Guest Reviews
- Jeanine (8/5): An affordable, clean and friendly resort in a great location with nightlife, food and drink options, right on the beach. - Bilmar is great. Convenient to night life, restaurants, and shopping - all within walking distance. Every employee I’ve encountered was friendly and extremely helpful. They have coffee makers (and coffee) in the rooms, but also have coffee in the lobby every morning. Both pools are kept very clean and they keep an assortment of pool floaties for anyone to use. You can borrow bicycles to ride or a beach chair; both at no cost. Sorry, need to complain (a little) about the room. The bathroom was so dark it was comedic and the bath gel and shampoo were exactly the same thing. One bar of hand soap wasn’t enough for us. They should provide paper towels or dish rags for use. Neither were available.
- Kevin (8/5): It wasn’t our worst stay but it could’ve been better. 8 out of 10 is generous - Location in reference to the beach. Housing keeping was spotty. They did not come 2 days and to get someone to answer a phone call at 6pm did not happen either. Bands playing till midnight every night across the street got old.
- Julia (10/5): Me senti super Conida la paramos muy bien - Está espertacular Todo me gusto
- Nancy (10/5): Perfection - Courteous and helpful service, super clean and well equipped unit with kitchen. The location is on a wide beautiful beach. They provideed towels water bottles and a chair for us to use which was so nice! Outside by the beach there are fire pits and chairs to relax in with your friends and family. Nothing!
- Sandra (8/5): Everyone and everything was lovely - Everything I wasn’t allowed to extend my stay in the same room
- Shawn (10/5): The best oceanfront resort for the money. - The location is within walking distance to everything. Beach, pool, bars, grocery stores...you name it. The view of the ocean and sunsets from our balcony was simply amazing. The walking and bike riding path between the resort and the beach was so convenient. One of the 2 elevators was broke 1/2 the time we were there.
- Nicole (7/5): - Location, clean and spacious rooms with an amazing view. Lots to do! Exterior needs a major face lift
- Joyce (7/5): -
- Christine (7/5): - The beach and the Gulf Housekeeping was not so good. Room smelled like smoke. Shower dirty. No glasses in kitchen. No plates. No hair dryer.
- Tami (9/5): -
- Josue (10/5): -
- Jessica (7/5): Convenient beach access. - The location was nice. The pillows were as flat as a bed sheet, and the bathroom was dirty.
- Marissa (5/5): Disappointed with the upkeep of this property and the lack of care by staff. - Being beachfront was the only thing appealing about this property. Rooms very outdated, carpet made your feet dirty, shower did not drain and we were standing ankle deep in water.
- Perez (8/5): Agradable - Ubicación y l a playa Nada todo estuvo bien
- Holly (8/5): -
- Kelly (8/5): - Location I was in the middle of reserving the room online and my room sold and my only option was a room for $100 more. I ended up paying much more than expected and the hotel had a very high amenity fee.
- Andrea (9/5): -
- Toni (8/5): -
- Dobler (9/5): -
- Jana (9/5): It was wonderful - We loved everything The beach is a decent walk to get there and the room floors were not to clean
- Jennifer (8/5): Very nice stay, I would definitely book again - Location A little out dated
- Kerry (9/5): -
- Bailey (10/5): Perfection! - Everyone we came in contact was incredible! Every single staff member always had a smile on their face and went above and beyond! From the front desk employees all the way to the pool boy attendants were absolutely amazing. The one pool guy would literally toss a football and play with the kids for hours! The kids loved it and that was not his job but he was more than happy to keep them entertained while the parents relaxed! Just so sweet. That’s what I mean by above and beyond what we expected. Everyone did the most in every single area of this resort. Very safe, comfortable and clean resort and couldn’t be more happy, I will say it is definitely the people who work here that make it the experience that it was. I have never seen more people working that were constantly smiling, happy, and so friendly 100% of the time. Oh and the restaurant! Food and service was 10/10! Can’t wait to go back!
- Tatiana (9/5): - Very nice facilities, gym, towels, bicycles even foldable beach chairs are provided.
- MaryAnn (8/5): -
- Darrin (7/5): Overall average to good. - Beach and beach access Volume of noise at night up to 11pm was a problem for us.
Hall lighting at night flooded room to the point we couldn’t sleep.
- Geneva (5/5): - laundry room was nice. Day time staff and front desk was ok. It was expensive. had to keep going to the front desk
- Tamara (10/5): Relaxing and perfect spot to watch the sunset. - Location, restaurants and music n/a
- Michael (10/5): excellent stay and would travel here again - poolside room was very clean and the wave restaurant/bar was excellent
- Kelly (10/5): It was perfect! We absolutely loved it - Perfect location!
