- Lewis (8/5): -
- Leon (8/5): - You get what you pay for, no bells just a good nights sleep.
- YAKUBU (2/5): Awful - Nothing. Awful place to stay. Everything wasn’t good. The dirt on the beige carpet in the room was so dirty couldn’t put my feet on it. If you have lung issues please don’t go in there.
- Adrian (1/5): Don’t offer rooms that aren’t available - I booked, it was a good deal, despite the poor reviews. It was already getting pretty late, getting towards 7pm, and I was just about to head over when I received a message cancelling my booking due to ‘mechanical issues’, and that they were ‘sorry for the inconvenience’. All nearby hotels were full or demanding stupid last minute prices, leaving me stranded. Not impressed.
- Hazel (6/5): Dirty carpets! - Booked well in advance and got a good price. Managed to get one of the 2 parking spaces onsite (not bookable, just lucky!). The carpets throughout were filthy, black all around the shower. No bedside lamps.
- Chris (1/5): My stay was like the Christmas film ‘it’s a wonderful life’ only without the happy ending. Bleak. - Hades is more hospitable The fact I was lied to on numerous occasions
- Guest (1/5): Awful - Nothing It was so expensive and it was filthy, had to get bedsheets changed as there was what looked like public hairs all over the bed, the double bed was just 2 singles pushed together and I had to check myself in over the phone rather than the 2 members of staff at the desk helping me check in
- Jonathan (5/5): -
- Tom (1/5): Simply awful don’t stay here - Nothing Horrible staff
Poor check in
Stole my money with no remorse
- Thorsteen (1/5): - intet jeg blev ikke lukket ind, men måtte finde andet hotel i kulden
- Ryan (1/5): Shit - The fact that I had a rat trap in my room by the end of the bed and the fact there were pubic hairs in the shower and sink
- Kearney (9/5): -
- ROBIN (1/5): -
- Leon (5/5): Just a room with a bed nothing more - It’s on a quite road and train station at the bottom of Road The room size was big but nothing in the room other than a bed
- Alexander (10/5): A comfortable nights stay - Really nice shower. Comfy bed. Reasonable tea and coffee facilities.
Room access codes were a nice way to unlock room. The tv was a little small for the room. Functional but felt a bit of an after thought.
Also there was soap in the shower that was unwrapped and the packets of shower gel were already open and partially used. Would have been nice to have fresh toiletries.
- Graeme (3/5): Emergency cheap overnight stop - The bathroom was clean and in better condition than the room itself Initially I couldnt access the hotel as I had not received instructions. There are no staff on hand.
The room was basic, shabby furniture, TV missing (but not the remote!), dirty stained carpet, stained ceiling.
- Madalina (10/5): -
- Jane (1/5): - We had 2 x deluxe rooms they were very basic any the carpets in the whole place where very very stained and dirty, whole place smelt of curry! Nothing
- Joshua (10/5): -
- Christopher (1/5): A convenient place to stay ruined by the aggravation I experienced on the Tuesday evening - My room was emptied of my belongings the day before I was supposed to check out. I managed to retrieve most of the items when the the night receptionist looked in the cleaners/store room and found my clothing, electric cable extension lead, contact lens solution and lens case. My electric toothbrush was missing as was my comb. These items were in the ensuite on the shelf below the mirror. I checked yesterday morning still without my electric toothbrush. I return at 12.30pm yesterday to talk to the staff and to have another look without success. The OralB toothbrush is over £ 50 to replace. I have already had contact with OYO with a series of texts yesterday to sort out the problem see above

- Chris (1/5): Awful - Absolutely disgusting hell hole I expect a full refund, not fit for human habitation even the rats were leaving. Nothing it was revolting.
- Adam (3/5): - No staff.... Took 1.5 hours to enter the building
- Jay (8/5): Very good - Komal the receptionist was great! Very helpful and polite

