- michelle (5/5): - Nice furnishings and styling. Sheets were clean beds comfortable. House is warm even in winter. Did not provide a cot even though it was requested. We did notify on arrival of no cot and we were told they did not notice the request and did not provide one. Feedback has been given on cleanliness of property but have not received any follow up message. The single beds were far too high for a toddler and stairs very steep for young children. Dishes had not been washed on arrival the plates in cupboard were full of water and food still visible on them. No Dishwasher it was in the back garden. Back garden was full of animal faeces. On street parking was a challenge as so many cars already parked on road we had to park in neighbouring streets.
- Ella-Jay (8/5): Very few quibbles, a nicely furnished house for a weekend stay. - House was clean, well presented, and in a very good spot for our needs. The amenities were functional and easy to use. Only two issues stuck through our stay. The beds, while well furnished with pillows and cushions, were equipped with incredibly firm mattresses. Due to this, the majority of our party did not sleep well over the three nights of our stay and we're left sorry fter active days out. A decent mattress topper on each bed would go a long way to increasing comfort. The other issue we had was not being able to use the main TV in the front room due to the volume being far too loud and the remote not letting us change it, even after replacing batteries and trying remotes to the other TVs in the house. When I contacted the owners (via WhatsApp, as requested) I was asked to send a photo of the remote which I did. My follow up messages were left on read and I received no further replies either during our stay or after we checked out. While not a huge issue for us (we were out all day and for two of the three evenings we spent there) the lack of care in communication over this issue left us with concerns that we would be accommodated if anything else went wrong with the house on our trip. A message to say they weren't sure how to fix the issue and to apologise for the inconvenience would have gone a long way to making our party feel a little more secure during our stay.
