• Aa (9/5): Scenic Palm Penthouse - The penthouse is located in the residences wing of the Five Hotel, so it feels more homey and more residential, which is always a good thing, especially if you are with family and kids. As soon as we arrived, we were received promptly by the guest relationship executive from Eden (Mr. Sreyas) who at all honesty tried his very best throughout our stay to accommodate our requests or solve any issues we had with the place so the biggest kudos in this review goes to him and the management of Eden Property. The penthouse was clean on the inside, and rooms were tidy and smelled like new hotel aroma, which was refreshing and welcoming, and the photos on the booking website pretty much matched reality which was a reassuring first impression. The penthouse was pretty functional with a fully equipped kitchen, large living area, and tvs in each of the three rooms, which was a big plus on the comfort side of things. The pool was big enough (although not that deep), which was also ideal for young kids who don't need to be monitored all the time and above all ... the views were spectacular overlooking the palm and Atlantis, JBR, and even side views of the media city, so we couldn't ask for more in terms of scenery. Another major plus for living in a serviced residential hotel apartment is that you can always order anything you want online, and it will be delivered right to your doorstep. Guests can be swiftly accommodated, and all they have to do is pass by reception to get access to your unit. Now, for areas where we thought the property can improve on, we can only think of the cleanliness of the outside terrace area .... chairs and loungers were all very dusty and it could be because there was dusty weather conditions before and during our stay so maybe just sending someone to do a quick floors wips and a quick refresh of the lounging areas would be pretty appreciated. The pool also definitely needed a thorough clean up, and a good vacuum job of the pool was really needed ... even the sides of the pool were covered in some black greasy substance that we had to clean ourselves to be able to swim safely. Property management should also provide ample number of pool towls and regular towls to match the number of guests and the length of stay. The access to the electric shade covering the pool during hot sun hours was restricted because the remote controlling the shade was with the owner, so common sense dictates that the owner hands the remote to the property manager to be able to provide much needed shade for guests especially during the hot summer months of dubai!
• Mohammad (10/5): Great time with the family - Location Facility Spacious Spectacular view over the GBR & the palm 1- The receptionists are loos in allowing people not residing in the residence to come in. I had an incident where a stranger knock on my door at 5:30 am!! insisting that his friend resides in the same apartment. After a long story we found that he work in a saloon who does an outdoor service!!!! (But at 5:30 am ??!!) & he had a wrong room number given to him by another guest. Here the question is why the receptionist allows people to come in without calling the guest in the apartment and asks his permission? 2- The company representative whom you rent the apartment from, although he is helpful and kind, is available only from 9 am till 7 pm or so. If you have an issue which needs to be solved late at night or early in the morning, it’s difficult to get hold of him because the communications are all on Whatsup, they are not taking the direct call outside those times?!! I face that in the issue above (No.1)
