- Solveig (10/5): Amazing, will come back ASAP - The hotel is very beautiful and very nicely designed; the staff is incredibly friendly, funny and helpful !We felt at home instantly. Extra shoot out for the bedding which were super soft.
- Arkadiusz (10/5): - A truly exceptional apartment!
This apartment stands out in every possible way. The design, comfort, and attention to detail create a unique and memorable experience. Everything is thoughtfully prepared, clean, and maintained to a very high standard.
The atmosphere is both elegant and welcoming, making it a perfect place to relax and feel at home. The location is also very convenient, adding even more value to the stay.
Overall, it’s a truly outstanding place that exceeds expectations. Highly recommended, and I would gladly return again!
- bruce (10/5): Amazing Boutique Hotel In The Heart Of The City - Very nice boutique style hotel in the heart of the city. The hotel is designed and furnished very nicely. All of the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Definitely would go back! Nothing

- Marcin (10/5): Hidden gem with an easy location to reach beautiful spots in the city. - Really pleasant atmosphere , very helpful, peaceful and relaxed . I loved the decor and uniqueness of it. It’s a great and beautiful place, that deserves a good coffee machine to match the high standard of this establishment.
- Jared (9/5): -
- JK (7/5): No temperature. - Room was clean. I expected it to be a hotel and filtered in booking.com in search to be a hotel but it was not. I would usually prefer a hotel for the ease of having someone to assist me anytime and this was not it. The staff was cold compared to other similar places I stayed in. And no toilet paper when I checked into the room.

- Özay (10/5): A Truly Perfect Stay in the Heart of Old Town - We were extremely satisfied with our stay at HoM. Almost everything was flawless — the room was spacious and impeccably clean. The entire staff was incredibly helpful, friendly, and kind, which made our experience even more enjoyable. The location in the Old Town was perfect, within walking distance to many attractions, allowing us to explore the area easily on foot. We truly had a wonderful stay and would gladly return.
- Ken (10/5): Definitely would get back there next time👍 - Lovely staff!! Good design and in an intriguing area ‘real old Bangkok! ‘
Snack offer really welcome. Should install a lift having said this the staff did the heavy lifting of baggage !! More bedside lighting control..
- Pablo (10/5): - Very convenient if you are spending few time in the city and you want to visit grand Palace and buda.
- Anna-marie (10/5): - The accommodation was beautiful and very clean. The staff were all amazing. So helpful and friendly and always on hand to help with anything. There wasn't anything I didn't like. Couldn't fault it.

- Petra (9/5): Great stay, great place for Old town activities - We stayed here for the second time already and returning after a couple of years, our stay in Bk Old town district was wonderful again. The hotel staff is very nice and helpful, we felt very welcomed and well-equipped for our stay. We got a lot of very good recommendations regarding eating out and sightseeing, all was explained in a very good and understandable way. We loved to stay with u and will hopefully come back again. :) The hotel is located very well for those interested in explore the city by foot or take a cab/tuktuk to any of the great spots. The Hotel itself looks very industrial chic, as it is a former factory and thus the name - which we loved too.
- Paul (10/5): Boutique hotel is an experience in itself. - Loved the retro/industrial look of the old tractor factory converted to a unique boutique hotel. So many interesting things to look at. Beautiful styling and furnishings. Very kind & gentle manager and staff. Very close to the Grand Palace if you exit the front door and turn left. If you turn right, it's a whole other world, the real old Bangkok. Think someone else mentioned it, the sheets. They are synthetic/slippery not a good feel, and we really could not get comfortable on the hard bed. Beds are typically hard in Thailand, so it takes some getting used to. I'd recommend changing the sheets to cotton and putting a topper on the mattress. The location is good & bad. Good that it's a short walk to the Grand Palace, not so good in that it feels a little scary if you are travelling alone, as the street has a lot of homeless people.
- Nita (9/5): Great stay - Great little hotel in a lovely quiet area. Staff were very friendly and helpful showing us on a map all the best places to visit nearby.
- Michael (10/5): - Absolutely amazing hotel, great staff, and location.
The hotel also smelled amazing The stairs :)
- Peng Sern (10/5): Home Away From Home in a Perfect Location - A real home away from home. Friendly staff, cozy atmosphere, free snacks, great craft beer, and a super comfortable mattress. Only a 10-minute walk to temples and Khaosan Road. Highly recommend.
