• Judit (2/5): Desagradable estancia - La ubicación y la amabilidad del servicio Estaba muy sucio (incluido toallas y sábanas). Además, el baño y la ducha no funcionaba bien el desagüe.

• Renaud (3/5): Mauvaise expérience - Peu de choses Pas de savon, pas de serviettes, pas d'electricite à partir de 2h du matin donc plus de climatisation et d'eau. A 9h nous allons voir le personnel avec plus de 35 degrés dans la chambre et ils nous indiquent qu'ils vont enfin appeler le technicien. Nous avons dû aller chercher nous mêmes nos serviettes. Nous ne recommandons absolument pas. L'hôtel n'est pas noté 4,5 étoiles pour rien. De plus l'hygiène n'est pas là avec de la saleté sur le sol et des draps tâchés et troués.
• Julia (1/5): Absolute Frechheit - Garnichts Habe 4 Nächte gebucht und das Hotel direkt nach dem Check in aufgrund der mangelnden Sauberkeit wieder verlassen. Die Unterkunft war total versifft und verschimmelt, roch wie ein uralter modriger Keller. Mein Geld habe ich nach einem Beschwerde Fall nicht wieder erhalten und mein Urlaub war erst einmal dahin. Für Booking scheint Schimmel wohl kein Problem zu sein.

They rent scooters, got beer, lifes good 😎😎. I got a superior room fyi on the lowest floor which are the best rooms if I’m not mistaken Nothing at all, maybe a bit of a walk to get to but totally fine distance on a bike.

• Daniel (1/5): - Lots of mould in the room. Shower is directly over the toilet and temperature not able to be changed. Water from the sink comes out directly onto the bathroom floor. But the worst of it was that my friend tried to stay towards the end of my trip, under her own booking that she'd had for months, but was told they were "over-booked". I'm not sure how they can have been over-booked when I was able to book the day before staying. Regardless, why they couldn't have let her know before the day is astounding. This meant that she was left with nowhere to stay and had to fork out a huge amount of money to stay somewhere else at short notice.

Really bad - I stayed at Rate Gili House for 3 nights (15–18 August) and unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. What is advertised online is not the same as what you actually find upon arrival. The property does not match the pictures or descriptions. The place operates more like a home with children around, and it does not provide the comfort and privacy expected from accommodation listed on Booking.com. Additionally, the owner accepts guests even when there is clearly not enough space available, which makes the stay uncomfortable and unprofessional. I booked expecting a relaxing and enjoyable stay, but instead it felt overcrowded and poorly managed. I do not recommend this property and believe the listing should reflect the true conditions.

• Xenia (4/5): But the island is beautiful - Where do I start? The walls are so thin and the ceiling shakes so much, I felt like I had front-row seats to my neighbors’ every step. The air conditioner hangs right above the bed — but no worries, it doesn’t work, so you won’t catch a cold! The curtains are hanging on for dear life, the shower offers only cold salty water, and the absolute cherry on top: bedbugs. Took me a few mornings of itching to figure that one out. If you enjoy a party, you’re in luck — music sometimes blasts until 2 a.m. And just when you finally drift off, the roosters kindly wake you at 5 a.m. sharp. To be fair, the staff are very nice and do try to help, but sadly that doesn’t fix the… let’s call it “unique” atmosphere of this place.
• Gregor (3/5): - Rien À notre arrivée, la porte de la salle de bain était cassée. On nous a assuré qu’elle serait réparée, et nous avons donc confié les clés. Mais, en revenant 7 heures plus tard, nous avons retrouvé les clés laissées sur la porte, avec toutes nos affaires à l’intérieur… un énorme manque de sécurité ! (Pourquoi ne pas avoir laissé les clés à l’accueil ?) La salle de bain, quant à elle, était très sale : le jet spray fuyait en continu et son support, cassé, le laissait traîner par terre. Enfin, le rapport qualité-prix était catastrophique. Nous voulions nous faire plaisir pour une fois en choisissant ce logement, mais ce fut finalement le pire que nous ayons eu. D’habitude, nous prenons des hébergements à 15 € la nuit, bien plus corrects que celui-ci qui coûtait pourtant 50 € la nuit !

• Maria Letizia (1/5): Peggio di così non poteva andare! - Non c’è nulla che possa piacere. Posso salvare solo la gentilezza del personale, che però è incompetentemente e disorganizzato. Abbiamo prenotato questa struttura all’ultimo momento, costa molto poco anche per gli standard balinesi, quindi non ci aspettavamo una reggia. Le stanze sono luride, la biancheria sporca, i materassi tutti macchiati. Siamo arrivati dopo le 17, le stanze dovevano essere pronte dalle 14, ma una era ancora occupata: la persona non aveva fatto check-out e il personale non lo sapeva neanche! Sono ragazzi giovani e non sapevano come comportarsi, abbiamo dovuto aspettare più di un’ora per avere la seconda stanza. Non fatevi confondere dalle foto della piscina, la struttura è fatiscente, tenuta male e non viene mai pulita!

• Briccolani (1/5): esperienza terribile - l’unica cosa positiva della struttura é la posizione dell’ostello rispetto all’isola. igiene scarsa. i lavandini e le docce perdono acqua e allagano il bagno e la stanza dove dormi. ci si é allagata la stanza dopo 1 sola doccia (eravamo 3 ragazze in una stanza) e ci hanno proposto di dormire in un’altra stanza per due persone. non abbiamo accettato avendo zaini ingombranti e non essendoci spazio per muoversi, il materasso sarebbe stato per terra oltretutto. ci spostano in un’altra struttura sempre di loro proprietà (Gili Desa). la porta di questa stanza non si chiudeva, essendo scorrevole poteva benissimo entrare chiunque, il bagno aveva lo stesso problema di allagamento e cosa peggiore abbiamo trovato scarafaggi che uscivano dallo scarico del bagno e che si erano infilati nella nostra roba. la titolare é stata molto scortese e non curante dell’ennesimo problema, lo staff sicuramente più gentile e disponibile ma incapace di trovare una soluzione pratica. sconsiglio vivamente.