- Oseghale (10/5): -
- thomas (5/5): dissapointing! - location good, 15 minute walk to cathedral. room condition was pretty "worn", scruffy, no bedside lights, indifferent staff. Shower and bathroom very cramped. No parking spaces athotel and nothing nearby. The parking situation should have been made clearer on the booking form.
- Liam (2/5): -
- Edward (3/5): -
- Guest (1/5): -
- Claire (3/5): Disappointing to say the least - Location There are no staff at the hotel so no way to communicate about your booking or any issues. The carpets are absolutely filthy and the room is in need or repair, some of the plug sockets were not properly connected, the bathroom sink was blocked and the shower was dangerously slippy.
You can’t enter the hotel before 3pm as the codes are on a timer so you can’t even get in through the main door.
We paid £140 which is total madness. I’d say that it’s worth about half of this.
- Sarah (2/5): A really disappointing hotel experience. This is a self check in hotel, with access codes provided on the day of arrival -
- Leon (7/5): -
- Graham (10/5): - Self check was awful.dirty carpets. Komal was the only person who was helpful. No help from chat support. Komal is a star. Self check in is bad. And dirty carpets
- Graham (10/5): - I love the location. And the manager komal was great and she us very helpful and very professional. Will come back
- Graham (10/5): - Nice room given by komal who was very helpfull
- Martin (10/5): Lady at reception was very helpful, will definitely rebook in the future - Easy access, nice location
- Aivaras (8/5): -
- Marc (8/5): - The receptionist was very pleasant and helpful, made me feel at ease. Check in was simple and efficient.
The location is great with only 15mi walk into town I was in a room at the top of the hotel which was really warm.
- Graham (8/5): - Great service by komal

- David (6/5): - Staff were really good but massive problems with the automated online booking system.
- Jiri (1/5): - I came to the hotel at 10 pm- NOONE WAS AT THE RECEPTION AND HOTEL WAS LOCKED- I spent almost TILL MIDNINGT call all the phone numbers connected to the hotel- NO REPLY.
I cancelled the Booking- Found nowhere to stay that night
NIGHTMARE I came to the hotel at 10 pm- NOONE WAS AT THE RECEPTION AND HOTEL WAS LOCKED- I spent almost TILL MIDNINGT call all the phone numbers connected to the hotel- NO REPLY.
I cancelled the Booking- Found nowhere to stay that night
NIGHTMARE
- Marilyn (5/5): an okay stay - it was a good room. The booking in process was a bit complicated.
- Sophie (1/5): UNSAFE, DISGUSTING & DIRTY. STAY AWAY!!! - It was an horrific stay. VERY UNSAFE. ⸻
I would like to formally submit a complaint regarding my recent stay at your hotel. The condition of the hotel was utterly unacceptable, with the room itself being extremely dirty and emitting a strong odor of cigarettes in the linens, bedsheets, and carpets.
The check-in process was very poor, and the customer service I received was extremely disappointing. As a female guest in my early 30s, I was deeply unsettled when, late at night while in bed, my room door was opened by a male who claimed the room was his. I informed him that this was incorrect as I had been checked in for several hours. He showed me his phone, which displayed the same room number and access code, reportedly provided by your customer service team. Their lack of apology and admission that the hotel had been overbooked that night made me feel immediately unsafe.
Further communication via WhatsApp claimed that the room code had been changed, but when I requested the new code, I was told that no one else could access the room, which seemed untruthful.
With nowhere else to go and work early the following morning, I was forced to place a chair against my door and spent the rest of the night feeling anxious and vulnerable. The fact that anyone could have entered my room, potentially intoxicated or confrontational, posed a serious risk to my safety and well-being.
Given this distressing experience, I am formally requesting a full refund for my stay. I have evidence to support my claims and expect this matter to be addressed promptly.
- Avery (1/5): -
- Guest (5/5): - the bed clean torn curtains, stained carpet,
- Esther (5/5): Not that great, but for the price it was passable - There was a horrible stench in the bathroom. Staff ignored me as I was waiting for assistance in the reception. Several flights of stairs to get to our room as well and no available lift.
- Guest (3/5): Perfect stay for extramarital affairs - Pleasantly surprised a fan was provided, bathroom and linen were clean. No staff at check in or check out, the digital self check in took 3x longer via WhatsApp than it would have done with a person, complete ghost town, made me think the hotel was a seedy place.
- Joe (8/5): -
- Evans (1/5): Awful. - Staff member was helpful and friendly however no staff were there after. Says 24/7 support. Which is untrue the online system doesn't work. I had no response Digital online check in didn't work.
Room was unclean. I tried to contact the online support aa I had suspected someone had entered the roon and used the facilities while I was out. No response. Then in the evening someone forcibly entered my room claiming it was there's he was clearly on something. . He had the front door code but the incorrect one for the room I had paid for. I packed and left as this hotel is ridiculous. I had no support from their 24/7 support and not response
Someone else was outside the building who clearly was on something and he was claiming he was staying there but couldn't get in he left when neither I or another couple who came back would give him the code. Poilce were Contacted. Security here is non existent. Do not stay here.

