Guest Reviews
- Clare (8/5): - Comfy beds, perfect quiet location, and it was lovely that the hosts had left us sufficient wood to light a cosy fire on arrival.

- Stephanie (10/5): - Very comfortable everything you need Nothing

- Emma (10/5): Quiet, tasteful, very clean with easy access to A1 - We were visiting Burghley Horse Trials. Really easy access just a few minutes from the A1 but it was a small village location so very peaceful. Huge gardens, tastefully decorated and lots of attention to detail. If I had to be super picky, the sofa wasn’t very comfortable as the back was very low but the young ones didn’t seem bothered lol
- Tompazos (9/5): Great but short! - Location very picturesque , tidy garden , comfortable beds and fluffy duvets.
- Sophie (8/5): One night stopover for family with teen, tween and dogs. Perfect place with nice country walk and close to local towns. - The garden was fantastic, secure for the dogs to run around and beds were comfy. We loved the walk down to the Isaac Newton Obelisk. The rug was a bit of a trip hazard near the oven so I moved it whilst cooking.

- Lee (1/5): Did Not Stay, completely messed up our short time away. No refund given for agro , so be aware - On arrival it was rather unkept outside (grass not cut, dead plants in pots, weeds every where, slabs by back door broken/missing dangerous)
On entering the house it was fusty, cob webs in lots of areas, lacking attention to detail.
No Blind or Curtains up large kitchen window also downstairs loo with clear glass.
We messaged the owner via Booking.com to say we would not be staying, we got in our car very disappointed and left, within 10 minutes of leaving the Owner rang calling my Husband a Liar on the phone 3 times with a very abusive tone, we are not confrontational so hung up. We pulled over and messaged Booking .com so they also had the messages she had sent with the content on file.
She told us she had "Worked her Arse Off getting it clean".
We all have different levels of cleanliness and satisfaction but this did not meet with ours at all.
She is not prepared to return any monies what so ever.
- Jessica (10/5): Exceptional -
- Richard (10/5): Exceptional -
- Callum (10/5): Lovely place in a nice location - lovely place, very clean and comfortable. cannot fault it at all. Underfloor heating downstairs was a nice touch Netflix on the TV wouldn’t load
- Ian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paul (9/5): Would definitely return again one day. Excellent property - Lovely and comfortable and quiet location.
Great wood burner and free logs etc and very cosy
Great location for the A1.
Bed very comfortable. If i am being really really picky the only thing i found missing was a shelf for toiletries in the shower and the kitchen was missing cooking oil, butter and some ketchup would have been great.
- Wendy (10/5): Fantastic -
- Nick (10/5): Perfect accommodation. Couldn’t have been better for what we needed. Thanks - Great property in a lovely location
- John (9/5): Very comfortable.. definitely return - Lovely place and great value
- Andrea (9/5): Enjoyed staying in such a lovely home and location. - Beautiful cottage. Cosy, clean and comfortable. Lovely grounds and location too, very peaceful. Enjoyed our visit and would stay again. All lovely. The wet room shower was a little impractical for us, but didn’t effect how much we enjoyed the stay.
- Alison (9/5): Alex the host sent clear instructions on accessing the property before arrival and everything was clean and in good orde - Lovely cottage in quiet, pretty village. Decorated stylishly but simply, which I liked. Plenty of space. The only thing I can think of is that there was no washing up brush! Other than that it was perfect!
- Kieran (10/5): Exceptional -
- James (10/5): Exceptional - Brilliant Nothing maybe a bigger tv in living room
- Connee (9/5): Beautiful cottage, beautiful area and helpful host - Great views
Beautiful building
Very spacious
Good location Deeper cleaning is needed such rooms having cobwebs / dust
- Alex (8/5): Very good - Lovely little property, spotlessly clean, nice quiet location. Nice touches like kitchen basics in the fridge.
- Ewa (10/5): Wonderful! - Great location with an easy access to motorway. The cottage was super comfortable with a superb equipment and lovely stocked kitchen cupboards! Would definitely stay again with a family. Thank you.
- Marj (7/5): Disappointed by our welcome as no postcode was given and although I rang the number given, no response at all. Very diff - Warm, clean and inviting Very remote - no local places to eat.
- Susan (1/5): At the moment not at all happy but hopefully you can sort this problem - Spacious, lovely location Couldn’t get the heating to work, sink in bathroom blocked , bed in second bedroom not made up when needed, bad communication with the host as it was double booked, eventually spoke to her who advised us to go to a local pub to stay for the night which we did , the host called the day after to say she booked somewhere but it was to late as we had already took her direction and booked in the bed and breakfast, costing me £120 for the night and £60 for food that I had to buy, now it looks as though she is unwilling to reimburse us for sat 30th sept and she now won’t communicate with me, hopefully booking .com will be able to sort out the financial loss to me
- Anthony (10/5): Great stay , will be back - Excellent property , everything we needed Really well organised , great layout . Detailed instructions on every topic .
- Belinda (10/5): Great place for a relaxing break - The property was set in a beautiful location . It was very tastefully decorated and had everything you needed………and more !
