- Lee (10/5): A lovely budget friendly bunkhouse - Beautiful rural location, a great stop for the night on the way north. The bed was very comfortable, very clean place with showers and toilets, kitchen facilities and indoor and outdoor seating. I met some lovely people, especially Sandra the owner who cooked me a lovely cooked breakfast in the morning for a very reasonable price. I can't recommend the place enough Can't think of anything!
- Daisy (8/5): -
- walker ricky (10/5): - Very welcoming on arrival, the lady was lovely and warm. I had the place to myself it was clean and in a beautiful setting. Had a great rest and sleep. Nothing.
- Andrzej (8/5): decent - Peace, quietness, location, views, facilities The upper beds are too low to sit down on the lower one
- René (6/5): Prijs/kwaliteit in overeenstemming. - Het uitzicht en de rust. Sober en de hygiene was matig maar in verhouding tot de prijs.
- Didier (9/5): -
- Andrew (10/5): Special - Historic family owned farm with amazing views over the Solway Firth, loads of character and very quiet at night. Nothing negative

- Gerhard H- (8/5): - If you've got time and like to enjoy your hiking tour on Hadrian's Wall Path the Hillside Farm is well worth staying there. The hospitality of the owner was outstanding. She helped me in so many things. Thank you so much again. Gerhard

- Adam (10/5): Amazing - will definitely be back - Sandra was the best host for our group, dorm rooms, with clean facilities, and great cooked breakfast
- Krishnan P (9/5): Property in the farm land and we enjoyed as a group. - Dave is cool and great guy. We checked in late due to traffic and other issues but he still waited for us and their hospitality is amazing.
- Michelle (10/5): Excellent value for money and lovely family run the youth hostel. Excellent views and rooms comfort - The family run hostel is run by mother and son and they are so friendly and welcoming.
The hostel is such a lovely place to stay and really good value for money. I would definitely go again the views where absolutely stunning. Myself and partner had the whole hostel to ourselves and it made it really relaxing stay. Nothing at all it was lovely
- John (10/5): A very pleasant stay - Lovely location between hills and coast. Breakfast was good value
- Pierce (8/5): -
- Cameron (10/5): Sandra was a wonderful host and helped me with my bike alongside a few nice chats which go a long way. - How spacious it was alongside the view out to the estuary
- Philip (10/5): - Wonderful! Farmhouse setting, well-appointed dormitory with effectively almost ensuite shower and loo.
Good lounge/ mess room downstairs. Totally in tune with a Walker's needs. I arrived by car, but I do know there's a bus stop nearby on the cycle route and the buses are reasonably frequent.
We had a wonderful host who went out of her way to make us welcome. It was fun interacting with the other younger guests who are doing their various walking Conquests. Everything was just as it should be. First class place.
- Ayfer (10/5): - nice clean place, lovely owner
Cycle route 72 is a wide & open road to access the property
- Jimi (8/5): - Working farm, pleasant welcome, hot shower.
- Richard (10/5): -
This place was completely empty when I was there and the owners were super nice to me sharing things like how Sandra was making me breakfast and gave me a jacket for when I went to Hadrian's Wall. They are a wonderful family with a 'bunk barn' that is very good to visit.
- Sheila (10/5): A peace of heaven in a farm - The beautiful people that managed are literally angels . Thank you for making me feel soo welcome and at home s

- William (9/5): The property is loverly. Does exactly what we needed it for. Sandra was very helpful and there was nothing more we neede - It’s rustic and earthy and fits very well with the surrounding area. The beds are comfy. The shower is good. The staff (Sandra) is very northern, helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay again. It a lot of options to get into Carlisle without a car.
