Guest Reviews
- Oscar_Lopez (6/5): Solo si no hay más opciones. - No incluye desayuno.
- William (8/5): Love the place and all the employees! - No breakfast included! They should included it! Need to include breakfast! New owners! Staying there 30 years, breakfast always included! It's a biggie!
- Giulia (9/5): Recommended - We had a great one week holiday, the place is very beautiful, nice beach, swimming pool and rooms. The food at the beach restaurant is very good and staff is friendly. Rooms are big and comfortable. It is very well located in puerto aventuras. We were surprised by lack of staff at reception, multipla cases there was no one. Rooms are overall good but they can have some refurbishment, it is not a 4 star for European standards , but it’s overall very good.
I would advise to add a kettle in each room and put a plastic rug in each shower to avoid slipping (super slippery!)
The beach club is open to external people so expected a lot of people on weekends.
- John (5/5): - Location facilities The day manager he was ignorant
- Reyes B Martha (9/5): -
- Caroline (2/5): Bruits incessants hôtel a fuir !!!
- Krzysztof (8/5): A very nice place to relax. - The hotel is part of a gated tourist community, located close to many restaurants and the marina. A nice highlight was seeing the dolphins at the marina during our walks. The rooms are large and spacious, and having a bathtub on the balcony was a lovely touch. The area also features a golf center nearby, which is a plus. Communication with the hotel was poor; they didn't respond to our messages via Booking.com at all, and the reception staff on-site wasn't particularly helpful either. The beach was average, and there is a noticeable lack of playgrounds or facilities for children.
- Giner (7/5): -
- Colleen (5/5): I would stay elsewhere next time. - We enjoyed the location so close to beach and restaurants We were in a room on the street next to a restaurant with live music. The music was so loud it shook our room until midnight. We were there New Year’s Eve and there was a DJ until 4:00 am. We didn’t sleep
All night. Water worked sporadically and often had no hot water. No hammock on patio. Jacuzzi is only warm and hot water usually didn’t work. Only 1 staff speaks English. No check in info. No one answers the phone before arrival and no phones work while there so no assistance if needed. You go to front desk but no one speaks English. No kayaks or snorkel gear and a rope blocks the beach.
- Ian (10/5): -
- Sean (9/5): - Amenities, service, facilities were all excellent.
- Robert (6/5): -
- Michael (7/5): - Calm location on the beach.
Beach is nice, 10 mons swimming there is a reef. Not amazing but decent. Many fish, some corals, sting rays.
Hotel is not new but confortable. Very good sea view balconies.
Restaurant / Bar - ok, nothing amazing
Behind the hotel there are many restaurants, most are ok, nothing amazing here as well. Not much facilities in the hotel. No kayaks or snorkelling equipment, no gym, no spa. Basic.
- Mariel (5/5): Could have been better. - The location was good. The layout of the room was good. The bellboy was very nice and helpful. We were given a room with a nicer view because the original one smelled bad. There are no towels available at the pool or beach. None of beach club activities advertised were available. The bathroom floor was not very clean (hair laying around). The front desk staff was not very helpful. The room did not look like the pictures on the website.
- Elise (9/5): Perfect!
- MAURO (7/5): -
- Oded (9/5): -
- Irene (8/5): Very good value, excellent location. - The location is wonderful. Sadly it is sargassum season we were not able to enjoy the amenities due to the smell Gracias produced by the sargassum. The beach area is nice more than anything. The staff very helpful. Pedro a gentleman in the front desk went above and beyond to help me out. The property has everything is just outdated.
- antonio jose (10/5): Muy buena estancia.
- ANASTASIA (10/5): - Nice hotel with the beach and many restaurants nearby. It's located at the closed area. To get to the nearest sightseeing location you need to take taxi on the territory.
