Чистота, минимализм, эстетика и комфорт. Для 4 человек дом идеальный. Для 6-уже будет немного тесновато на футонах. Нужно это учитывать при бронировании.
• Andrea (10/5): A peaceful oasis - Location, Location, Location! This property is within walking distance to the restaurants, shopping and the train station. There is a laundry mat on the corner of the street and a really nice bakery. The host was very helpful. The house is very peaceful and beautifully minimalist. The onsen tub is wonderful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

The exquisitely designed house is tucked away in the Gion area, very convenient. Once inside the house, the beauty and comfort took our breath away. Our host went above and beyond in helping us exploring Kyoto. He recommended restaurants and made reservations for us, planned the itinerary for us, and just incredibly considerate and helpful. The experience is so unique that we didn’t want to leave in the end!! Nothing!!!

• Yuan yuan (7/5): - 位置很好， 靠近八坂神社和gion , Lucas 也热情礼貌， 冬天入住的， 所以室内温度和舒适感变成了一个衡量入住体验的大因素。一楼的卫生间和楼上睡房全部没有地暖，客厅的地暖是到早上10点多停， 然后傍晚开到晚上11点整个地暖就停止了 。 每年都去京都2-3次， 冬天也去了无数次 ，就还真的没有遇到会限制地暖时间的名宿， 这一点着实有点震惊到。 浴室也冷，水泥地板冰凉， 开了暖房20分钟， 仍然很冷，导致每天洗澡，变成了不太愉悦的事。另外一个可以改善的地方是关于垃圾桶， 整个房子只有厨房的位置有垃圾桶， 不太方便， 不论在浴室， 洗手间， 还是楼上， 有任何小垃圾都要跑下楼扔。 如果不是冬天入住，室温低应该不会是问题。

Lucas organised a surprise birthday for my mom that was so sensitively thought of and made us feel so welcome and at home. He was always kind and helpful and very communicative. We are so thankful to have stayed with him! The apartment design is pure architecture, every little detail was perfection. Beautiful combination between traditional Japanese features and modern fine design. The location was the exact distance that’s fun to walk from all the noise. So close enough (10 min walk) but so quiet and chill! Our best stay in Japan! Recommended full hearted!! Nothing it was just perfect!

• Ramona (10/5): PERFECT! Better than expected. - Everything is better than the photos! I want to gatekeep, but the host was so amazing that I have to share this with everyone! The Cleanest Place We’ve Stayed In Japan! That’s saying a lot! The location was amazing, and we walked 90% of the time. It’s so nice that you’ll have a hard time motivating yourself to leave, especially when it’s raining! The garden was so zen, and the bathtub was everything! Did I mention the host waited for us in the pouring rain to help us get settled in? He also made sure we knew about the festival, which was by the river. Currently, there is construction next door, but it didn’t bother us. AMAZING, BEAUTIFUL, CLEAN machiya! I am very hard to please, and this place was perfect! A word I have never used before when reviewing a trip. (Okay, your GPS might not send you to the right location, but the easy solution was to pin it, and after that, it was fine.)

It seems the locals don’t like the guests here. The room is newly renovated, but the smell is still noticeable. No slippers are provided, and there are few travel amenities. No standing shower, which is quite inconvenient. No TV, it feel boring

The living room, kitchen and bathroom were amazing. Everything was new, sparkling clean. All equipment used new and fun technology (such as the bidet that opens to welcome you when you enter the toilet). The bathtub with garden view was gorgeous. The host prepared all amenities you could ever need and more. Truly top 2 best houses i've ever booked in any country. Nothing. Everything was perfect.

• Konrad (10/5): Perfect holiday stay in Gion - Everything was perfect. Smooth check-in with a friendly host, fantastic location close to Gion attractions, convenience stores and public transport. The house is brand new, amazing facilities - we loved the spacious bathroom and two toilets. Beds (both Japanese and western style) were very comfortable. We didn’t really use the kitchen but it was very well equipped. All in all the best place I’ve ever stayed in Japan, absolutely fantastic. Nothing
• Viet (9/5): Really cute modern Machiya - This is a newly opened machiya in Kyoto north east side. I stayed here with my family (five of us in total) for 2 nights, and overall really satisfied. The space is quite suitable for 3-5 people, with 2 bedrooms. There is a large bath area, fully equipped kitchen (except for a rice cooker), a 2 in 1 washing machine/dryer. The small Japanese style back garden is also a nice touch. The location was super convenient. There's a supermarket, convenience store, and bus stop within a 3-mins walk. We also found some great nearby dining options, including a nice and affordable teishoku restaurant and a Chinese restaurant that opens late. The staff were nice and communicated to us mostly in Line. There's also an Instagram account for this place with vids to show the interior (which helped us decide on this place in the beginning).
