- Shane (10/5): Lovely quiet and comfortable place to stay hosted by a really kind and friendly lady - Very clean and tidy with a super comfortable bed

- Kelly-marie (3/5): Lovely if you aren't worried about security - Very clean and tidy I feel bad for writing this as the lady seems lovely on the phone - BUT - access into property wasn't secure, rooms didnt have locks on doors, bathroom is shared with other occupant. We had to go through the owners lounge to find the kitchen and seriously felt like we were invading her home in doing so.
The wardrobe in room was full of stuff and felt lived in, and a male occupant was arriving late that night. I was staying with my 10 year old daughter and we just didn't feel safe. We ended up staying at the Travel Lodge down the road.
- Jantolka36 (9/5): Superb - Quiet None
- Hayward (10/5): Great location, great host, perfect facilities pretty quiet - Great sized property, fantastic facilities and didn’t get to speak to the host much but she was lovely too. Nothing we didn’t like, it was a fantastic stay.
- John (10/5): Exceptional - Owner was a lovely person and accommodating I had person issues I had to leave early
- Doris (4/5): Far from what it says in the description - The bed was comfortable, shower was good, it was clean and it was good value compared to other accommodation When we entered the flat it was very small and there were five doors, all looking the same. We had been informed by email that our bedroom was the first door on the right and the bathroom was opposite. In the listing are also photos of a kitchen and coffee and tea making facilities, but I had to call the owner to find out which door it was. The room was like in the photo, bare and simple, but clean. The mirror was broken which made it feel tatty.
However, the accommodation was not at all what it said in the description.
Description:
1) a private bathroom - we did not have to use public toilets, but the bathroom was shared.
2) Bathtub - I was looking forward to a bath, but there was no plug, so only the shower was usable.
3) Towels - all we were given was one small hand towel between the 2 of us. It was in a drawer; we had to look for it.
4) Private entrance - as soon as we got in we heard somebody snore in the flat, so obviously the entrance was shared. There was no key to lock our bedroom. Had I been on my own I would have felt very uncomfortable.
I did not meet the people in the other bedroom but it seems to have been a couple that lived in the flat.
Had I known what to expect I would not have been so disappointed.
- Harry (7/5): Good -
- Lydia (10/5): Amazing experience - The room was Clean, easy to locate, the bed was comfy. The bathroom was clean as well. The host is lovely and comprehensive.
- Shetwadha (10/5): Amazing - Great hospitality
- Shetwadha (10/5): Exceptional -
- Griefy (9/5): Cheapest accommodation available. - Very convenient stop over at a reasonable price.
It's hard to save money these days when all you want is a place to rest while travelling.
This accommodation was clean and easy to access. Parking was plentiful and location wise just off the A12 north of the city. The simplicity ~ key available on arrival and a comfortable clean bed.
What more can you ask for such a reasonable price. I was even cheeky and went to the Premier Inns all you can eat breakfast In the morning 5 min away (£10).
Still worked out better value than any B&B option on the market.
