Guest Reviews
- Guest (8/5): - Kind staff, easy to navigate, very comfortable rooms, good lighting, great bathroom!! The oven is practically useless I don’t have a clue how to cook in something the size of a microwave
- Lee (5/5): reasonable - location bed was the worst ive slept in
- Matthew (3/5): A few positives but would not stay again - The room was clean and well equipped. Staff very friendly and helpful - blonde lady who checked me in very nice and efficient The main issue with this place is the ridiculous amount of information they harvest for no apparent reason. After reserving a rooom using booking.com, I then had to fill in numerous details and upload ID to their system. The information requested was similar to filling in an esta for US travel authorisation. It was way over the top considering this accommodation is student halls of residence! I travel for work every week and on no occasion have I had to disclose as much information as this - it made me uneasy. The room I had was clean and was an en-suite, which was good. The kitchen which I had to venture into because there was no bin in my room was filthy, smelly and full of loads of stuff. Perhaps I was unlucky but my mattress was very uncomfortable. Everystudent also lets student accommodation over the summer and although a bit rough round the edges I preferred that.
- Lidia (10/5): Top marks. Thank you! - everything!
- Thomas (3/5): Would not recommend - Took a long time to get into the property to collect key as it had a security lock and no door bell.
Toilet was filthy
Empty shower bottles left over by previous occupant in shower
Bed was uncomfortable along with bedding
- Guillaume (8/5): Spacious room, but comfort missing - The room itself was genuinely spacious, with plenty of storage and a fantastic view. It felt bright and airy, and I really appreciated having a kettle in the room – a nice touch that made it easy to enjoy a cup of tea. Overall, it had everything you might need for a short stay. Unfortunately, the mattress was extremely thin, and as soon as you lie down, you can feel the springs or some kind of structure underneath – it’s really uncomfortable. Honestly, even a dog at home would probably have a softer bed. It’s also a shame that there was no cup provided in the room, especially as there was a kettle; having to go to the shared kitchen (which was in quite a state, with rubbish and mess everywhere) was really inconvenient.
The towels, although new and seemingly clean, left a lot of white residue on the skin, probably because they hadn’t been properly rinsed or used much before. This made them quite unpleasant to use, especially on your face or more sensitive areas.
Finally, I was disappointed by the communication. I messaged several times on the day of my arrival asking for check-in details, since you’re supposed to receive them 24 hours before, but I either didn’t get a reply or received generic responses that didn’t actually answer my questions. This really let the experience down.
- Ym (9/5): Good value for family visiting their child who is studying in Southampton. - It is where my child stay during her study I stayed during the summer, unfortunately there is no air conditioning in the room, so it’s very hot in the afternoon.
- Tomas (7/5): Good -
- Anonymous (9/5): Superb -
- Ng (10/5): Planning to return. Hope to return. -
- Christian (7/5): Good -
- Daniel (8/5): Very good - Great location and value for money The room had a kettle but no mugs, a little unfortunate