- Sherman (10/5): Second Visit, Still the Best Boutique Hotel Ever - This is my second time staying at House of Machine, and it truly is the best boutique hotel ever. Outstanding service, excellent cleanliness, and a perfect location. I will definitely come back again next year
- Jasmin (10/5): Wonderful stay. Everyone is so kind, accommodating and gracious. - We did not have breakfast
- Ian (3/5): - I didn't get the room I paid for the first night. Apparently, it was Booking.com fault because they didn't forward the booking, which is rubbish because they sent me confirmation 🙄 Read the above, I'll never go back there.
- Anita (9/5): Great place to stay - Size of the room, the bathroom and that you could close the doors to the livingroom. The location was excellent, even if it doesn’t seem like it when you arrive. Cool design, we loved it! The breakfast was just toast with jam and some unhealthy cereals. We didn’t eat there. Could hear noice from the other rooms.
- Marcia (9/5): Very enjoyable stay in the heart of the old town. - The kindness of the staff. The shower didn’t have pressure and was not really hot. But overall was minor.
- Urban (7/5): Bra men läget sådär - Fina rum bra servixe Läget, ligger i tråkiga kvarter tyvärr
- Linda (10/5): - Amazing staff Super helpful, friendly and generally a really nice energy about them.
Interesting, clean and spacious rooms. Close to lots of food and activities Nothing cones to mind.
- Florin (9/5): -
- Sven (10/5): - Die Lage | Sauberkeit | Ruhige Lage | Location | Sehr hilfsbereites Personal Das Morgenessen könnte reichhaltiger sein.
- Ben (10/5): -

- ELENI (10/5): -
- Ricardo Jorge Rosa (10/5): -
- Catharina (9/5): -
- Sarish (9/5): 10/10 will return - Refer to Google review Breakfast was average
- Gary (7/5): - Unique ,clean spacious room.
Hotel in general is very clean.
Friendly staff , Oke at reception was very helpful.
Walking distance to all major attractions. No lift ,
Steep stairwell.
A lot of noise can be heard from adjacent rooms.
Ear plugs supplied.
Many homeless in the area.
- Sharon (9/5): Recommended for solo travelers. - 1. Design. Very very unique and super nice.
2. Staff - awesome. Everything you need they’ll help you. Also they have great recommendations for restaurants and attractions.
3. Cleanness - super clean.
4. Room is big and comfy.
5. Walking distance to Khao san and grand palace. The only thing I didn’t like is the street the
Hotel is in. Many homeless people, also drug addicts. Not very nice to walk the street, especially at night.
- Chris (10/5): - Our stay at the House of Machine was wonderful. The place was clean and tidy with a really cool industrial design that felt very unique. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.
The location was perfect for sightseeing, we could easily walk to the Grand Palace and Wat Pho temple.
Be aware that there is no lift at this hotel, but the staff were amazing and helped us with our luggage immediately.
- Jesper Elias (8/5): - Cool interior design. Spacious room. Great staff Be cautious when walking on the staircase
- karen (10/5): We had a very nice stay there. I definitely recommend. - The hotel was cute, comfortable, quiet, modern, and reasonably priced. The staff were exceptionally nice and welcoming. There are several nice common areas for relaxing, and the room was set up like a small apartment with a kitchen. It is within walking distance to the Grand Palace and the reclining Buddha, as well as the river. As of now, they do not have a lift, so you need to be able to do stairs, but they carried all of our luggage up for us.
- Michał (10/5): -
- Adeel (7/5): Nice and different place but limited options if you are looking for a proper hotel kind experience. - Nice location as it’s close to the grand palace and other attraction. You can literally walk. However this is relatively quite area and not close to center and night market. Must take taxi or MRT. No close to the night market and other lively places. At night it’s gets too quiet which can be good but far from center life.
- Yoko (9/5): -
- Tim (10/5): Excellent!! - Excellent hotel, clean room with great facilities and wonderful service. Every convenience in the room including toiletries. Very helpful staff and location just a stone’s throw from the Grand Palace. Highly recommended
- emma (9/5): Staff were very helpful and informative - Very Quirky, different type of hotel, good for a short stay and close to River, Restaurants and Palace
- thomas (10/5): - The staff and decor generous room size No smoking on balcony
- Kay (9/5): -
- Zukie (9/5): - Love the story behind the hotel, the little details of the hotel and the attentiveness of the staff. The deco of the hotel is better than the pictures shown. There is room for improvement for noise insulation, however, given the history behind, it's understandable.