- Conrad (10/5): Exceptional -
- Maria (10/5): Beach Club Perfection - We liked everything about our stay at the Beach Club, Puerto Aventuras. The staff is amazing! They are super friendly and helpful! Best service ever! The pool area is superb, there is also a plunger bar and restaurant designed in tasteful Japanese style serving Japanese cuisine. The food menus are simple with local twist and is exceptional. The drink menu has great choices with cocktails, beers and my favourite, clamato. Wine selection is also worth trying. We tried Mexican red wine and now it is one of my favourites. The top floor room that we stayed in could use a refresh but it was comfortable with Aircon and a fan, big shower and amazing view. There are lots of different areas available to relax at including the beach. The created reef protects the beach from direct waves making it very pleasant to swim in. We enjoyed trying all areas and had the most relaxing time especially by the pool where modern up eat music is played. The club/hotel is in the heart of the complex with plenty restaurants, shops and things to do. The best part is that no one day is the same.
Highly recommend this lovely place with the friendliest staff! There isn't anything we did not like. Everything was superb.
- Sylvain (7/5): Nice - Hotel has been renovated few months ago and it is nice :-) beautiful view and pools You can't open a tab on your bedroom which makes the "pool bar and restaurant" not a very nice experience (have to go get money in your bedroom to pay... they don't provide pool towel so you go back to your room wet and it is quite slippery)
- Steven (9/5): Exactly the quiet vacation we wanted. - We always enjoy this place for total relaxation. It is not an adventure destination but a great break if that's what you want. There was a good deal of renovation going on at the time of our visit.
- Ewan (9/5): Superb - Beautiful location, lovely pool and beach access. There are some other bars and restaurants close by too. Rooms spacious. Didn't get to try the hot tub as only there for one night. A mix up with putting charges to the room. This was not discussed at check in so when I ordered a drink at the bar and asked to put it on my room the waiter never completed the order but also didn't tell me what the problem was until I went back to ask. Better communication would be appreciated.
- Yalcin (7/5): old hotel, good location, lots of restaurants around, good beach club. - Beach is good, breakfast was slow, would be better to have open buffet. Hotel is very old, shower, toilets need to be renewed. water pressure and temperature is an issue at shower.
- Ismail (7/5): Good -
- Myrna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kevin (6/5): Pleasant -
- Dave (10/5): Exceptional -
- Blaine (10/5): Exceptional -
- G (2/5): Very poor - Location There was a cockroach in our room. There was ongoing construction and jackhammering. The overall property is tired and needs some love. Even a little bit of pressure washing and landscape would help .The pool was very murky we didn't swim in it.
- Patricia (10/5): Good stay, although a bit overpriced - Common areas are beautiful and well maintained, room was comfy and spacious Room needs a bit of maintenance, Ubers don’t reach the location. Food inside the hotel is expensive for what it is
- Linda (9/5): Superb -
- Epy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sarah (7/5): If refurbed this place would be 10/10! - The pool and the beach area were fabulous. A lovely swim up bar and plenty of beds even though it was Easter and busy. The staff were pleasant and the rooms were clean. Great location right next to all of the restaurants, bars and dolphinarium It’s very dated and although the rooms were clean it looked faded and old. The shower was a trickle and the jacuzzi in the balcony was ancient. Bedrooms are in desperate need of a refurb. The breakfast rules were very rigid and we were allowed juice OR fruit but not both! Eggs to follow either fried or scrambled and a bread basket. Last feed days we were told we could have pancakes so the kids were elated shame they didn’t let us know at the beginning of the holiday! (At the weekend where there is a buffet) Perhaps yoghurt and cereal would be a simple addition on a daily basis to make it more enjoyable for exciting? Service is pleasant but very slow so be prepared to spend a while at breakfast.
- Nuno (8/5): Very good - Location in front of the beach, swimming pool, friendly staff
- Walter (9/5): Superb -
- Nancy (9/5): Superb -
- Nancy (9/5): Superb -
- Gwen (9/5): We will definitely be back:) - Location is beautiful. Staff is very friendly. Wheelchair access everywhere. Made it very handy for us. Everything was spacious and not crowded.
- Zoe (10/5): Truly lovely experience and will recommend to others. We plan on coming back! - The setting was stunning and the beach was large and beautiful Wish they provided more variety for the included breakfast
- Jamie (7/5): Good -
- Suzanne (10/5): Amazing location. - Everything about the property was excellent. The breakfast was not very good.
