• Gary (10/5): First Place in The Last Best Place Contest - I have spent the last several years on the road as a perpetual tourist in Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Mexico, Nepal, Turkey, Sri Lanka and Thailand. Paa and Michael's Resort is my favorite place of all. They excel in all categories, but it goes beyond the categorical. If you need more explanation than this, just go to all the aforementioned countries and then to Paa and Michael's. I am from Montana, sometimes referred to as "The Last Best Place". I'm here to tell you that ain't true because Paa and Michael's is. Leaving, and only that.

• Sean (10/5): Staying at the resort is like living in a genuine tropical paradise. - We were upgraded to a room instead of a tent because it was too close to rainy season. The owners are Incredibly friendly people and very accommodating. There are some standard issues you might expect when staying in the countryside and not in a fancy hotel.

• Gary (10/5): Home of my heart. - Absolutely everything! Without question, my favorite place to stay on the planet, and that is the absolute truth. I have stayed here (on 3-6 month stays) several times now. Pang, Mai and their family are superb. Pang makes excellent food. The quiet country setting is idyllic. The local towns have all needs covered. My accommodation was perfect with bathroom unsuited. Having to leave when my visa ran out.

• Jakub (10/5): - The place is quite hard to get to without your own vehicle, but once you are there it’s heaven on earth. The food is amazing and the stuff is super helpful and creates unique family atmosphere. Huts are very comfortable and views for pineapple farm are very calming. All of this in the most affordable price we encounter in Thailand. Definitely would come back!

• Shelly (7/5): It was a peaceful place to stop on our bikes and can’t beat the price! - This was a great location for us as we were biking to Chiang Rai. It was peaceful and we had private rooms. The meals (dinner and breakfast) were plenty. There was some confusion about our booking when we checked in but was easily straightened out. I’m not sure the bed had been cleaned from the previous guest. Make sure to bring your own towel, soap and tp.

• Serhii (10/5): - The place is incredible.I stayed in a traditional-style bamboo house by a small lake full of fish. All around are lush gardens, a pineapple field, palm trees, and exotic plants. The area is spacious, well-maintained, and very peaceful. Everything is thoughtfully arranged — even the number of toilets is perfect, so there’s never a wait. Throughout the day you hear birds singing, the air is fresh, and the views are calming. Two friendly dogs live on the property, bringing warmth and joy. It’s a place I’ll definitely return to.