It’s put as available on the main online platforms, but when you arrive for check in it became immediately clear that they in fact (systematically) overbooked many many people. With a simple lie (Sorry, sorry, Sir, the system got hacked) they take you to another place, which is far far far inferior of the place advertised. After trying to check in at Gili House, I was first taken to Gili Kampoeng a 2/10 rated place on Google. After I complained that there was no AC, no water in shower, and no way to secure my belongings in my absence (first no key, then I received a little padlock with a key but there was no way to attach the lock to the door - only one o-ring on the door but nothing fixed to attach it to), only two hours later was I brought to a third property. Here there was a (dirty) shower, and the shabbiest of ac’s (that hardly made a difference when on or off,) i only later learned that here the water was running down the walls from the room(s) above, the bedding and bedsheets were mold and the room infested with a smell of rotten fungi. There was again no lock on the door, and i was told a person was always on site for security and there was an overall compound entry door… Though when i came back after dinner outside the main door to the compound was standing wide open towards the street and no “responsible person” was any longer available on site. These people are lying and clearly don’t have the interest of their customers at heart. • Maher (3/5): Not worth the money - Good location, about a 15 minute walk to each side of the island. Large rooms. Got moved to a different room on my second night in reception by the entrance. The walls were mouldy and the air was very noticeably musty from this. They had a loud industrial speaker right outside my room. Music blasting until almost 1am (I told them twice it was noisy and keeping me awake). Finally got some sleep only to be woken at 9am by the morning staff putting the speaker back on again. Thankfully this member of staff turned it off when I complained.

• Gin4 (2/5): Les fotos no corresponen amb la realitat... - El personal era amable i el lloc tenia piscina. L'aire condicionat funcionava bé. Les fotos de les habitacions de booking no es corresponien amb la realitat (es veien bones habitacions) i ens van dir que eren "old pictures" i que encara no les havien canviat. Quan vam arribar ens van donar dues habitacions brutes, amb moltíssimes humitats a l'habitació i sobretot al lavabo. De fet, un dels dos lavabos tenia tantes humitats al sostre que et queien gotes al cap mentre estaves assegut a la tassa del wc. A més, hi havia formigues. Tampoc teníem llençols de llit, nomes cobrellit i una manta que estava tacada. La primera nit la vam fer aquí, i la segona ens vam queixar i ens van donar dues habitacions que estaven un xic millor i s'assemblaven més a les fotos de booking. Tot i això, com que estaven a la 3ra planta feia una calor terrible i com que l'aire condicionat no es podia posar a menys de 18 graus va trigar hores a refredar-se. En general una experiència pèssima, mai repetiríem. No vam fer cap foto de l'espant d'habitació que teníem...

Unfortunately the obsolescence of the building that is no longer maintained, like the bathroom by the way... I booked the deluxe suite you suspect that I did not have the flowers on the bed when I arrived the bedding speaks for itself. If you think of taking a dip when you return from your day you can forget, the pool is out of service. After yes the staff is welcoming I want to tell you still happy. To conclude if you have a small budget and you expect nothing then go there. Despite everything I spent four great days on the island I had a roof and salt water to rinse myself I do not denigrate this hotel in any way just I think that a booking update should be done to show the reality of things.

It was a nightmare to find the hotel. We walked around the entire island in the sun for almost an hour with our bags and surfboards, asking everyone and no one knew where it was. We were desperate, thinking we had been scammed. It was a nightmare. The reason: the name of the hotel is different. This needs to be fixed. I'm sure other people have experienced this. The pool wasn't working.I don't know if everything was fixed, if so, I recommend it. Otherwise, no.

• Rugile (1/5): Horrible stay - - Worst Stay of My Life – Avoid Gili House Stay at All Costs! If I could give zero stars, I would. Gili House Stay was hands down the worst accommodation experience I’ve ever had. The photos online are completely misleading – when I arrived, I was shocked to find a rundown, dirty mess. The room was filthy, crawling with bugs, and both the toilet and AC were leaking constantly. After complaining, they moved me to another room, which seemed okay at first – but of course, the AC broke again. And surprise, surprise: the staff did absolutely nothing. I was left to suffer in the sweltering heat until I couldn’t take it anymore and had to spend extra money booking another place. Only on my last day, after constant pushing, did the staff finally decide to do something. Their “solution”? A room that looked even worse than the first one – moldy, dark, and disgusting. I refused, and eventually, they fixed the AC… in the evening, when my stay was basically over. the facilities were falling apart, and the whole experience was a total nightmare. Don’t be fooled by the photos.

Because of the amount of stars and how good it was rated, feels like friends wrote reviews for them. The rooms are old and not very clean. My toilets seat was broken. The sink leaks the dirty water when using on the bathroom floor. There are wholes squares as “ ventilation windows” in the wall, which makes your room a perfect stay for mosquitoes to come too. No hot water (I paid for hot water room) Stains on the sheets. Smelly pillows. Found a dead and ALIVE cockroach in my bathroom. The pool was not usable bc it was so green and dirty. I think it hasn’t been cleaned in months. Staff couldn’t speak English and seem not having patience with me as I complained about it. Also, the manager walked around with no T-shirt and clears his throat (??) all the time and spits out what was there everywhere he walks and goes. It was super disturbing to listen too, and loud af. Incredibly disgusting. I’m sorry, but I I can’t make it more beautiful then this. A/C is working. That’s why not 0 stars
