• Paballo Makhomo (8/5): Solo retreat! - I particularly liked Imaan. His humility is amazing. He was very helpful the whole visit The place is beautiful and amazing too. Had everything I needed I wouldn’t be writing this, if I wasn’t reminded that check out time is at 10! Background story! I stayed at this place for 7 days A few days in, I had to reschedule my plans because breakfast was very late and I exercised in the morning. So, I had to eat after exercise for the energy So, again on my check out day, my breakfast was late. So, I ended being for check out And 30 minutes-ish past the check out time, one of the helpers came to tell me Madam said to tell me check out is at 10 I didn’t like that at all. It’s the only reason I moved them from a 10 to an 8

Ulfa the owner was very welcoming & very great with communication & response time with all our requests & queries A buffet breakfast would be so great. Also just the lady who prepared it, it would have been nice to ask us how we’d like our breakfast to prepared. For example, how we’d like our eggs or if there were any items we didn’t want or were allergic to etc. Also just a thorough housekeeping with bathroom amenities replenished everyday. However, these are small things & didn’t take away from our lovely experience

• Naidoo (1/5): Potential but disappointing - The room was more or less as per the pictures. I requested for the bedding to be changed as a bug had found its way under the blanket, this was attended to promptly. Bed was comfortable and pillows soft Netflix was available and wifi. Although the wifi does require a reconnection in the mornings. The price was very reasonable for the accommodation 1. My earrings were stolen, I had gotten ready for an event and left the premises, housekeeping came thereafter to clean, whilst I expected them to just tidy the bed and replace the towels, they took the liberty to pack my belongings in to the drawers and in the process, my earrings were taken. 2. On the last day, the housekeeper came in, saw me packing, I told her to return later so I could have a proper look for it and she never returned. I had to go to reception around 5:30 to request for towels no one was available. We returned before 9pm and went to request again, and, two little boys assisted me whilst in their undies and nothing else. Bless them, I would have not minded a call from the owner saying to wait a while, she will be with me shortly instead of those little boys shivering in the cold from what I would presume would be their night bath. 3. The couch was also replaced in our absence without prior communication. Had we been informed, extra precaution would have been taken to keep our belongings safe. 4. Establishing telephonic and in person contact with reception was always a challenge. Whilst the owner returned my calls, it was far to late to the point that I stopped contacting her. We also went to the reception area to find no one around. 5. There were no cutlery provided for in the room. 6. I was told that there would be an iron provided in the room but despite my search, no iron. 7. The property is listed as sound proof however every crunch on the stone walk way outside echoed in the room. We were also disturbed by usage of the shower in the room next to ours. 8. We were not shown how to use the safe, or the code. We were given a frame with details for breakfast and ordering options. 9. The place is also listed with a pool facility however it was not maintained or cleaned. It also appeared that there were maintenance being carried out which we were not aware of. 10.

• Alister (8/5): - The location was great, the room facilities just what I was looking for - but I chose not have breakfast as I was meeting with clients each morning. As I discussed with the owner, I would expect some teething problems with a start-up so, the fact that the external door to my room was difficult to open and close was not a big issue for me. Neither was the problem with the automatic gate had to be operated manually while I was there. It was repaired on the day that I left. These are the only reasons why I rated my stay as "Very good" instead of "Exceptional"!

• Linda (8/5): - Location is perfect and in a very decent area. Staff redeemed all the other grievances I could have had about the place with they friendliness and by caring. I needed to check in immediately after my doctor's appointment, I didn't get an response or acknowledgement of that request. I then arrived at their own specified check-in time (14:00) and still had to wait for check-in. Wi-fi was very slow, if not responsive at all.

The breakfast was good but had to wait 45 minutes for our breakfast the first morning, only 5 people were waiting at that time, The last 2 days it was much better. Safe parking for your car. On our arrival at 5.00pm. they were still fixing electrical stuff in our room, and we had to wait for that to be finished. The Saturday and Sunday afternoon when we wanted to rest, loud banging noises started at the back wall of our room. Apparently, they were working on a laundry room, surely this could have been done during the week. We complained about it on the Saturday afternoon and were promised it would not happen in the Sunday, but unfortunately it happened again. Also, a mirror in the room would be nice, there is only a small mirror in the bathroom. Another bedside lamp would also be nice.

Always responsive to messages and helpful with recommendations in the area. Walkable to local shops and an uber ride further afield. Nice breakfast. We had a great stay and would stay again. No shelf in the shower for toiletries. Had to bend down to the floor. Loose sockets in the wall so had to be careful removing plugs. No net curtain so people walking past the big French windows look in and there’s no privacy. Have to shut the curtains to dress and change. Not great, especially in the middle of the day. Easy fix though.