- Debbi (8/5): Comfortable and beautiful private beach - The property has everything you need for food with dozens of restaurants, pharmacy, shopping , you can book excursions and rent golf carts or vehicles. The resort has a swim up bar and pools right near the beach. A server will bring food and drinks to you on the beach all day. The property has tight security. You feel very safe here. This property is literally like a small town! Registration desk could be more informative. They are courteous but not overly helpful. You will not have any water in your room sporadically, mostly at night but sometimes in the morning. They have their own water system and it does not work well 24/7. They also are extremely picky about having brand new paper money USD and Pesos. If your currency looks old or has a mark or small tear, they will not accept it. I think this must be a Mexican bank thing. I also did not like that the resort had a dolphin display. I strongly oppose any resort who buys captured marine mammals for displays.
- Wayne (8/5): Very good - The beachfront access was fantastic. We had a great time snorkeling in front of the hotel. The breakfast service on the last day was slower than the others but is was a much busier breakfast sitting than the other days.
- Miroslav (8/5): Beauty resort but monotonous breakfast - Resort (greenery), enter hall, background of the hotel (gym), swimming pools, pool with bar, large room, beds (comfortable and large), room service, view out of balcony on dolphinarium (!), beaches, Breakfast: If I compare similar hotels in Europe with a price respect (Austria, Germany, France etc.) breakfast here was very very monotonous. Every day eggs with 2 possibilities (scrambled or fried) with bacon or ham or sausage? Fruit plate or juice? If I chosen fruit then no juice and vice versa. 3 pieces of small bread to eggs for 2 persons? If I spent a day with breakfast in a similar hotel in Austria (HN hotel 220 $ US / day - inlc. breakfast for 20 $ US) they offer huge choice of fruits, meats, vegetables, milk products, various breads, juices, sweet desserts, coffee, tea, water = all included without restriction of the quantity, in top quality! I know = w/o surrounding like Puerto Aventuras but hotel of this level / price should offer appropriate breakfast...
- Rebeca (7/5): Amazing beach location for families, despite expensive food and average service - The location of the hotel is really the best and main thing: beach front, clear calm waters, surronding nature and animals; close to the Marina with plenty of food options and groceries
Next I would say the swimming pool, spacious and great to bring a baby along The breakfast included was really poor, we were hungry after it; and the food in general at the hotel was expensive and not great
The staff was not very friendly, every day it seemed they didn't remember us from the day before, we always had to go and ask for the baby seat, then wait for a while, not very smooth
- Topper (8/5): PV Hotel & Beach Club is a very good 3-star facility in a perfect location. - Beach was right off the facility and beautiful, but it was coarse sand. Breakfast was adequate but monotonous with eggs every day except Saturday and Sunday when an excellent brunch was available. Room only had antenna TV service with limited english channels, and no news/weather. Room AC drove us crazy as fan is always running and still blows cold air directly towards the bed. Room does not have a minibar.
- Gayle (9/5): Thank you to the friendly and accommodating staff making our stay exceptional. - The beach and grounds were beautiful, breakfast was yummy, and our room was older but well-maintained clean, and the bedding was exceptional.
- Nina (9/5): Superb -
- James (5/5): Passable - Location is great In need of updating.
- Karen (10/5): Our vacation to Puerto Adventuras was terrific! - We enjoyed the lovely room with a jacuzzi tub on the balcony.
The breakfast was always very good.
All the staff members were friendly and helpful.
The location on the beach and the pools were wonderful! There really isn’t any would like to see improved.
- Walter (9/5): Superb - Beach
- Debbie (5/5): Passable - The ocean view from the room was beautiful. All of the staff was very friendly and willing to help! Our rooms were nice & clean. We enjoyed the reserved beach area for guest & the ease of access to walk the beach!
Reserved beach area could be a little bigger? :) The pools were dirty(floating debris) and the water was cloudy in every pool, except the shallow kiddy pool area! We normally spend all our time poolside ordering drinks, but that wasn't an option with how disgusting the water looked!
They may need to look into replacing whoever or whatever pool company they use!
