Guest Reviews
- Tracy (10/5): Fantastic spot to stay for a few days, views were amazing from the deck! Running deets at night were great to watch. Sho - Wow that view!! Great place to stay!! Nothing!
- Joachim (10/5): Tiny house with maximum fun. Relaxing perspective. - Breathtaking view. All you need if you are looking for a quite place with an unbeatable view.
- Bo (8/5): -
- Karen (9/5): Location is fabulous and bed extremely comfortable. - Location is amazing 🤩 Only thing missing was a dishcloth to wipe work tops. Everything else was there
- Shagufta (9/5): -
- Lois (7/5): Restaurant next door needs an update - Lovely view No tea towel provided
- Audrey (9/5): - L'emplacement, la vue magnifique sur le lac. Cabine bien équipée.
- Ritwik (10/5): Aorangi peak cabins I think was the best choice we could have made for our stay in Rotorua. The amzong views you get of - The location, the drive till the location, the service staff’s availability and support There was nothing to not like! It’s a tiny home, so you gotta know what the limitations are going to be of a tiny home
- Millie (8/5): Lovely cabin overlooking Lake Rotorua - Amazing views of Lake Rotorua, the bed was very comfortable and it was a small but well thought out cabin. We cooked dinner there both nights and really enjoyed our stay. You drive about 10-15 minutes out of town to get there but this is what gives you the amazing views and quietness. It is worth noting there isn’t anything nearby and the cabin isn’t stocked with much- so you need to come prepared. Otherwise we loved our stay!
- Conrad (8/5): Great for a night stay - The location was exceptional The shower and toilet were not great and the lack of bedside tables was uncomfortable.
- Manuel (8/5): - Tolle Lage und sehr schöner Ausblick, bequemes Bett. Unkomplitziertes Check in und Check out. Toilette gewöhnungsbedürftig, machte unregelmässig Geräusche in der Nacht.
- Daniel (9/5): Such incredible views! - Beautiful views!
- Cindy (7/5): Excellent view but don’t bring a lot of stuff! - The view was awesome except it rained a lot and there were nothing to wipe seats dry after a downpour or morning dew. Adding an old towel to clean seats would be a good idea so guest can enjoy the seats. When we checked in the hot water wasn’t working but it was a quick response from owner and was fixed straight away . It’s fairly small and no storage facilities at all for people to put their suitcases. 3 days meant it was too long to stay somewhere that small. Toilets were not my fav! Also no wine glasses in the room?? In nEw Zealand when everyone coming here will want yo try the wine. Add 2 wine glasses to the room wouldn’t cost much. Also my husband suffers from bad hayfever and the grass was out of control in front of the cabin. Mowing it once in a while would be good to help people who have hayfever.
- Joan (9/5): Gorgeous views and peace in a little nook - The views over the town and the lake were amazing. Specially at sunrise and sunset. The cabins are in a calm location on top of the mountain. The toilet was a cassette style toilet that filled up during our time there, as this happened at night it took the staff until the next day to replace it.
The cabins are a bit small, but hey it’s in the name can’t fault them for that.
- Keith Mellnick (9/5): Great, cozy, relaxing option 10 minutes or so drive from downtown - Amazing view high above Rotorua, efficient use of space, modern amenities, good job blocking view of other cabins l, not much sulfur smell unlike downtown. I never love a cassette toilet, but that's kind of inevitable considering the location, there was a vent that was flapping back and forth all night one night in the wind, it's an amazing view and location but comes at the cost of being 15 minutes drive from anything other than a windy road and residential neighborhood. Still well worth it if you know these things.
- wim (8/5): - Het uitzicht Het restaurant
- Kurtis (9/5): Beautiful location, with all amenities of a tiny home needed. Would stay again, thank you. - Great isolated location and stay, very picturesque. The banging noise from the bathroom vent flap, during the windy nights.
- MarĂa Elena (9/5): - Las vistas son increĂbles. El baño podrĂa ser mejor.
- Allison (7/5): -

- Keh (9/5): Superb -
- Gonzalez (10/5): Stunning views and super cozy ✨❤️ - The view was stunning! ✨ and the place was very cozy. Something very simple, there was no where in the shower to place the shampoo, so you had to leave them in the floor and bend in a very small shower.
- King (9/5): Superb -
- Kakole (10/5): Cozy, comfy, clean getaway with VIEWS!! - Absolutely most comfortable bed in a cozy, clean getaway with a spectacular view for sunsets, stargazing, and sunrise! Great location for visiting all attractions in the area. Nothing.
- Randall (10/5): Exceptional -
- Amy (6/5): Nice views but a bit of room for improvement. - It was a nice view, nice space and comfortable. It wasn’t designed very well, for example there was washing up liquid and a drying rack but now where to put it and just a brush and no sponge or tea towel. It was almost like nobody had thought how a guest would use it.
We also got there to find the fence had been blown over in the storm and while this isn’t the hosts fault, we got a sort of “hey what can we do?” response from both Tiny Away and the property owner. For the price (compared to others) we were just a little disappointed.
- Aditi (8/5): Great views - The cabins are located at the peak- a 15 min drive from the city centre. Beautiful views and quite peaceful. As the name suggests it’s a tiny cabin. We booked it for 4 nights but I think 2 nights is max if you are travelling especially with luggage. The host is very responsive to any queries. We were here during early autumn with a few 20/22 degree days and the cabin can get really hot. It will cool down if you got the aircon on but takes a few minutes to get warm again. It’s def a cool experience when you get see Rotorua from the peak.
- Gabolinscy (9/5): Life among the clouds - Beautiful location. The view of the city and lake was very nice. Everything clean and tidy. Smoke detector to close to hot plate.
The booking had to end.
- Tamara (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jain (10/5): Exceptional and stunning location! - The view was incredible! This view can only be enjoyed from these cabins! A must stay location!
- Chester (9/5): Superb - Great view! Peaceful. Comfortable bed.
- Kelly (9/5): Superb - Loved laying in bed looking out at the view 🫶🏼. Such a great nights sleep
- Ellyce (10/5): Exceptional - Easy to get into. Can let your self in and out of complex so no worries if late. Wendy was kind when I called and the view is stunning
