Guest Reviews
- paul (8/5): Nice place - Clean tidy good location Nothing
- nigel (10/5): Just Excellent. - Ideal location which was close to the town centre. The house had plenty of room, had all of the necessary facilities and was clean and tidy. Lovely views from the rear rooms. There was easy walking access to the rural valley behind. Efficient and friendly communication with the owner. We would visit again. Unnecessary question! There were no problems.
- Gill (10/5): Exceptional - Spacious and well located
- Victoria (10/5): Wonderful - Nice and cosy and location Not enough mirrors in bedrooms .
- Terry (8/5): A great base - Communication with the owner was excellent, very friendly and helpful. The house is just a short, uphill walk from Holmfirth centre. The property was clean and comfortable, very light, with views from the back onto woods. There are loads of excellent pubs, cafes, and restaurants within walking distance. Holmfirth is worth exploring, particularly the steep ginnels and lanes off the msin roads. A very high step into the property, a quirk of the local architecture. Parking can get tricky, with limited availability on the road outside.
- Linda (8/5): Lovely Cottage, great location, attentive host. Highly recommend - Well what can I say… We had a great weekend stay at Weavers Cottage. I was initially hesitant when I first booked the accommodation because I missed a message from the owner, Ben (silly me) advising our dog had to stay in the kitchen or the downstairs hallway but I’m glad I missed the message because we could have missed out on a great stay. Ben was attentive, checked we were all ok on arrival and let me know he was available if we needed anything. We brought our dog’s bed with us and she was super comfy. She settled really easily and wasn’t barky at all. We were literally out most of the time but that’s because it’s in such a great location we could just wonder into town. The first night I booked the Pickled Pheasant which was a bit of a longer walk (that I anticipated, oops ha ha) but there were pubs along the way with super friendly people. I would recommend the food and hospitality. We ate at Lou & Joe’s burger restaurant the second night which was lovely. everywhere we ate and drank were super dog friendly and (Lou & Joe’s restaurant is literally at the end of the accomodation road). The accommodation was lovely, nice and warm, super comfy beds with lovely linen, great shower, lovely view. If you come out Weavers Cottage and turn left you will notice yards away a Public Footpath sign, turn left there and under the cottage is a path to a good walk for pooch. We got parked no issue and on the second morning when we returned from breakfast nabbed a space right on the doorstep. As I mentioned already there are many places to drink and eat literally up the road. Everyone is so super friendly. I would highly recommend Weavers Cottage and Ben was great. We hope to come back Having to come home lol