Also, the restaurant was understaffed & so the service was terrible some days. You could order a coffee and wait 10-15 minutes before receiving any coffee. They were all trying to get you what you wanted but due to staffing, the wait was too long! :(
- Ulises (10/5): Exceptional - Everything is amazing Is a little old
- Alfredo (7/5): Good -
- Alfredo (5/5): Pleasant stay but would not come to puerto adventuras or Tulum area again as it’s become an expensive tourist trap - Location and size Restaurant was very expensive, empty most of the time. Included breakfast was mediocre
- Anna (10/5): Overall amazing and beautiful and we will be back!! - The view from our room was perfect and we loved the closeness to all of the restaurants and activities. Beach area was perfect! The service at the restaurant was not good. We would sit and wait for coffee and someone to take our order and the food was just mediocre, except the Belgium waffles that were hard as a rock. Not impressed.
- Liliana (10/5): I will definitely come back - A wonderful hotel in an amazing property: beautiful, safe and relaxing I particularly liked the location, the range of services and the professionalism of the staff
- Bailey (7/5): Good - Private jacuzzi was amazing, easy to use, rooms were spacious, bathroom was lovely. Quiet place Lamp shades and light fixtures dusty/stained,
- Anna (7/5): Good - The location is wonderful and overall I was satisfied. I feel this place was overpriced for the service we got. The room was spacious but the smell of dust and stuff air (alternatively we could turn on the ultra-loud AC) was not great, there was no tea/coffee maker and when we asked for one we were told 'well maybe someone took it...' and nothing happened; anything extra was overpriced as well as nearby restaurants etc. We asked for a cup of hot water in a coffee shop and they wanted $4 for that. Pay 15% more and go to all-inclusive instead. We booked last moment, don't be like us.
- Colin (1/5): Disappointing - The location Staff were surly and unhelpful. The breakfast very poor
- Aniela (9/5): Great place with kids - Great little beach with kids. Lovely staff. Great breakfast. Great pool for kids. Beeb here twice and Will be back!
- Kelle (5/5): Puertos Aventuras not my vibe - Great location on the beach and fairly close to airport. Captive dolphins in small pens 😡 Property is dated. The lamp shade next to bed had many dark stains. It’s in a gated community with a golf course. Not great snorkeling (few small fish).
- Mariela (2/5): Regretful choice - The proximity to the beach We had a problem and we tried to receive help from front desk, which was very poor and disappointed. They failed to communicate properly what they could do and didn't offer any alternatives, hospitality isn't their language. We have seen better responses from teenagers working at Starbucks, this speaks volumes that they don't care to offer you a nice stay.
After the incident, neither manager or front desk made us feel welcome (they really need training). Imagine having to pay for that kind of treatment.
It's a four stars hotel on the beach, but it feels more like a motel.
There are so many options around the Riviera Maya with better quality and environment. You won't get what you pay at this hotel.
(Included breakfast is very cheap quality, they don't want to give alternatives, it gets boring after the second day)
- Silviu (6/5): Pleasant - The location is great. The beach is nice and some of the surroundings are great. Breakfast is a joke. It's simply an omlette and a portion of fruit. You can't pick what you want. The room is acceptable, but not up to the standards of a 4 or 5 star hotel.
- Jesus (8/5): Very good -
- Maria (10/5): Good - Location and service Rooms are outdated
- Hayden (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jacek (8/5): Relax on the beach - Great location, direct access to the private beautiful beach. Not crowded at end of January. Restaurants in close proximity. Jacuzzi on the room’s balcony with garden and ocean view. A little worn out and smelly room.m, but still OK
I could sense a strange tension among staff, like they were afraid of management?
- at the arrival receptionist tried to place me in much worse room than I booked, fortunately it wasn’t done in a smart way 😋.
- when asked for the plate, receptionist asked me to call the restaurant in person.
- Irina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ganesh (10/5): Very nice hotel for family holiday. - Very nice location with excellent service, comfortable room, good breakfast.
- Ganesh (10/5): Top hotel for family holidays - Very nice location with excellent service, comfortable room, good breakfast.
- Ganesh (10/5): Very nice hotel for family holiday - Very nice location with excellent service, comfortable room, good breakfast.
- Julia (8/5): Perfectly lovely hotel. - It was a good place to rest up after a long flight and to get accustomed to being in Mexico. Except it’s a gated community which I didn’t realize so not really Mexico. But it’s safe for those who wish to feel safe that way. Lovely facility. Great beach. Nice pool. Good for families. No elevator but if you’re good with stairs it’s fine.
