It's about an hour from the airport, so if you were wanting to be close to the airport it's not ideal - in saying this, if you plan accordingly, it's not bad. More for if proximity to the airport is something you consider highly.

• Lisa (8/5): - The hotel is in a great location that is central to many tourist activities, as well as great food options. Our host was super lovely and helpful. It is a striking building especially in comparison to the surroundings, and the unit was comfortable and clean. Very comfortable bed. Great rooftop patio! The only major issue (and the reason for an 8 vs. a higher grade) we had was the noise from the street as we were in a street-facing room. We needed noise cancelling headphones with white noise to drown it out - ear plugs (which were provided) weren't enough. Otherwise, everything was lovely.

Pour la petite histoire : nous n’avons pas pris d’argent local à l’aéroport pour ne pas perdre de temps vue le retard de l’avion, mais le taxi ne prenant pas la carte bancaire…c’est l’hôtelier qui nous a avancé le montant jusqu’au lendemain ! Pas de petit déjeuner, mais c’était prévu et il y a de quoi prendre un café dans la chambre. Logement très petit mais parfaitement agencé

Roof space was a lovely space to relax and enjoy the sun going down over the city or a nighttime beer. Coffee shop downstairs made wonderful coffee. A helpful list of recommendations was shared on arrival, and individual recommendations also kindly shared. The city is easily accessible on foot, by taxi or by public transport from the property. Na Tanao is an architectural highlight in a cool neighborhood in the heart of Bangkok. Palace, museums, temples, restaurants and MRT station in convenient walking distance. We loved everything: our room, bed, bathroom and the roof terrace plus the small cafe on the ground floor. Of course, there is some street noise but what do you expect in the heart of that vibrant city? We are looking forward and can’t wait to book Na Tanao 1969 again for our next trip to Bangkok…. • Christoph (1/5): Confirmed reservation, no room on arrival - Despite having a confirmed reservation made months in advance, we were told upon arrival that the hotel was fully booked. The host blamed Booking.com and claimed he never received the reservation. We showed proof of our communication through Booking.com, including messages about our arrival time, but this was dismissed with the explanation that anyone could have written those messages. The stay was already fully paid. We asked for a short written confirmation of the double booking to help with the refund process, but this was refused multiple times. Unfortunately, there was no apology and no effort to resolve the situation. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this property.

• Victor (10/5): Family Feeling Boutique Hotel - The staff were friendly and the room was spacious and clean. I really enjoyed the aesthetics of this hotel. The location is close to key tourist attractions which is convenient. The location isn't very accessible via public transit. The closest MRT station is a 15 minute walk away.

Pleins de belles choses à voir autour (temples, balade...). La vue de la chambre était incroyable, RAS à ce sujet. Honnêtement, le bruit est difficilement oubliable ! Ils laisse des boules quiès (et je dors de manière générale avec des boules quiès) mais la première nuit, nous avons vraiment eu du mal à dormir. Après c'est vrai que c'est dans une artère passante et nous aurions du y penser mais on ne pensait pas que ce serait si fort... À bien garder en tête ! Je pense que c'est un hôtel très chouette pour un début de séjour mais pour une fin de séjour ou pour du repos, pas certaine...

It was our honeymoon and the staff decorated the room and provided a bottle of wine to celebrate! Very friendly and helpful owner. Nothing! Just note, the bathroom only has a curtain to separate (no door) and only a tub (no shower). Wasn’t a problem for us, but wanted to let others know!

Die Lage ist top, die Zimmer äusserst sauber, das Bett super bequem und das Personal super zuvorkommend, unkompliziert und professionell. Auch das im Hotel liegende winzige Cafe ist top! Wir haben uns direkt wohl gefühlt! Das einzige, was uns gestört hat war der Lärm. Der Lärm ist echt unausweichlich in diesem Hotel, da das Zimmer direkt auf die vielbefahrene Strasse blickt. Selbst mit Oropax oder Airpods drangen der Lärm der Motoren durch. Also erholenden Schlaf findet man hier nicht - aber trotzdem ist das Hotel empfehlenswert wenn man eh viel unterwegs ist in Bangkok!

The entire team is extremely hospitable and pro active in assisting with absolutely anything you may need. Views from the street-facing rooms are pretty, though interior rooms are more quiet, so really depends on your preference. The coffee shop downstairs offers the highest quality and diverse options I've found anywhere in the world. Overall, I felt the price was high relative to what's offered. Excellent for a first stop in BKK. Booking says bathrobes and slippers are included, but they are not.

The design is incredible, it feels like stepping into a chic vintage boutique away from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok. The real standout for me was the owners and their team; they genuinely care about their guests. I asked for a small birthday sign for my partner, and they went above and beyond to make it special! Will 100% be staying here when we return to Bangkok <3 P.S. The coffee downstairs is an added bonus, easily in my top 3 coffees ever!

Lots of great food in walking distance (ask the staff to send you their street food guide for Google Maps). Set up for the shower isn’t great (you have to hold the shower head the whole time), and I couldn’t get enough hot water to run the bath. A lot of road noise at night, but unless you’re a really light sleeper you should be fine (and if not just book one of the rooms at the rear of the property).

The young man greeted me upon my arrival, helped me with my bags, and watched my bags while I was out exploring before my room was ready (I arrived early). The room was just as depicted in the photos and the overall ambiance of the venue was exquisite!! Not close to any of the public transit. It’s a 20 minute walk to the rail/subway lines. The bath water did not get cold. I visited during the month of June where the weather was brutally hot. It would have been nice to have been able to take a cold shower.

Would definitely be back - If you really value your privacy or feeling like the hotel is there only for you while vacationing, Na Tanao will really give you that. Location is also very central, and even if the property is located right beside the main road, I dont think the main road gets busy enough that it feels crowded during the day (or maybe that's just because there was a non-working national holiday during our stay). Linn, the receptionist, is also very accommodating and stayed back a little bit later since we had to check in and out quite later than their usual schedule. The floorboards could become quite noisy if you walk with heavy feet. As a fellow guest, you just have to be aware of that since the property is quite quiet everywhere to protect the sanity of all the other guests. I don't think you should come here with toddlers either as the stairs are quite steep and you can easily hear what's going on upstairs/downstairs should things get rowdy with other guests. Luckily, during our stay, we only noticed the sound from upstairs during the day.

• Ruth (7/5): We were comfortable and the stay felt safe. - The best thing about this hotel is the friendly, kind staff. The facility is new which is nice, and the location is within walking distance of many things. We had to sit the tub to use the shower and there was no counter space in the bathroom.
• Steve (10/5): Great stay in central Bangkok - Wonderful, boutique hotel in the middle of Bangkok. Great location near the palace and other points of interest with lots of restaurants around. The owner and staff are just super friendly and helpful.
