Communication upon arrival was wonderful - we knew where to go and how to access the hotel after the front desk closed for the evening. We had a view of the ocean and the activities of the boardwalk and it was lovely! Our room was small but also, big enough, and everything was pristinely clean. My husband had the breakfast in the morning, which he enjoyed. I wouldn't change a thing!

Le personnel ultra sympathique et très avenant. Le petit déjeuner salé/sucré/fruits frais. La literie ultra confortable. La place de parking. Je recommande cet hôtel familial et authentique. Hâte d'y retourner 😊

- Margarita (6/5): Not worth the price - Perfectly located at the beach. The staff was friendly. 1) It was very noisy. People were yelling at the hotel bar located in front (beach entry) until 24h both nights (the bar is supposed to be open only until 22h). When I am on vacation, I prefer to decide myself when I go to sleep. I didn't expect this when I made the booking. 2) I took a "small" room, which is not a problem in principle, however, you need to think about minimum comfort. There is no space to put the suitcase, and no space to put the clothes (except a few hangers). So, in order to take clothes, we opened the suitcase in front of the door, and had to close the suitcase and put it up every time we needed to go in and out of the room. 3) I received 2 reminders to do a "check-in" before arriving. I did not. It didn't change anything, the room was ready and they just gave us the key. Why put stress on people? Is it an airplane ride? Why do I have to "check-in"? Why do I have to receive 4 or 5 messages from Booking? 4) And one last thing that all hotels should be asked to do - please allow for breakfast until 11h, and check-out until 12h. We pay to rest. If you put breakfast by 10h, it means being there at 9h30, which means getting up at 9h. In particular hotels at holiday locations. For a 4-star hotel it really needs improving.

However, this attribute alone is insufficient to offset the array of deficits experienced during the stay. Regrettably, I must express my dissatisfaction with my recent stay at this hotel, which falls short of the standards typically associated with a four-star establishment. In my extensive experience traveling and staying at numerous hotels, this property does not meet the expected criteria and instead resembles that of a one-star hotel. The breakfast provided was notably disappointing, with offerings that did not appear fresh. Specifically, the reheating of eggs in a microwave is indicative of a lack of attention to quality and guest satisfaction. The condition of the rooms was suboptimal, lacking the quality and comfort one anticipates. Additionally, the air conditioning system was non-functional, which significantly compromised the overall comfort of the stay. The observed deficiency in fundamental customer service skills among the staff is concerning. It is particularly startling that they do not engage in basic, yet crucial, interactions, such as inquiring about the quality of a guest’s stay during the checkout process. This oversight indicates potential gaps in staff training or a lack of emphasis on the importance of guest feedback within the hotel's operational procedures. It is perplexing how this hotel could be rated highly by guests, given the numerous areas in need of improvement.

- Jos (7/5): Piepkleine Mansarde - Ligging vlak aan de dijk. Alles zeer netjes. De ontdekking van de Opaalkust (Cap Gris Nez, Cap Blanc Nez, Calais, enz..) De kamer was - voor een 4-sterrenhotel - ècht niet goed. We hadden dan wel voor een standaardkamer gekozen, maar die zijn meestal luxueus in een 4-sterren. Nu kregen we een piepkleine mansarde - waar je nauwelijks kon keren of draaien - en waar je op een stoel moest gaan staan om door de dakvenster alleen het uiteinde van het dak te zien. Vreemd was ook dat er in Duinkerke zoveel horeca nog gesloten was in de Paasvakantie.

La chambre au top, propre, belle salle de bain, grande télévision Les clients qui vont a leur chambre dans un état de chahut, hurlant dans le couloir. Au matin quand on aopelle l’ascenseur et qu’il ne vient pas car la femme de chambre la bloquer. Se sont des petits désagréments qui je suis sur ne reviendront pas.

- Sandra (10/5): A welcoming and comfortable property in an excellent location. I would highly recommend. - We arrived after a long day and I immediately felt warm and comfortable. It was easy to park and the young mam on reception was helpful and friendly. The room was very thoughtfully designed to a high standard and we both had a good sleep as the bed was very comfortable. Also, very close to the Dunes Fort Museum which is excellent.

The standard room had EVERYTHING- a fabulous view, Nespresso machine, glasses, nice coffee cups, great shower, bathrobes, slippers, very very comfy bed, big towel, fridge, lots of sensibly placed mirrors ….. EVERYTHING. The staff were so welcoming and friendly and the car park was an added plus . Sadly we didn’t have time to stay for breakfast but it looked great!! We will be back for longer. - lovely hotel in lovely little seaside town . Thank you nothing! Too short a stay
