• Paul_from_Australia (8/5): Enjoy local Italian life - Nicely located, relatively peaceful and practically on the waterfront unlike other choices in the area which are on main roads. Good value for money. Staff were pleasant. It felt a bit dated, but it is all about having the right expectations.

• Elisabetta (9/5): - Fantastica la posizione dell'hotel, vicina al centro storico ed alla spiaggia, soprattutto la nostra camera con vista mare. Ottima la cucina, grazie ad un bravissimo chef. Ho apprezzato molto la colazione, sempre varia, in particolare le torte casalinghe. Gentilissimo e disponibile lo staff. La piscina invitava a tuffarsi, peccato che, nonostante le giornate di sole, l'acqua era fredda per fare il bagno.

• Niamh (10/5): A lovely relaxing week after a week in Rome. - We asked for a room with a sea view and we were certainly given one. The sea was literally outside our balcony .We left the window open at night to listen to the waves lapping on the shore. But not many rooms have this, most look out onto the pool and beyond to the sea and cliffs in the distance, still a good view. The pool area was excellent. The hotel was a short walk from the train station. As we didn't have a car we relied on public transport. The train service was great but we never managed to get a bus. No one knew the bus time table, apparently it changes with the seasons. So missed out on visiting Santa Maria Castellabata.

• Tom903 (9/5): Gut geführter Familienbetrieb an bester Lage mit fairen Preisen - Extrem gutes Preis- / Leistungsverhältnis. Freundliches Personal. Super Lage, direkt am Meer und trotzdem nur 10 Minuten zu Fuß ins Centro storico. Schöne Balkone, leider keine Beschattung, was die Nutzungsmöglichkeiten reduziert. Grundsätzlich gute Parkplätze, jedoch teilweise unter Bäumen gelegen mit vielen Vögeln, welche mit ihren grossen Mengen an Exkremeten das Auto total verschmutzt haben. Wir mussten das Fahrzeug aufwändig waschen, um Lackschäden zu verhindern. Grundsätzlich hundefreundliches Hotel, jedoch ins Restaurant dürfen die Hunde nicht, was uns deshalb bewogen hat, extern essen zu gehen.
• Albrecht (10/5): Wir können dieses Hotel weiterempfehlen und würden auch gerne wiederkommen!! - Hotel Mare hatte eine sehr ruhige Lage. Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Meerblick und einen tollen Balkon. Lage war auch nähe Paestum. Weiterhin gab es ein tolles Frühstücks-Buffet.

• Denise (10/5): Gerne wieder - Die Lage ist perfekt, direkt am Meer. Zimmer mit Meersicht, so dass wir jeden Abend den Sonnenuntergang geniessen konnten. Zimmer sehr geräumig, sauber und vor allem sehr ruhig. Keine Nebengeräusche vom Nachbarn. Jedes Zimmer bekommt einen Sonnenschirm am Pool zugeteilt mit einem Liegebett und einem Liegestuhl. Pool sauber mit einer Bar. Wir kommen sicher wieder, es hat uns da sehr gefallen. Frühstücksbuffet könnte ein wenig besser sein im Angebot

Soprattutto le signore alla colazione veramente squisite ed eccezionali che preparavano un buffet da sogno! Tutto fresco e tutto fatto con Amore ! Addirittura ci facevano trovare le uova ad omelette fresche ogni mattina, perché sapevano che ci piacevano! Accoglienza fantastica e permanenza anche! Pulizia ottimale, ogni giorno le signore delle pulizie prendevano la camera super pulita e profumata! I miei complimenti anche per la qualità dell’acqua che offre il servizio bar, acqua alcalina di ottima qualità che solitamente viene offerta nei migliori hotel esteri! Migliorerei il materasso del letto

• Mandy (10/5): Well located and comfortable seaside hotel - Great choice at breakfast and lovely to eat on the terrace overlooking the pool . Sparkling clean big outdoor pool ..just lovely to stretch out and swim laps . The hotel is an easy walk from the train station and overlooks the sea and a canal . We discovered that it is quicker to walk in to the old part of town if you use the little footbridge across the canal . Our room was spacious and clean . All rooms appear to have a balcony . Everything was good

Ottimi servizi: ha un accesso diretto al mare (davvero carino il pontile), una bella piscina con servizio ombrellone, letto e sdraio compreso, doccia e bar. Personale accogliente e disponibile. Camera decisamente vivibile e disponeva addirittura di uno stendibiancheria con mollette incluse. Colazione a buffet variegata.

The staff were very polite and helpful especially the lady in the breakfast room who gave us advice as to how and where to get buses. The hotel was comfortable and the staff were always willing to give advice and information on the town and surrounding areas. The only issue that came up was some work being done in the adjoining river. A noisy digger work every day during our stay.I must add that this was beyond the control of the hotel and I believe that they were going to raise a complaint about it.

The restaurant was convenient and excellent. I felt the quality was 4 star even though the sign said three stars. It was too cold to use the pool but that was not the fault of the hotel.
• Roberto (10/5): Values for money, fantastic view and a peaceful place. - We stayed at Hotel Mare in September, and we had a fantastic stay, the Hotel is very clean, the room was spacious, the pool area is very tidy, also the easy access to the sea was a nice bonus. We enjoyed the continental breakfast, especially the tasty omeletes . The Hotel staff is very helpful and polite, we would stay at Hotel Mare again.
• Charles (10/5): Memorable - Beautiful place to stay. Very well located and close to everything. The staff is absolutely amazing. Loredana and Anna at reception were fantastic. The only drawback for us was the access to the beach. It is located in front of a rock beach, whereas we prefer a sandy beach.

• John (8/5): It was pleasant. - The hotel has a great location and a large pool, staff were friendly. Late September it was very quiet as end of season. The hotel is quite dated. I don't expect hotels to refurbish every few years that would be ridiculous but the hotel itself is quite dated. Beach outside the hotel gate is covered in debris from bricks etc among the stones. Asked about a luggage trolly to bring stuff to the room but they didn't have one
• Lydia (10/5): Exceptional - The hotel was phenomenal from stepping into the reception with helpful staff, the spotless room with every amenity you need, stunning views, clean and LARGE pool, steps from their private beach with a lifeguard. Allocated sunloungers for the stay meant everyone had a great spot with no pressure or rushing for one. Breakfast buffet was plentiful with a full range and drinks made on demand. Pool bar made food and drinks at a reasonable price. Staff made this 10/10 for us, always helpful and going out of their way for nice touches.