Close to beach & walkable to shops & restaurants. Super friendly staff!
We loved watching the sunset while listening to live music every night! If anything more quick bites to eat by the pool.
- Joseph (7/5): If I stayed again, would not get room 246. Ask to be higher up in building to not hear music from across the street. - Great location. Beach is amazing. Beach towels great quality. Love the beach chair and bike rental included in stay. Bar across the street plays load music till 11:00. Our room was 246 which has a wall for balcony vs all other rooms have railing, plus half our view is the restaurant roof and air conditioners. Asked to change rooms but none were available
- Cavanaugh (9/5): Great time! Kindest staff we have ever had. We will be back! - We had a wonderful time at the Bilmar. Staff was amazing. Location was perfect. You could hear the music at nigh but it stopped early. Parking can be a little frustrating, but worked out great for us! We will be back! Parking across the street.
- Natalie (1/5): -
- Lisa (10/5): -
- Bruce (9/5): -
- Delia (6/5): - Location was good Elevator stopped working during the stay. Expected more of a resort feel, and it wasn't quite at that level
- Rich (5/5): Terrible noise problem with wedding reception music blasting - Location Food offerings and noise
- Deborah (10/5): Loved every short minute … - Perfect for our short stay. Room was spacious and clean. We had a kitchenette which was great for leftovers, snacks & drinks. Housekeeping came every day to maintain its cleanliness and offer clean towels. Balcony offered great views of the gulf and sunsets. Sloppy Joes served excellent food and drink. Staff was accommodating, friendly, and professional. Pools were clean and convenient. I can’t say enough about all of the personnel who we encountered. You don’t have to want for anything. The Wave Bar/Restaurant wasn’t open, but no big deal. Sloppy Joes made up for it, and that was the best bar/restaurant on Treasure Island on the beach.
- Andrea (10/5): -
- Krystal (10/5): Memorable!! - I took my boys for a mini-vacation and your hotel made it so memorable for us! Our hotel faced the pool AND the beach!! The staff was top-notch! As a single mom, who came here with my two kids, I was struggling with the cart getting it to the room. Every time a staff person saw me is struggling with the cart, they immediately stopped what they were doing to help me! I also liked that I could get a margarita for myself and just relax at the pool because we were right next to the restaurant! I don’t think there was anything that we didn’t like about the property! The location was awesome. We got to go to John’s pass, which is only like five minutes away. It was a great time!
- Debra (8/5): -
- Lessie (9/5): Perfect location with a beautiful facility - Loved the balcony over looking the gulf. Construction was noisy but I can’t wait to see the end result
- Ronald (10/5): I had a very nice stay, there was a lot to do and explore and the sunsets are gorgeous.. I will be back! - It right on the beach, the staff was very accommodating and it was a very relaxing atmosphere . Nothing really to complain about. I understand that they went through a serious storm and are doing their best to recover and get the Bilmar back up to speed.

- David (7/5): - Beach location Service at the resturant
- Cathyann (5/5): - Location, gulf views Room was not cleaned well , on top of refrigerator was a bunch of white stuff , floor was dirty
- Luis (10/5): - Todo las comidas excelente 👌
- Deborah (10/5): - From the welcoming staff, the room, property and checking out was amazing!! Thank you soooooo much for having designated smoking areas
- Richard (10/5): Good time - Location Beds not very comfortable
- Aimee (9/5): - Had a great beach front unit on the ground level, room was newly remodel and for a last min booking during Thanksgiving we got a great deal. Room was constantly humid. We had the air on but the humidity level was high.
- Stephanie (10/5): -
- Priscilla (7/5): Lovely staff and location . Beautiful beach. - Great location
Sloppy joes restaurant and live music were great Old hotel that was refurbished
Dated

- Linda (10/5): -
- Beverly (10/5): Exceptional stay. Will be back again - The rooms are comfortable, the staff is amazing, the amenities are superb. Close to activities. Lots to see and so near by.
- Ben (8/5): Beautiful area with lots to do - Great location. , near beach- maybe a football field of a walk. Shopping and good restaurants within a short walk Room doors did not fit tight- could see daylight all around.
- Fox (10/5): -
- Jane (7/5): Great stay on - Bfast at sloppy joes was great A little noisy
- DAVID (10/5): I would stay there again - This hotel is awesome
- Vee (10/5): - Staff, Sloppy Joe's, Whole Beach Vibe! Carpet in rooms & longer walk to the beach. But, would stay again!
