- Eve (5/5): Extremely small room, although spotlessly clean. - The room was spotlessly clean, the staff were very good. The room was the smallest we have ever stayed in. We had to keep moving things around to move around the room and there was no space for our luggage. We booked it because it was a Best Western and were so underwhelmed.

- Stephen (8/5): Comfortable room, well located hotel and great breakfast. - The room was well appointed and very comfortable. There wasn't much of a view as we were at the back of the hotel looking out onto a street of hotels and boarding houses and their car parks. However, the Clarence Gardens was well located for access to the North Bay and the town centre. Breakfast was exceptional! If we book to stay again we will request a sea view.

- Trevor (10/5): An excellent hotel with staff who were genuinely friendly and helpful. Stunning views. - The room was comfortable, kept immaculately clean and re-stocked daily. Even the windows were cleaned whilst I was there which helped to enjoy the exceptional sea view even more! The breakfast buffet was really excellent with a good selection of high quality food and both cold and hot sections were topped up constantly. All of the hotel staff were genuinely friendly and it was handy to have reception staff there to help and answer questions. The lounge has excellent views over the North Bay and the small bar was fairly well stocked with great, friendly service. To sum-up; a very well run hotel which I would happily return to.

- John (6/5): I was travelling for work booked and arrived late for work. should have paid more for a better room - Nice clean room ,reception. area nice and clean, desk manned early a.m. I was located on the 3rd floor with no lift , low ceiling height in parts of the room ,view in to other houses.

Room was too small. Book to stay for 2 nights and only stayed 1 night. Weather was awful and Scarborough Town was really run down so will not be wanting to come back.

- David (9/5): It was a really nice stay and we would definitely use visit this hotel again. - The view from the sea facing rooms is great with the castle in clear view too. The hotel was very clean and staff were excellent. The radiator in the room is small and takes a long time to heat the room.

Clean comfortable rooms, First night "cosy" room was very small but changed to large room with Bay Window for second night which was fantastic. Restaurant, at basement level, was a real surprise, spacious and excellent breakfast available. Lounge was lovely and as well as the availability of meals, 'Light Bites' were available (e.g. Soup and amazingly well served sandwiches) which are excellent and great value for money. Parking availability outside is a good benefit. "Cosy" room very small.

The cosy double room was a good size and nice, but the single was extremely small. It would have been better to book bigger rooms and pay a bit more. We were disappointed that the restaurant wasn't open in the evening but there are some nice places to eat nearby.

There was plenty of tea/coffee. The shower had shampoo, conditioner and soap. We will be back again... hopefully it will be just as good There was nothing we didn't like

- 627bb6aff6fb724a8c7a346665a133fb (10/5): An excellent choice, great accommodation with lovely attentive staff. - The hotel has been refurbished recently and accommodation, decor, carpets, cleanliness etc is excellent. We liked the location which was quiet and with car parking either on the road or in the hotel car park at the rear. Buffet breakfast was superb as was the evening meal; the chef does a brilliant job. All staff were very friendly and helpful. There was absolutely nothing to dislike.

The breakfast was very good with lots of choice and the young man serving sorted some veggie sausages for us. Big shout out to Rachel when booking who sorted us a bigger room to accommodate our dogs. Will definitely stay again when visiting Scarborough and would highly recommend. Nothing comes to mind.

I am very particular about cleanliness and this exceeded my expectations. The decor and style of the room was superb, I love the bath in the window such a treat. The beds were so clean, well made and very comfortable. Honestly couldn’t fault it. The location was fantastic the view was breathtaking. The breakfast was wonderful and exceptional service. Nothing I couldn’t fault the hotel, anyone that can fault this hotel is crazy!

Location is fantastic, lovely views and parking was easy. Curtains were very hard to close/open, some noise from other parts of the hotel (although I'm a very light sleeper!), a little bit of a deeper clean in room would have made it excellent.
