• Antonija (10/5): Pleasant location, great for long stays - We really enjoyed our stay, the apartment is excellent as in the pictures, very spacious, tidy, fully equipped. We felt at home right away. There are 3 separate bedrooms (one was locked as there were only 2 of us) and 2 bathrooms. Carlos was very enthusiastic and accommodating, made sure we had everything we needed and acted promptly whenever we had a request. We loved the location, it's not near the center (about 45 min flat walking) but it's near the promenade and in a pleasant environment. There's a shopping center with a large supermarket 5 minutes from the apartment. Buses stop right in front of the house, including the airport bus and buses 1 and 2 that take you to the center in 10 minutes. We spent a month in Madeira without a car, took buses everywhere and didn't feel like we needed a car, but there's also a garage. Carlos provided extras like rechargeable bus passes and even a pool pass. Cleaning was provided in the middle of our stay. The internet signal works well in the living room and kitchen (but doesn't really reach the bedrooms). The amount of text messages we received from the host throughout our stay. We truly appreciate the host's intent, friendliness and warmth, but we found it a tad excessive to receive a text every other day :).