- Angelina (10/5): -
- maryann (9/5): Memorable - Breakfast was good and location made it even better. Service was great. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone. T The sliding door leading to the balcony was very hard to open and the hotel could use a refurbishment.
- Peggy (8/5): Excellent front desk service, but poor maintenance experience. - I arrived late and stressed after learning the rental car company in Tampa hadn’t returned my driver’s license. The front desk lady was incredibly kind—she reassured me, told me everything would be okay, suggested food options nearby, and reminded me tomorrow would be a new day. Her compassion and calmness were exactly what I needed. Outstanding customer service that turned a difficult night into a comforting stay. What I did not like was the housekeeping/maintenance experience. I reported that the tub was filling up during my shower, and while maintenance fixed it while I was out, I returned to find the bath rug caked with what looked like black oil and paper towels with the same mess left on the floor. The bathroom was nothing like how I left it—very upsetting and disappointing.
- Rose (7/5): - PARKING LOT UNDER CONSTRUCTION, COULD NOT PARK AT HOTEL. LOTS OF NOISE AND DIRT FLYING WHEN WE ARRIVED. TREASURE ISLAND STILL UNDER RECOVERY FROM HURRICANE.
- Eric (8/5): -
- Chassidy (9/5): -
- Natalia (8/5): - Camas comodas.
- Jessica (10/5): -
- Melissa (10/5): -
- Brenda (8/5): - The room, view, location, cleanliness They are renovating right now so that wasn't ideal
- Smn (10/5): - My visit was 4 days. August 14th to 18th. Not 3 days. Limited parking in lot
- Samantha (10/5): -
- Sylvia (8/5): -
- Jacob (1/5): - Place is a pos. Not worth it at all. How is it 1 year later after the hurricane and the place is still a shithole. They should be charging over 150 a night. Really dirty and gross at the moment. Wish I stayed somewhere else and saved a 100
- Justine (8/5): -
- Judy (10/5): - Our room was great, perfect placement to see the ocean from the balcony. The room was clean and beds were so comfortable. Had a great time with the entertainment around the area. Only thing was check in time was a little late for my liking for just an overnight stay but understand.
- Alison (7/5): -
- Carlos (10/5): Excellent attention! - When the hotel arrived, the attention was wonderful, they made us feel at home, the room was clean and smelled very rich, our stay was wonderful.
Esta en una excelente ubicacion.
La playa es genial.
Mil gracias.
- Dorotheen (9/5): Superb - The location was great! Room was clean and the staff friendly. Bathroom lighting was poor
- Gladys (10/5): Exceptional -
- Katerina (5/5): We were disappointed given that we’ve stayed at the Bilmar for many years pre hurricane damage and all the facilities es - Room was nice and very clean. Balcony was a little small but nice to have. View was beautiful. Unfortunately, the property still has to continue to rebuild after the hurricane. Hotel restaurant, The Wave, was not yet built. Sloppy Joe’s was the only on site bar and restaurant.
- Joannie (10/5): Exceptional - Very friendly staff and excellent location
- Natalie (9/5): Superb -
- Heidi (10/5): Our stay was wonderful and we will def. Be back. - The service was wonderful, excellent location and the restaurant offers really good food. Nothing. Perfect experience.
- Michael (9/5): Great family spot. Once everything is up and running, it will be even better. - Great access to the beach. Reservations and front desk service was great. Maintenance & Housekeeping were responsive, understanding and friendly. Construction still going on. Restaurant service was a little slow, but they appeared to be short-handed.
- Jorge (10/5): Exceptional -
- Summer (7/5): Good -
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jane (10/5): Full of fun - We stayed just overnight but it was a very calm friendly place to be. They still have storm damage and are working to fix this, I hope the more clients they get the more they can repair and get everything back to full capacity. It is a great place for a break from the world
- Robert (8/5): Over all a great stay, but could have been much better with a different room not over the reasturant - Beach room, great staff, good food, and drinks at the hotel restaurant. The hotel provides free beach chairs and towels to take to the beach, which is a big plus since we came by plane to Florida. Great location lots of resturants and shops close by. Free parking at the hotel and in the overflow parking. We stayed on the 3rd floor with a beach view. The only problem was that our room was right above the restaurant area, and the view from the balcony was the top of the restaurant area's roof with a HVAC unit in line with the beach. And when the HVAC unit was running, it was so loud that you could not sit out on the balcony.
