me his amazing life story, all the beautiful, great and good people he knows in LA, London elsewhere - felt a bit like Truman Capote's Breakfast at Tiffany's (the far superior book!). Beatiful cable cars rattling along down on the street below. Extremely memorable and I would stay here again in a heartbeat (in fact, I've just booked another 2 nights after being away for a few days!)

Antonio is the best host in the entire San Francisco. Antonio is one of the most interesting person I've ever met. Antonio became a very good friend of mine during this short stay. Antonio is the most knowledgeable person about San Francisco and his recommendations made my visit in San Francisco even more pleasant. Hollywood celebrities are very good friend of Antonio and they visit this place from time to time. Definitely recommend listening to the stories from Antonio. Everything was perfect.