- Riley (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean, good aesthetic. Gentleman working the front desk is lovely.
- Greg (9/5): A Unique Hotel in a Central Location - We enjoyed the location of the hotel. Everything was in easy walking distance. Our host was helpful and very friendly. The room was unique, well maintained and quiet. We had an enjoyable stay.
- Robert (9/5): Beautiful Boutique Hotel in Old Town - Reception staff were excellent and very helpful. Beautifully decorated hotel on the old town. Rooms very clean with excellent facilities. No lift could have been an issue given we had multiple bags as we were on 6 week tour of Asia, but reception staff took our bags to and from room. Also 2000 TBH needed as deposit at checkin or passport to protect against room damages I assume. Minor irritation but assume this due to bad experiences the hotel has had in the past. Some noise as hotel is based in old town and residential area so local life starts very early, albeit hotel provide ear plugs. Display on AC unit very bright so provides some ambient lighting equivalent to night light in room when sleeping. To keep hotel very clean you need to remove shoes before entering area of hotel where rooms are accessed.
- Tomas (9/5): Superb - Staff was great. Very clean. Breakfast could better but there is plenty good spots to eat arround
- Rachel (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely welcome and the hotel is ideally located. Enjoyed the balcony space in our room (4th floor.) More than happy to stay again if we visit Bangkok a second time.
- Mauro (3/5): Not worth the price. More like a hostel. Noisy. - This hotel is not worth the price they ask. The rooms face the street which is very noisy and the windows are not sound proof (they even provide earplugs, but they are not enough). The breakfast has very limited options (you have to choose from a menu) and it’s not very good, we could not finish it and had to have breakfast somewhere else. Another thing to be aware of is the location, although is close to the main temples and attractions, it’s not a very nice zone, the area is surrounded by very old buildings and people sleeping in the street. We left the hotel because we couldn’t sleep and went to a 5-stars hotel where we paid less than what we had paid at House of Machine. This hotel is more like a hostel, very basic and to stay one night or two, but it’s definitely not worth the price as there are many other hotels around offering better accommodation for the same price.
- Charly (10/5): Exceptional - Noy's great hospitality.
- Marco (10/5): Great location in Bangkok - The hotel is really great and is located in an exceptioonal location near the old town: you can travel around by feet almost anywhere.
The staff is very frindly and has arreged for us (two couples) two different excursions near Bagngkok with a private driver at a very reasonable price.
I would highly recommend this location! The only little cons is about the choice of breakfast. A gretare choice would be appreciated.
- Elisabeth (10/5): A haven of peace in the middle of Bangkok - Beautifully designed, comfortable, individual, in the heart of the old town, ideal starting point for discovering Bangkok. A special thanks to the receptionist who makes you feel so welcome and supports you if needed. We came here twice during our vacation. As we had a late flight and had been walking around in hot Bangkok after checkout, I greatly appreciated the possibility to take a shower when picking up our luggage.
- Agnieszka (10/5): Very clean, comfortable and for us great location. - This was a perfect hotel for us. Very clean, comfortable and great location. We only had two days in Bangkok and planed to visit the Grand Palace, Wat Pho and Wat Arun which were all located within 20 min walk from the hotel. The other direction (about 10 min walk) there was a lively nigh live spot full of bars. We recommend visiting Mango Vegan Restaurant! Also, House of the Machine has amazing staff. Thank you so much for making our stay so welcoming! N/A
- Emma (10/5): Exceptional - Great location close to hustle and bustle, but in a very quiet area. Very lovely and helpful .. owner/manager?
We even got a new year gift bag when we arrived. Free snacks in lobby. Really nice Nothing.. ok the stairs could be hard for some people. We were on the 4th floor.. but it was ok for us.
