• Lyr (10/5): Perfect hostel - I had such a GREAT experience staying at Xelva and kept coming back after every trip I took around Chiapas because it genuinely felt like home. The hostel is brand new, and you can really feel it in every detail. Everything is modern, beautiful, functional, and incredibly clean. The beds are comfy, towels are fluffy, and all the shared spaces are super nice. There are two lovely terraces, a shared kitchen, and plenty of areas to relax or hang out. The location is also perfect. It’s right on the most central street in San Cristóbal, but just a couple of minutes away from all the noise and hecticness, so you’re close to everything while still being able to relax and sleep quietly. I stayed both in a private room and in the dorms, and both were excellent. The dorms are really well designed, with lots of privacy and personal space. What really makes this place special is the team, especially JP who was so kind and nice, and always happy to help with everything. I honestly can’t recommend this place enough <3

• Deivid (10/5): Best choice in San Cristóbal. Quite and comfy. - Everything was wonderful. After over 2 weeks in Mexico, so far best hostel. Maximum 4 person per room. Can open window for ventilation at night. Huge luggage storage. Nice private showers. Kitchen lacks utensils and other necessities (like in many Mexico hostels). If you plan cooking all the time, might be challenging.

• Wim v.d. Welle (7/5): Nice place to stay and work - Goede locatie en goede prijs kwaliteit verhouding. Leuke indeling met goede wifi. Fijne ruime kamer om te werken. We hadden de familiekamer. Deze kamer ruikt muf/vochtig. Één van de bedden, de lagere, was doorgezakt. Er zou een badkamer zijn maar het was alleen een wc. Voor het ontbijt mag je 2 sneetjes brood met jam. Boter was op en ook 3 dagen geen thee.

• Noélia (8/5): - Gentillesse du personnel. Sanitaires communs propres. Douche chaude 24h/24. Chaque fois que quelqu'un passe dans le couloir, la lumière s'allume et illumine la chambre puisqu'il n'y a pas de rideaux. La lumière du jour au petit matin nous réveille également en l'absence de ces rideaux. Il n'y a pas de crochets ou autre pour suspendre notre linge de bain ou veste (quelques crochets au mur ne feraient pas de mal). Mauvaise isolation de la chambre avec les parties communes. Les wc sont propres, mais manquent d'intimité (il serait bien de mettre une porte fermée du bas jusqu'en haut pour entrer dans l'espace où il y a 3 wc). Le petit-déjeuner = 2 pains carrés avec une confiture et du café à gogo.
• Estelle (10/5): Juste PARFAIT !!! Venez et profitez ! - Tout! La gentillesse du personnel, la propreté, l’hostel est plus qu’abordable situé en plein centre ville. L’ambiance et la décoration est top ! Une terrasse avec superbe vue ! Nous y sommes restés que 2 nuits mais nous y serions bien restés plus longtemps ! On recommande à 1000000% Les portes des toilettes sont un peu transparentes…
• Vanille (10/5): 100% recommandé - Établissement très propre, neuf et absolument abordable! Je recommande 100% si vous passez par San Cristobal de las Casas. Nous avons pu très facilement allonger notre séjour. Mention spéciale pour Jorge à l’accueil!
• Robin (8/5): Great place to chill out away from the noisy tourist area - The staff were really kind & helpful. It is a new, modern hostel with fluffy towels & super comfortable beds. Location is a short walk from town centre. Female dorm has a window. The light comes on outside every time someone walks past, shining directly on the x 2 bunks - interrupting your sleep! They need to put a dark curtain on the window.

• Sebastian (4/5): Unsere schlechteste Unterkunft in Mexico - Preis Das angegeben kostenlose Frühstück ist quasi nicht vorhanden. Nur auf Nachfrage konnte man sich selbst Toast mit Marmelade aus einer Plastiktüte beschmieren. Zimmer roch modrig. Privates Badezimmer hatte keine Dusche. Zimmer ist sehr dunkel und hat nur ein kleines Fenster in den bedachten Innenhof. Wasser aus dem Trinkwasserspender ist nicht empfehlenswert. Die gute Gesamtbewertung der Unterkunft war ein Hauptgrund für unsere Buchung. Diese ist unserer Meinung nach jedoch überhaupt nicht gerechtfertigt.

• Javier (7/5): Buen alojamiento buena situación - Al ser así nuevo está todo muy bien conservado, Los ruidos que hay de recepción y la zona de entrada con la puerta a las primeras habitaciones, vas al baño por la noche y todas las luces se encienden automáticas. El desayuno incluido deja mucho que desear respecto a otros hostel que lo ofrecen también, aquí te dejan una bolsa con pan y otra con mermelada y ya está.
• Ed-Yeremai (10/5): - Xelva Hostel es genial: sus instalaciones son nuevas y están en perfecto estado, brindando comodidad y cercanía. La ubicación es muy buena, a unos pasos del andador Guadalupe, el kiosco, y la plaza de la Paz. Cuentan con una agencia de viajes en el mismo lugar. Lo mejor es la amabilidad de su personal. Sin duda, un excelente alojamiento.

• Kouske (10/5): - 書いている時点ではかなり新しい施設で本当に綺麗でした。またタオルがついてくる、お湯は出る、共用スペースは広い。セントロから少し遠いがあまり用事なければ問題なし。部屋も綺麗で静かで1日いて休むのにもいい。キッチンもある。朝食はシンプル、コーヒーはついてる。英語も通じて色々と助けてくれました。 100MXN前後(時期による)のでコスパめちゃいいです！

• Kat (10/5): Happy stay at Xelva - I really enjoyed my stay at Xelva hostel. When I was there it wasn't busy but I liked that it was quiet. However, a few friendly faces to say hi to, like Jorge the manager, who was always ready to help and provide assistance. The hostel is a bit further out of town but it's good for walking and not too far. A quiet area with some good places to eat nearby and also let's you experience another part of San Cristóbal. It's quite cold in the evenings in SC in January but you are given a duvet, blankets and a sheet. I slept cosy and comfortably every night with these. it's a comfortable bed with curtains. The hostel is pretty new and because of that has great facilities, hot water and good WiFi! It also has a nice view from the balcony and free coffee pretty much all day! I would definitely stay again. The breakfast is simple, just bread & jam which I didn't eat. I think it would be nice to be able to make your own. A cover for the duvet would be nice too.

Everything is clean, well organized and thoughtfully designed, the beds are very comfortable, and the staff is genuinely kind and attentive. Es muy bonito, extremadamente limpio y bien organizado. La experiencia se siente más como la de un hotel que la de un hostel. Las camas son muy cómodas, los armarios son grandes y con llave, lo que da mucha seguridad. Todo estaba siempre limpio, incluidos los baños. El personal es increíble: personas amables, educadas y con muy buena energía. Tienen una sala de coworking, que para mí fue esencial, con internet estable y buena. También fue muy fácil organizar tours con ellos, a precios justos. Además, cuentan con una biblioteca interesante y el desayuno es agradable. Relación calidad-precio: excelente. Muy accesible para todo lo que ofrecen. Sin duda volvería y lo recomiendo totalmente.