- Kateet (6/5): mildly disappointed in service...great location next to Marina perfect spot for options - asked to be in near accessible room in Aug 23.....5 months early. Were put furthest room of all from entry with obstructed partially blocked SEa View ( paid for top room billing) and no one on site seemed to be helpful. The young man who was instructed i gather to welcome us and bag assist, would not speak and just seemed pissed and hateful. I do speak Spanish, so that wasnt the issue... clearly he just didnt want to be friendly or help at all. it was ok, not too difficult to please, but it was a bit didsappointing.
- Réka (8/5): Very good - Huge rooms, nice beach The hotel would need some renovation, staff could be a little more friendly.
- Marie (7/5): Good -
- Aaron (8/5): Very pleasant stay. - short walk to the beach, gym, breakfast area, and several restaurants and stores within the gated community. Also short drive to several cenotes and other beaches and towns. the AC is very loud and blows hard directly to the bed so it would be great if they can put Ductless AC. Also we were in a room for the first 3 nights where there was a very loud water pump behind the room. Management agreed to move us to another room for the remaining 5 nights which speaks for their good customer care
- Folkert (10/5): Spacious room on top location, around the harbor with the dolphins. - Beautiful hotel on top location with nice view over the calm sea. Nice bar, water around the bar is warm temperature. Other pools cold water. Spacious room with nice balcony. Best was location on gated community just 1 minute from the harbor where the dolphins were playing. Nice restaurants around the harbor, lot of choice (Thai, oriental restaurant was good), also Italian restaurant good). Very good breakfast, nice food at the bar, also sushi/sashimi, good prices. Nice calm sea for children. Dolphin Discovery, really nice. Rooms/bathroom has to be renovated for the price you pay. Curtain in shower was not ok, water everywhere. Maintenance of the pool must be better, lot of things on the floor. Further it was dream location, so worth to go.
- Denise (9/5): Superb -
- Polina (9/5): Can't wait to be back! - Loved the buffet breakfast (although it wasn't served every day), the pool, the private beach, the spacious room with nice decor and different lighting sources and most of all the private jacuzzi on the balcony! The location was perfect too, right on the marina with all the shops and restaurants. Having to leave!!!
- Claudia (1/5): Avoid at all cost - Location Horrible experience, to say the least. While the location in PA was great and the facilities were okay, they were in dire need of a refresh and did not justify the price we paid. However, the most frustrating aspect was the poor customer service and restaurant experience.
The breakfast service was terrible. The quality of the food was awful, as I found eggshells in the scrambled eggs on 3 separate occasions. The staff was rude, especially once they realized they weren't going to receive a tip. We had to wait for over an hour to receive our paid breakfast, and on our last day, they served frozen fruits instead of fresh ones. Unfortunately, this led to my two-year-old suffering from a stomach congestion and vomiting violently. Despite our distress, the staff showed no concern and even reprimanded us for using napkins to clean up.
After all this, during check-out, they even attempted to charge us over $50 for stained bedsheets!
It is evident that this place is contributing to the growing issue of Riviera Maya becoming a rip-off for tourists. I strongly advise avoiding this hotel at all costs.
- Leslie (6/5): Pleasant -
- Sergio (10/5): Exceptional - private beach and all the restaurants available literally as soon as we stepped out of the hotel. No complaints, everything was as expected. I guess the one thing I didn't care for is the difficulty to getting in and out of the complex if you wanted too. Can be expensive taking taxi in and out of complex.
- Dervil (10/5): Exceptional - Everything except the cenote restaurant Restaurant, 2 options on the breakfast ,don't purshased the breakfast included
- Tamara (8/5): Price was OK for the location and the room was about what I expected (minus the moldy looking curtains). - Great location! It’s a bit dated and it looked like there was mold on the drapes. Musty smell in Mexico is normal but man was it strong.
- Steven (9/5): The best place to relax and rejuvenate. - Nice room, great balcony. The included breakfast is quite good and the buffet on weekends is even better. Mostly however is the helpful and cheerful staff who do their very best to accommodate your needs. Nothing
