• Melissa (9/5): One night in Aswan - The host was really kind, called the number and someone came. It's a shared bathroom (thought it was private) but maybe it's better to not have it in the same room as it's a toilet/shower.
• Koki (9/5): Great location and kind host, but a bit noisy at night - Great location Carrefour is nearby, so grocery shopping is very convenient The host is kind, polite, and very responsive Wi-Fi is easy to connect by scanning the QR code Fridge and kitchen are available Air conditioner and fan work properly You need to walk up to the 4th floor by stairs, so it may not be suitable for people with heavy suitcases Wi-Fi is slow, although this might be a general issue in Egypt There is a café right in front of the property that stays open until late at night, and the noise can be quite loud The way to lock and unlock the door is a bit unusual, so it can take some time to get used to it.

Amina ha estado en contacto por si me hicera falta alguna cosa, he recibido muy buena atención. Muchas escaleras. Y al ser Ramadán, las noches muy ruidosas, aunque el hostel no tiene la culpa.

The location was among locals, so it can be very interesting, but also a bit strange for a single woman from Europe, coming from a different culture. But I liked it, it's unique. The bathroom is a bit strange and not completely clean. But I know that we Europeans are taught different standards. For people here, maybe the bathroom is considered very clean 😊

Weshalb wir keine uneingeschränkte Empfehlung abgeben können: es war in der Nacht extrem laut: Leider scheint Rücksichtnahme nicht bei allen Einwohnern Assuans verbreitet zu sein. Krachende Metall-Rolladen und aufheulende Motorräde dringen ungefiltert ins Zimmer.

She is on top of everything: reminder of check in time; letting people in who arrived at 2am; managing to get guests breakfast when tour pick up is really early in the morning, etc. I didn’t see the owner Ali, but he is really lucky to have Amira. Nothing really for this price, but maybe getting sand out of the closet..? I know Egypt is really sandy.

• Wing Yan (8/5): Like small home - Although the space is small and everything is simple, it has everything you need, a very good price including breakfast, and a great location. The owner's daughter is very friendly and even recommends good restaurants nearby. It feels like home here. The top floor requires climbing stairs and is quite noisy due to its proximity to the street. But there were no complaints about this price.

The young woman managing the place for her family speaks good English and is lovely and friendly and helpful and eager to assist you. Note, you need to climb many many stairs to reach the apartment. For the price, I have no complaints

La cuisine à le mérite d'exister, un tout petit réduit mais bouilloire, gaz, frigo, thé, café et sucre à disposition. Sur l'annonce il est annoncé salle de bain privé, en fait la salle de bain est à partager avec l'autre chambre. Le petit déjeuné local est difficile à avaler le matin et pas vraiment d'endroit pour le prendre.

• catherine (8/5): Great budget place - This is a great budget place to stay. All is very clean. Only two rooms for the shared bathroom. Good air con. Near ferry. Tiny kitchen available and a fridge. Amera will look after you with her beautiful smile and willingness to help everything you need. She was a delight and speaks good English. Simple breakfast which includes natural yoghurt. I would stay again. Be aware there are 4 flights of stairs to climb - good exercise! Bed is a bit hard. Some nights, not all, we're noisy outside.

Questo non è un hotel ma è un appartamento adibito a bed and breakfast. Il bagno non è privato, è CONDIVISO tra 2 camere. La cucina è impresentabile (per gli standard occidentali). Colazione assurda servita su un divano senza un appoggio vero e proprio dove mangiarla (take away da fuori e ci porta un panino solo quando siamo due ospiti...). Nonostante il quarto piano, la camera è molto rumorosa perché ubicata sopra ad un cafè aperto 24 ore su 24

• Roo (8/5): My short stay in Aswan - The beds & blankets are very comfortable, the hosts are friendly and helpful, the apartment is quiet and clean, the location is perfect, right next to the Nile/boats and close to the train station, the Souq, restaurants, Nubian museum and Isis temple. It is a low cost if you are just looking to spend the night/keep your things in Aswan while you spend most of the time outside. Thank you for having me! There is no fridge, so sadly I couldn't store any food leftovers. The water in the bathroom sometimes would cut out or the pressure would be inconsistent. It is on the fourth floor with no elevator, this was fine with me but might be inconvenient for others.

As of booking, it was the cheapest solo room with shared bathroom. Even cheaper than some dormitory rooms. Top floor without elevator. It was fine to me but worth mentioning. I didnt give full high review due to some minor issues which I will not write here because the owner may have resolved it already.

The location was perfect for me, being close to the railway station and the Nile Corniche, making it easy to find transport to wherever I needed to go. The area also boasts plenty of charming cafés and restaurants. The hostel is budget-friendly, making it an ideal choice for nomads and travelers on a tight budget. Overall, I was impressed with the hospitality of the owner, Abu Mohamed, who was humble and very collaborative. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for convenience and comfort without breaking the bank. The hostel is on the fourth floor without an elevator, making it less suitable for seniors or individuals with disabilities. Additionally, I found it inconvenient that there were no sockets near the bed for charging phones.