The view from the terrace wasn't really a view but the space was still really nice
- Martin (10/5): Amazing Hotel in Great Location - Amazing hotel in a great spot to explore the old town food, shops and temples. The staff were amazing, friendly, professional and helpful. Good choice for breakfast. Nothing
- Leora (9/5): Superb - Staff was extremely helpful. The decor was amazing. Breakfast could have been better
- Kim (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sorcha (10/5): Exceptional - Great hotel! Lovely decor, different to your standard hotel room and so much more character. The staff were super friendly and very helpful, thank you so much! The room was very quiet as well even though you're right in the centre. Beds were very comfortable. Definitely recommend!
- Fabio (10/5): Exceptional - Great atmosphere, great location. Superb. Everything was outstanding
- Toby (10/5): Exceptional - Very stylish hotel, fantastic staff, super comfortable bed and perfect location to explore Bangkok by foot
- Clive (9/5): Superb - The location was excellent, with the hotel being a short walk to the Grand Palace and some of the great temples. There didn't seem to be a metro station very close but we enjoyed using buses in order to get to other areas. Noi, the live in Manager was there to help all the time. He was incredible. Very approachable with a good sense of humour and always happy to help. The hotel is very modern and funky and our room was very spacious and the beds extremely comfortable. It was a lovely place to hang out in when you didn't feel like exploring. I was a bit disappointed with the breakfast. A choice of continental breakfast would have been nice.
- Alistair (10/5): Exceptional -
- Louise (9/5): Fabulous couple of nights - welcomed - staff couldn’t do enough - The decor - room size - service (orange juice and a delicious treat on arrival) and great location as a centre
point for visiting main temples and Grand Palace Nothing -
All amazing
- Inga (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bradley (10/5): Exceptional -
- Han (9/5): Superb - Lovely boutique hotel, close to the Grand palace
- Erin (10/5): Close distance to and amazing coffee- breakfast- lunch spot that we went to 3 times in the two days we were there calle - Honestly everything about this place was amazing. The Service was SO exceptional, friendly, helpful and polite!
The room was SO clean and prepared with everything we needed. I loved the private patio to blog and lounge in the early mornings. Everything was great! No complaints
- C (10/5): Nọii made my stay so fabulous!!! Thank you Nọii - you are the best!! - Nọii - best!!! He helped me with every single detail - whatever I asked reasonable was granted.. v professional too.. v welcoming.. excellent service!!! Nil
- Linsey (9/5): Superb -
- Jason (8/5): Great little oasis for recovering from the high energy of Bangkok. - Very cute, off the beaten path. The neighborhood wasn't remarkable but it was nice to be away from the crowds. Once inside, there were lots of fun design choices to keep us comfortable and ready to head back into the heat.
It was mid-November, but we got a surprise Christmas gift. The staff was always attentive and pleasant. Not a problem for us, but note that there is no elevator. The bigger suites are higher up (no more than three flights of stairs). The coffee is the lobby was instant; that felt like a miss for the otherwise mid-high end vibe they are going for.
- Richard (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mauricio (9/5): Nice Boutique concept hotel - all the space is beautiful. Nice design, small details.. the staff is super kind and give you the support anytime for everything you need. nothing
- Se (4/5): Disappointing - The host was quite hospitable and kind. Most of the amenities were cheap things. For example, room slippers were made of very, very thin paper to the degree that they were useless. But anyhow it was OK because I didn't have high expectations of the amenities for the price. I think the real disappointing thing about this hotel was its basics as a hotel. I stayed there for 5 nights and the toilet was clogged twice. Besides, when guests on the other floors flushed their toilets, watery air frequently bubbled up in the toilet of my room. Once I was sitting on the toilet stool when the air erupted so strong that I had experienced a most embarassing moment of my life. Ventilation too was problematic. There was no ventilation fan in the bathroom. So to remove moisture gathered in the room and to get some fresh air, I wanted to open the window. But I couldn't do that because there were no insect screens installed in the window frames. As to soundproofing, the room I stayed in was completely defenseless. People on the surrounding streets were making all kinds of loud noises (talking, screaming, shouting, laughing) well after 1:00 AM or 2:00.
- Isabelle (10/5): The perfect spot to experience Bangkok on foot - The room was large and had its own private balcony, full of green plants. I loved having my morning coffee there or a break in the afternoon. The hotel is extremely well located. Close to the grand palace and other points of interest so you can arrive before the tourist rush. Lots the proximity with Chinatown and great food options.
- Kity (10/5): Exceptional -