- Bira (7/5): -
- mike (7/5): Short notice booking - Cheapest option with (very limited) parking
The service and genuine customer care from staff
Location
Quiet fan
Good tv position Old world steep stairs (old building, what can you do?)
Room hadn't been cleaned properly, there was a HUGE pair of shorts left behind bathroom door
- Giles (4/5): - Not sleeping on the street!.... Although that might have been cleaner... Hotel price (all be it at the cheaper end of the market) for what is basically a very dirty private room in a hostel.
- Guest (6/5): Overall satisfied and exceeded my expectations. - It was a nice and smooth check in. We did not have to talk to a to a z ODS a dead enough information to get in the rooms in our own. The staff was very nice to us, especially the woman on the reception, Jomal Komal, was very nice to us at our check out. Shampoo and water for free in the room was a very nice surprise. It was a little bit unclean and the light in the bedroom did not work.
- Sophie (8/5): - Staff were friendly and helpful, room was clean, a fan was provided which was appreciated as it was very hot! More coffee and tea types available. Radiator was on in bathroom, unable to turn off. It was very hot weather so this would have been good to be able to turn off
- Michael (1/5): - Girl on reception was very helpful with a cheerful persona. A broken fan, grubby furniture, mildew around the shower, ingrained soil in the pan, and utterly hideous carpets laced with filth and stains - walking barefoot on it was a deeply depressing experience.
- Cavalcanti (8/5): Nada a declarar - Cama Banheiro e não ter água para beber
- Rupert (1/5): - Impossible to find.
There is no sign of indication.
- Harriet (9/5): Ideal - The staff were so nice and welcoming and helpful Some of the other people using the hotel made me a bit uncomfortable when I came back late at night, but the staff made me feel a lot better
- Shihab (9/5): - The receptionist masuda and mariya was very helpful. Chek in very smooth. The bed was comfortable, quite room. It did deep appear clean. Carpet are so.dirty.please Charge the carpet
- Sian (3/5): Dark - Sadly none of the lights worked in the room.
The TV did not work well enough to watch but well enough to give enough light to get changed for bed.
There were also a previous guests used snack wrappers still in the desk drawer.
- Emma (2/5): -
- Kulik (1/5): Never stay here. - Nothing I arrived on late check in with a code I had been sent by email to a lobby with a drug addict sat in it and a code that didn't work on my door. I spent 2 hours walking around Bristol at 1 in the morning looking for a room as I couldn't get in the one here. Hotel stank. Unresponsive staff. Feels unsafe. Do not stay here
- Murphy (3/5): Poor service overall. - The self-service entry and exit is a cool concept. The bed was clean and relatively comfortable, but it was small. There was good WiFi for me to work, and they also provided coffee and water in a kettle, as I requested, but the water didn't look clean so I didn't use it. First of all, locating the place was a nightmare. The actual name of the hotel is OYO and not Dancenter. The address also provided is wrong. It's on the opposite side of the provided address. I'd tried to call severally ahead of my arrival, but I could only speak with the headquarters. Nobody responded from the main hotel or returned my calls. Even if you use self-check-in, there should be someone to respond to enquiries and complaints swiftly. I got to the location tired from my journey, and spent almost 30 minutes trying to figure out the actual place. After asking around and entering three wrong places (including a pub at the initially provided address), I finally checked the picture of the hotel again online, and that's when I figured it's OYO and not Dancenter. All of these could have been avoided, and at least, the information could have been sent when my self-check-in advice was communicated. I was already almost going to find an alternative accommodation and ask for a refund.
The toilet didn't look clean. There was a very dirty patch below the water, which looked like a permanent stain, but it was irritating. The rug also looked pretty dirty, and I wasn't very comfortable stepping on it with my bare feet. The tables didn't look clean either. Then there was a wooden back door that didn't seem secure and also had a dirty curtain.
Overall, I didn't have a pleasant experience, and I don't think I'll be staying at this hotel another time.

- James (1/5): Shocking shocking shocking - Utterly disgusted at the service Had to sleep on the floor at reception as my room code was given to me wrong. Absolutely shocking attitude at any compensation or help with this matter and no refund given. Shocked
- Darren (1/5): -
- Bethan (6/5): -
- Kristine Reilly-Blake (1/5): Scam, stay away from this Hotel - This is a scam!! And should not be on booking.com as it will only give reputational damage.
The best bit was getting a different hotel to stay in! Did not stay here are was scammed!!
